Out of all the technologies from the Gartner Hype Cycle of 2020, I chose digital me. Nowadays, all nations are into incorporating digitization in all aspects of life. Digitization has been a significant advantage in the current scenario of Covid-19 (Gartner. 2020).

Due to the maintenance of safe distance and the rules of home quarantine, many people could not receive enough necessities. The digital platform was helpful for this. In China, inhabitants were strictly quarantined in their homes. They were allowed to order essentials online or call shops to deliver things to them. Although people were on the verge of depression from being held captive in their houses, it drastically diminished the infected percentage. The same goes for the contemporary age.

Individuals are too busy to step out. After the beginning of working remotely, people are stuck in their houses most of the time. During their active lifestyle, they can have access to any necessity from the comfort of their home. The only requirement is access to stable internet. With the increase in the significance of the internet, the world is connecting to the internet more and more. This change is relatively rapid. Therefore, it is evident that soon digitization will take over the world for a better future.
