Assignment Sample on 7144SOH Developing you as a Healthcare Leader

Introduction

The personal development plan helps to understand the outlined goals to be achieved in order to understand about the strength and weakness of the plan. Moreover, in order to fulfil the personal development plan one may become fully aware about the aims, objectives and even the goals of the plan thoroughly. An individual ought to assess several elements for developing the personality in the process of academic growth. According to Stofer et al. (2021), teachers and professors play an important role in developing the personalities to lead to individual passions and interests. It is therefore essential for a student to initiate personality and aptitude development right from the school levels to emerge as an ideal example for the larger society. It not only depends on the educational knowledge and experiences but also relies greatly on the reflective learning from different people: peers, seniors, professors and other professionals. As opined by Seno-Alday (2021), reflective learning is considered highly meritorious in showing the value of positive interactions to students. Hence, our mentors often apply leadership strategies in class to generate creative and coordinating conduct among groups. It is even gestured that early initiation of personal analysis and self-assessment ensure timely development of idealistic attitudes which resonate with workplace demands and familial responsibilities (Davidsson & Gruenhagen, 2021). The attempt from my end is to determine strategic goals for shorter, medium and longer targets in life. Each of these elements are interconnected to my personal analysis and understanding of communication and engagement in Coventry City.

Personal Development Plan

Short term goal: To focus in class, complete my assignments properly and score good marks in the semester finals.

S – specific  M- measurable  A-attainable R- relevant T- time bound
I have to receive good grades in my assessments. Besides, I also need to improve my abilities to manage pupils and determine individual psychologies which is being taught in our curriculum. I should focus on scoring well in the examinations to be able to acquire the eligibility marks for applying for mentorship. I must also participate and engage in two-way communications to clear conceptions on teaching approaches. There is a need to evolve learnings on collateral aspects such as communication, psychological behaviours and participating teaching (POPESCU, n.d.). The goal also resonates with my needs to attain competitive preference in the classes. I would have to assess my abilities using comparative analytics. Here, I would need to employ the weekly and monthly review techniques to check my class performances. I would have to consider feedback from seniors and professors on my submissions regularly. I can successfully measure my performances from test reports that would occur in class to extend my preparations for semesters. There is a need to process learnings in relation with the submission criteria which evaluate research and presentation (Blandford et al. 2018). I must also glance through the results on assignments to find errors where I must work on before appearing for finales. The performance reports in assignments are key indicators of one’s dedication and genuineness in academics (Maican et al. 2019). It is also fundamental in determining my capabilities in handling different software like Power Point, Word, Excel, etc. The chosen goal aligns different basic preparations that can develop interpersonal skills with seniors and juniors. Experience derived from peers would help to advance application-based learning during class communications. These also coincide with the need to develop software skills while giving presentations to students in future. I can charter specific time for watching tutorials and taking tips that enhance my speed and also share them with seniors. Learning is an integral part for tutorship. The process is integrated with academics as teachers must be able to share the right knowledge with students (Bugaj et al. 2019). Therefore, the goal is highly relevant to my future agendas in the career field. The skills culminated here would be extended to different applications in the career. As a teacher, I must be able to guide candidates with the help of my leadership qualities and mentor them to be genuine in their professions. Academic qualification is the key to avail the opportunity for applying in relevant jobs. The entire percentage of my PERSONAL targets is based on academic learning and exchanging knowledge. I would need to divide my educational standards in monthly and quarterly segments. In the first three months, I would have to assess submissions, research and obtain professor feedback to rectify my problems and gaps. I should use this opportunity to learn personally about concepts and clarify my doubts on subjects. I would use the remaining three months to revise and further study new aspects relevant to the examination. I must generate time every week to research in an advanced level on the topics. Advanced learning eases the scopes for diversifying knowledge on subject contexts which advances answers resulting in upgrades (Aminoff &Pihlajamaa, 2020).
The primary agenda in schools and colleges is to obtain abundant learnings which can help to advance career prospects(Nazar et al. 2018). Apart from the class teachings, one ought to undergo outside research and discuss them with professors who mentor the right knowledge with their experiences. I think these values are best resonated in the short-term goal chosen. It offers the scope to learn and showcase learnings through different assignments, tasks, practical and groupwork given during classes. The other advantage is that it enables students to connect with the professors and teachers to seek proper guidance which in turn develops personalities for mutual learning. I think this skill is highly valuable in the changing teaching scenario. The convention of academic learning is currently beyond one-way communication which must be initiated in the beginning (Fagerholm et al. 2018). I also think the chosen practices would help me in retaining my focus on the career target and deter from excessive engagement in punks and sundries. I also believe these practices are necessary to develop good scores which happen to be the first criteria for competitive assortment in local and international job recruitment platforms. I think that the students may have the access to better learning processes and even have the effective influence of teachers in order to encourage the students to learn better. Moreover, with the help of transformational leadership, the kind of leadership duties that is required in academics with the help of different skill management (Antonopoulou et al., 2021).

