Statement of Purpose
My interest in the topic of cultural nuances and interpretation was formed and developed all throughout my life in various ways. I have experienced being exposed to various types of cultures through being a cultural mediator, learner or a teacher. During my school’s days I use to play a role of cultural interpreter by having thriving conversation with families and students who wants to communicate in a language different from English language. I use to work as an oral connection between the way of life of students and the ethnicity of student’s family. Additionally, I use to interpret the test questions and reactions of students more precisely and unbiased. Further, cultural interpreter also decodes school data and program proposals to families of students, also to the ancestors of family, relational peculiarities and worries to the school. Being exposed to different cultures has motivated me to change my way of thinking in order to effectively express my own self on how different cultures are ties together.
In my opinion college is another chapter in the life of students which is filled with exciting and new experience and good time to explore further innovative and diverse cultural ideas. There is no other way better than joining a college communication and culture in order to learn about the different culture, history and ideas (Ayers et.al. 2018). I don’t think it would be possible to be fluent in the interpreting different languages without actually immersing myself in the language and the culture of different people.
This specific experience since my childhood has become a very significant factor in my choice of cultural nuance role in interpreting as an area for my graduation degree from GSICCS (graduate school of international culture and communication studies). I have researched from various website and some colleagues about the extensive facilities that GSICCS provides for gaining knowledge about various cultures and to learn about cultural interpreter, which compliment me enormously.
The school provides a thorough integrative methodology that spotlight on controlling the students in their general field of exploration and other approaches. One of the qualities of this research topic in GSICCS is the manner by which it brings three regions of learning, lingo, ethnicity, and society under a typical subject of International Communications (Waisbord, 2019). Thus, this assorted backgrounds and experience of both workforce and understudies, makes a genuinely captivating and pleasant learning surrounding. While upgrading skill in the field of worldwide culture and communication contemplate, the instructive exercises and exploration route of GSICCS are planned with the more extensive point of creating HR with an internationalist standpoint established on such expert information. GISCCS will empower exploration of a hypothetical and experimental nature for the different communication role like linguistic, social and cultural terms, and not only at the miniature level, but communication between people, yet in addition the e-mail sent by people to the general public all in all, lastly socio-political correspondence among general public authorities (Long et.al. 2018). Also, in GSICCS English will be utilized as the essential language of instruction and examination.
I believe that graduation degree in cultural interpretation would be invaluable in helping me to achieve my career objectives. It would enable me to channel my conceptual skill in analysing the issues which I will face during communication with people of different culture and will help me to resolve them. This degree will also help me to gain practical knowledge about the entire cultural activities and make a better relationship with people of different cultures, which will eventually help me to interpret the language easily.
After fruitful achievement of my topic I believe this will bring the more opportunities to my life, for example, it will provide various opportunities of finding a prominent line of work in public and global companies. Further, the broad knowledge regarding the topic will support me to understand the issues of the modern culture and to work on those different modern cultures.
I believe that this study program can definitely benefit me in this career path. I strongly trust that I will be capable of relating all of my experiences in GSICSS to my professional and academic goals in life and in other endeavours in my life.
While studying about the cultural interpretation in my prime objective, my interest in different cultures, traditions and travelling will help me to maintain a sense of perspective in life. I also believe that acquiring graduation degree from GSICSS will provide the most practical experience in my academic and will act as a significant stage for accomplishing my objectives for learning different cultural languages.
I am eager to pursue my graduation degree by enrolling in GSICSS program. Aside from acquiring degree, I also firmly believe that the graduation life will give me the opportunity to communicate with different student and teachers coming from different cultural background.
