Description

Generally, I have preferred Gibbs’ reflection model to describe my experiences and learning outcomes from an incident, more specifically, I have mentioned the reflection on the change process in an organization and its impact on the organization as well as employees. Recently, a certain change in my organization has been discussed such as a new department in my organization has been discussed, therefore, it definitely has an impact on the organizational success along with employees. In addition to that, description is the first part of the reflection report of Gibbs reflection model which helps to describe the current changes in an organization through which employees’ mind-set has been changed. Additionally, it may be stated that a well-structured reflection model similar to Gibbs’ reflection model may help the individuals to explore their feelings and thoughts deeply for understanding their strength and weak points (Adeani et al., 2020). I think that starting a new department in an organization is to be considered as a huge change in management which has a significant effect on the organizations with the help of changing organizational strategy, innovation strategies, organizational culture and technology advancement. The changes in organization may be planned over the several years or months by keeping the organizational profitability in mind which is effectively managed by all the individuals in an organization including me.

Feelings

Personally, I have found that there are certain advantages to starting a new department in an organization as it helps to improve our skills in new opportunities. According to me, there are certain scopes to show our technical skills with the help of effective leaders so it is an advantageous for us within an organization. On the other hand, it may be argued that several employees among us become more worried about their job in this organization as those employees have no such ideas or knowledge regarding the new department. Although it is fact that this change management may be difficult or more challenging for us, however, it definitely helps to increase our transferable skills in order to achieve the individual goals in near future. I think that the employees may be more concentrated or dedicated towards a specific task as the specific tasks are to be considered as new to the employees. In addition to that, it may be mentioned that a start-up new department in an organization may focus on business profitability with the help of proper investment and proper skills which has definitely a positive effect on the individual goal (Singh et al., 2020). Therefore, I think that a start-up new department has increased the employees’ interpersonal skills though facing certain challenges and difficulties which help the employees to improve their knowledge and confidence.

I have evaluated that the change process in an organization has provided good experiences if the organization has provided proper innovation strategy and training to the employees. More specifically, changes in organization have developed our knowledge and understanding among the employees which has enhanced the productivity. On the contrary, it may be mentioned that changes in process has increased team coordination among us, therefore, the entire team has performed as a team to enhance the organizational productivity. Apart from this, I have summarised that these organizational changes have raised our practical knowledge against this particular situation by facing more challenges and I have learnt the proper way to face the challenges peacefully. By analysing the change process in an organization, I have found that these change processes have increased the employees’ skills as well as develop their knowledge through which in future the employees are able to achieve the organizational goals. Positively the employees have shown their dedication and affection regarding their specific task which has enhanced their interpersonal skills with positive behaviour. Additionally, I have analysed that these change processes in organization have provided a lesson regarding a proper way to deal with these certain challenges within an organization. Communication skills have been established within an organization through which the existing and new employees recruiting for the new department have performed as a team by providing a positive motivational spirit towards the specific tasks. Team coordination has been set within an effective organizational culture which changes the employees’ psychology positively in these changes in organization which has provided a significant result. After analysing the change process in an organization, it may be stated that self-reflection with the help of Gibbs model is to be described as an effective tool of self-experiences of the employees as well as it has a significant effect on their learning (Reljić et al., 2019).

Conclusion

From the above discussion, it may be concluded that Gibbs reflection model has been considered as an effective model of self-reflection related to the experiences which have generated positive results. I have found that changes in management have provided positive results on the employees’ performances as the employees have tried to focus more on the organizational productivity by improving their knowledge and understanding. Apart from this, intellectual power of the employees has been changed according to the critical challenges to the employees as well as for changing processes in an organization, the employees have adopted effective processes to increase their knowledge. I have summarised that organizational changes have required strategic implementation, technological advancement through which an organization has successfully moved forward towards the company success. According to me, effective teamwork and team collaboration has developed among the employees who have helped a positive impact on the employee’s professional relationship as well as organizational productivity. In response to that, it is also a fact that the organization has developed their innovative ideas to provide a motivation towards us which has helped to improve our interpersonal skills and dedication.

I think that an action plan is highly required to adopt a strategic way to successfully manage the change process in an organization with the help of employees and organizational management. In addition to that, management and functional skills are important to manage the changes in organization, therefore management skills have been developed by online educational videos or training (Tatham et al., 2017). I feel that a healthy and comfortable work culture has been increased by the proper motivations of leaders and their support to the employees which is needed to inverse the productivity. According to me, organizations have adopted classical and contemporary leadership theories in which classical leadership theory may include trait, behavioural whereas contemporary theory may involve the transformational leadership in order to achieve success. Moreover, it may be mentioned that transformational leadership has a positive impact on the team collaboration, teamwork and employees’ performances with the help of effective communication (Andriani et al., 2018).