Medium Term Goal: To improve my communication skills and language skills, particularly English for easing interactions with natives

S – specific  M- measurable  A-attainable R- relevant T- time bound
English is a common media for interaction across all parts of England (Damsa&Ugelvik, 2017). This is why I need to improve my language skills. I must specially focus on colloquial English language to be able to learn about words used by locals popularly. I also need to work on my interactive abilities in the language which can be best generated by engaging with my peers and others in my accommodation and campus locations. The reason is that I have noted my weakness in understanding colloquial location languages. It would affect my efficacy to engage personally with the staff in campus for fulfilling needs. It is important to develop the learnings by engaging with PERSONAL institutions (Crittenden et al. 2019). The language clubs within the college and university campuses would come to my rescue. I would have to set a charter to assess my improvements by reviewing my promptness in answering and talking to people in appropriate sentences. Fellow peers attending these classes can prove useful. I would also seek help from local friends who have been living in different communities and regions of England for critical assessment of my conversation skills and speech. Test issued by mentors could help in advancing my language skills intime. Attaining the ability to fluently communicate in local languages is very important (Slaughter & Cross, 2021). English, however, is not merely a local language. I must be able to connect with local guardians as a teacher. So, I must be able to access my gaps in time to be able to speak fluently while I complete my academics. I think I can be able to attain this with time and dedicated learning. The class feedback in group tasks given during language classes could help in improving. Regular attendance in the clubs and classes would be necessary to be updated on teachings. Accent classes have to be particularly noted. The efficiency of an ideal and engaging teacher is measured from their ability to connect with students (Ramirez et al. 2018). Having a strong control on the language would help me in extending my career advantages. I also think it will help me in interacting with my friends and colleagues daily. I think a hearty conversation is initiated between people when the language is well understood by one another. For this, interaction plays vital role in strengthening connections. I also think it is relatable for individuals to come for help or with queries when people mutually understand the language being spoken. I ought to develop a special plan where I would assess my understanding of the local English language. I must complete the course in a year to be able to apply the teachings while communicating with people. In the first two weeks, I would assess my condition in understanding colloquial English dialects that are spoken within my university. I can further expand it from clubs to outside after minimum three months of language classes. In this case, I must assess the assignments given and try to find resemblance with real-time situations. I think this approach would advance my skills faster.
The application of English language is not only limited to communication in a local level. The language is universally accepted and helps individuals to communicate in every situation (Rao, 2019). As a result, this goal highly resonates with my personal and PERSONAL agendas. I think language classes would empower my confidence in attending and meeting people and talking to regularly. It is very important to flourish my personality and impression while I apply for jobs and also while I attend students, fellow teachers, seniors or parents. The learnings would also evolve fluency besides the ability to configure whatever natives are trying to convey (Cohen & Cohen, 2018). The ability to communicate properly begins with the language in verbal and written. So, the language classes and clubs can act as whetting stones to sharpen my experiences. It would also help me in improving my vocabulary which is essential if I intend to teach language subjects in classes. However, it must be seen that the classes are attended regularly and carefully and doubts are not going unattended (Clark et al. 2019). Otherwise, I would be lagging behind as the time is quite short for courses. Being teacher, the English language may help me in better conversation with the students and as English is the most well-spoken and frequently spoken language of the world the people may not face any kind of problem. Therefore, I aim to see that the class not just clearly understands although makes sure to clarify doubts.

Longer Term Goal:  I must enhance my PERSONAL skills to improve my opportunities for teaching at Coventry University and settle at the city.

