Topic One
Employee Involvement and Participation
Employment involvement in the company’s workforce can make it feels every employee is a part of this organization. Thus, they will become more responsible towards their allocated jobs and work to provide better results to the company furthermore, which helps the company increase the productivity and sales target. According to Sun and Bunchapattanasakda (2019), employee engagement is the key to success in a business organization.
However, research states that only 21% of the employees are engaged with their work. 64% of the US companies say that it is more thought to retain employees rather than hire them. Also, 71% of the UK based companies is argued that employee’s engagement is necessary to achieve success. Also, companies with high employer engagement capacity have been 21% more profitable than others. Also, 69% of the global employees said they would work harder if they were getting appreciated.
The Deloitte Model of employee’s engagement is a model that helps to create a perfect and safe environment for the employees to work within. The main aim of this employee engagement model is to develop a working culture where employees are involved, challenged, and respected. The UK based company Deloitte has been using this academic model to create an irresistible working environment for their employees (Deloitte Insights.com, 2022). UK based Retail Company Amazon uses an open communication door to collaborate with their employees. It becomes beneficial for the company and simulations to improve workplace experiences and improve leadership policy (Amazon.com, 2022).
On the other hand, Aetna UK based company has poor engagement performance. Therefore, as a health care company, the company has to face challenges in balancing the corporate social responsibility and the sustainable development of the company. As per me, every global business should start providing training on employees’ involvement and participation. Therefore, it can be stated that employee involvement and participation can improve organization reliability.
Topic Two
Wellbeing in the Workplace
It seems that investing in well-being in the workforce can increase employee engagement and lead the organisation to more resilient activities. Almost 85% of the global company’s state that the wellbeing programmes of the business organisation can enhance employee engagement of the company (Bolden-Barrett, 2017). In addition to this, it also helps increase employee productivity and helps attract employee brand.
The current research shows that almost 45% of the employees suffer from stress during working hours. However, Motyka (2018) states that wellbeing in the workplace can enhance the health safety performance of the employees. They become happier as well as can able to develop better output. Two-factor theory, after that several factors included in the workplace environment that can bale to enhance the job satisfaction of the workers, as well as some of the concept, can be the reason of dissatisfaction (Lancellotta, E. and Bortolotti, 2020). Thus, every element independently comes with each other. Several business organizations implement this theoretical model to enhance the workplace’s wellbeing.
Most of the UK based companies are using this theory model to achieve their business goals. Also, this model helps the companies in retaining the employees. The UK-based global company, Walmart, has always been implementing their leadership styles to maintain the workplace’s wellbeing. It becomes beneficial for the company. As a result, Walmart has become one of the largest retail industries in the UK. On the other hand, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) the UK has poor wellbeing performance at the workplace of the company.
This becomes the reason for the poor performance in every aspect of the company, such as the low sales rate and productivity. Also, the company cannot be able to meet the customer’s satisfaction. The company has to face challenges in balancing corporate social responsibility and the sustainable development of the company. As per me, every global business should start providing training on employees’ involvement and participation.
