Introduction
The report sheds light on discussing the geographical significance and the factors which motivate tourism in the North Dakota state of the USA. In order to critically analyze the effectiveness of the geographical location different typologies such as the lodging options time to visit accommodation transportation specialty in the food and drinks have been included. North Dakota is a community shaped by tradition, history, and fresh perspective (North Dakota State Government, 2021). Its mission as a community is to give heritage to the future and tourists.

North Dakota belongs to the North American continent and the area of the state is 70,700 sqm. The official language is English and there are 7 airports scheduled services that connect the national and international borders. Other neighboring states are South Dakota, Minnesota, and Montana. On the Northern side, the state is surrounded by Canada and the length of the boundary is 1312 m (Nations Online, 2021). White Butte is the highest point in the state and the red river is the lowest point.

2. Factors motivating tourism
The annual tourism marketing summit for North Dakota was held in conjunction with the main street summit in 2020 (ND Tourism, 2021). The elevation in the tourism sector of the state is mostly lifted due to the Halo effect created by the advertisement. It is researched that the promotional campaigns by the tourism department of North Dakota are creating a halo effect putting diversified aspects of the broader economy and the state to be a favorable place for the tourists are being reflected. For the entrepreneur, for students willing to attend colleges or even people looking out for purchasing a home after retirement, the advertisement is lifting a wide diversity and platform of North Dakota to be a good place for career development, business growth education, and attending college vacation home after retirement plans.

3. Lodging option
There are large options for lodging within the state. The national and state government provide lodging services to visitors in different price ranges and locations along with privately-owned accommodation businesses in different cities. Near to the tourist sites the accommodations provide advanced and superior services to the tourist and visitors. There are different choices for the visitors to avail accommodation and lodging options in the state. Businesses such as Hotel Dakota provide features and amenities associated with pet-friendly location, home-inspired comfort, complimentary breakfast to their guests (Hotel Dakota, 2021). Similarly, Fort Abraham Lincon state park provides campground options to the guests and visitors looking out for camping in the state. There are options such as seasonal lodging on the campsite and advanced booking facilities (North Dakota Parks and Recreation, 2018). Tourists and guests looking out for a luxurious experience in the state can also opt for resorts like Woodland Resort located on Devils Lake (The Crazy Tourist, 2019). For the camping enthusiastic full lakeside resort services are provided that also accompany bar-restaurant and general store.
4. Time to visit the state
North Dakota has a remarkably long temperature season that allows and provides the guests and the tourist with the option to enjoy the beauty of the state including sunny day’s snowfall as well as a delightful summer season. For June, July, and August, summer travel is the best option where the expected average temperature is 28 degrees centigrade (North Dakota Travel & Tourism, 2020). For September and mid-October, the average temperature is 19 degrees Celsius and the nights are relatively cool. The winter travels are mostly conducted from November till March and the temperature falls to minus 4 degrees Celsius. Apart from that for spring travel, late March and early April are the best times where the temperature is around 11 degrees Celsius.

5. Specialty food and drink
Knoephla
It is a dumpling with a creamy texture and potato soup which is yet another popular food in North Dakota. Mostly consumed during the winters and coldest days (Leah, 2020).
Walleye
It can be available both fried and grilled fresh from the lake. It can be said this is the fish of choice for people in North Dakota (Leah, 2020)
Sauerkraut
It is fermented cabbage which people in North Dakota like very much. It is used on a hot dog or even as a side for sausage (Leah, 2020).
Chokecherry
It is an official state fruit of North Dakota that is often used in wind gems and Jewellers. The most common way of incorporating it into cocktails in various ways is by fusing it in bourbon or vodka and substituting it with different types of cherry bringing the chokecherry bounce to life (The Daily Meal, 2020).
6. Things to do
There are a number of things in which the guests can enjoy festivals and holidays in North Dakota. From horse fest to folk fest there are countless ways in which North Dakota celebrates its colorful heritage. For example, cabin fever days mostly happen in the winter season during the first week of February (IExplore, 2020). It includes various sports which people can enjoy with friends and families. Similarly, the state government also conducts the North Dakota state fair every year during the summer season during July in the town of Minot. There are different activities and edibles which are conducted by the young folks in the state.
7. Ways to get in the state from Windsor or Detroit
There are different ways to visit the state from Windsor and Detroit. Compared to other means of transportation, airways are more convenient and reliable. The charges of airways from Detroit to Fargo are comparatively lower than the airway charges from Windsor to Fargo (Rome2rio, 2021). Apart from that, time of travel is also lower in the former option which is around 6 hours and for the latter, it is around 7 hours. The charge for traveling to the state from Detroit is 135 dollars while from Windsor it is 160 dollars (Rome2rio, 2021).
8. Types of transportation available
The means of transportation in North Dakota is very convenient. Public transportation in North Dakota has wide options such as railway bus transit taxi services by trials and airways (NDDOT, 2021). Based on the option reliability and expense the travelers can also choose the most convenient option. For example, in airways, the state is well connected to Bismarck airport, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, and other cargo services. Similarly, for bus and taxi services there is more than 80 transit in North Dakota and the transit services are local buses are also available round the clock.
Conclusion
From the above discussion, it can be concluded that North Dakota has a huge opportunity and scope for future development in terms of tourism and travel. Due to the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic and restrictions across the cross-border nations and States although the revenue generation and tourism industry has been widely impacted yet with the huge availability of tourist attractions locations easy transportation services and unique cuisines the scope for future advancement is very high in the state.