S – specific  M- measurable  A-attainable R- relevant T- time bound
I must segregate the necessary skills that would make me a recommended and eligible candidate for teaching. For this, the critical thinking skills play an essential role. Teachers have to locate the best for students and guide them on the rights and wrongs time and again (Goodman & Cook, 2019). I must also work on my behavioural skills to meet the expected decorum in classes. I would need to find crash courses where mentors would guide on soft skills like organisation, creative thinking. Leadership approaches have to be aligned to motivate students in attending classes. I need to inspire students to be responsible and accountable. Measuring the success of a teacher is a challenge and can be best derived from class performances. I must verify my course requirements in terms of academics and interpersonal abilities. I might also need to align seniors from my academic fields for guidance and critical assessment. It is because professors get connected to students in classes and observe for the longest time (Dhawan, 2020). Therefore, they can offer inputs on my gaps and areas where I must work on. Self-assessment would also be considered useful to secure personal interests. I must verify my ability to solve conflicts among my friends most conveniently. I must attempt to assess my skills in relation to the eligibility criteria of Coventry University. Their considerations, job responsibilities and expectancies would be easily available and offer critical insight on my existing condition. Academic qualification is equally supported by other skills like patience, team-building and problem-solving abilities to reflect ideal behaviours in classes (Abdi et al. 2021). These would constitute my short goal fragments while preparing for the tutorship programme. As role models, teachers have to be exemplary in their personal conduct during class hours at least. Therefore, I ought to take help from fellow seniors who are also preparing for teaching. Attaining the teaching career at Coventry would allow me to sustain my plans for settling in the city. Hence, the goal is relevant to my future plans. I also think that my interests align with this goal as I have always focused on mentorship careers only. Furthermore, the plan would help me to apply my learnings in different clubs and classes for language and communication locally. Therefore, teaching at Coventry University would help me in easily acclimatising. The work environment is also suitable to my expectancies. Having said that, it is essential to add values which can enhance student performances (Adams & Blair, 2019). The entire process would be a bit time-consuming and therefore I must start early. I must divide my PERSONAL development through my academic career in undergraduate and post graduate degrees. The first year in every course would be used to assess the nature of teachers and their managerial approaches. This time would also be employed to develop strong interpersonal relations with the professors to avail future guidance (Leonard et al. 2018). I would like to use an external course on teaching techniques where we would be taught important tips to engage with students. These courses would be accommodated online and I would fix three days for these courses.
Considering the above practices would help me in advancing my future plans for settling in Coventry city. I can be able to engage socially as I would be pursuing special courses on local dialects. Pursuing this goal would ensure my learnings do not go in vain. It is also noted that these practices have direct implications on one’s personality (Huda &Teh, 2018). For instance, the patience and perseverance are effective in handling critical situations during classes and even in families. These practices also enhance personalities which is important to secure a respected position in the society (Hirschi, 2018). The target is also meeting my interests in career which is why I think this plan must be followed thoroughly. The work place chosen is also my academic institution which implies my preference as a candidate. However, it would be essential to qualify the standards of the institution for which both academic and skill-based learnings are necessary (Rohm et al. 2021). The analytical parameters also coincide with the agendas to secure a leading example in classes. The leadership targets would be best flourished to motivate better coordination. I have to make sure to understand about the cultural background of the place I am shifting so that I may be able to perform cultural leadership and also it may help me to understand even conversant with the students as well as the parents for the academic purposes.

Conclusion

Several important aspects and practices have been highlighted in this plan. I think these values would enable me in improving and improvising continuously. The goals chosen here are reflective of my existing skills which include patience and interpersonal engagement. Since, I am very active in socialising, I think these practices would be easier to apply regularly. However, as highlighted above, I must opt to diversify and segregate approaches according to situational needs. It is essential to separate personal and PERSONAL aspects when it comes to development. Being able to retain skills learned through practices would provide abundant scopes in enhancing job opportunities. For instance, my goal to work on communication and language resonate with my future plans for settling in the city. Similarly, fluency in English would ease social interactions which are essential to sustain in communities. I also think the academic ventures would affect my competitive opportunities in getting the job at Coventry University. Although I would be receiving some preference being a student at this institution, I must not make it an undue advantage. It puts an additional responsibility to prove my worth over others, both in academics and PERSONAL conduct for bettering student’s lives.
