Introduction
My professional goal is become an accountant and to take up a challenging and prospering job with one of the reputed companies in Australia. I have developed my career plan, which also includes the course selection and the university from where the accountancy course will be completed. My plan is to complete my master’s degree in the accountancy course and join the reputed university of ACCA in future. I have planned for my professional goal setting and achievement process, for my future. I choose accountancy as my future goal as accounting subject always interested me since childhood.
Personal achievements and professional development
I was good in learning and implementing accounting policies for a company. However, I faced a huge challenge in communicating the policies and strategies with the management and the co-workers. I could not communicate the relevance of the policies and accounting strategies to the concerned members, and this had questioned my calibre to handle different accounting related projects (Robertson-Smith and Markwick, 2009).
I had to develop a communication skill that would help me to discuss the relevant details about the accounting policies, to deal with various issues. This was an important part of the professional developmental process, required to improve my skills to handle the challenging project.
Career insights
The works conducted by an accountant in the modern business environment is quite challenging, as accountants needs to be aware about different accounting terms. To execute the works, the accountant has to be aware about the accurate strategies and communicate it with the management. Unless, an accountant is not good in communicating the requirements it is not possible to become an experienced accountant.
For professional developmental purpose, I have planned to improve my written and verbal communication process that will help me to handle the critical works. This would need me to examine the present challenges and adopt an effective measure that would help me to deal with various business related challenges.
Short term plan
Business communication and reporting process is quite different from the interaction done on a personal level. The members have to follow the exact process to communicate with the business associates and introduce the relevant strategies, to discuss the important points. Long term plan
In the long term plan, I intend to pursue my education on the accounting skills and policies. For this, I will get enrolled with the concerned university to get a qualified certification on the accounting course. With a proper presentation skill, accounting knowledge and an ability to deal with various challenges required to present the accounting information. This process will certainly help me to choose the right method and processes to present the accurate information to collect and valuate the essential information.
Personal strategies
I will get involved with the specific course to conduct the accounting course. I prefer to join a reputed company, as it will assist me to choose a career of my choice. For this, I plan to introduce a better strategy that will help me to improve my skill to deal with various issues. My goal is to join a reputed company, where I can imply my theoretical skill to increase my business and personal performances.
I will also upgrade my communicating and interaction skill, which is quite important to sustain in the tough market. During my employment term, I will get involved with self-awareness process that will talk about the skills required to deal with various operational issues. In the self-awareness program, I will analyse the weak areas that needs to be worked upon and indulge into the developmental program effectively.
I will consider the feedback provided by the managers and the co-workers quite seriously, as it is supposed to help me to deal with different challenges. In this case, I intend to develop my skill to identify the challenges and implement an accurate measure to deal with different accounting related issue (McAdam and Laffert, 2004).
Through the feedback process I intend to understand the areas that need to be worked upon. This feedback is quite valuable as it will assist me to work on the concerned areas that would affect my skill to become a skilful and experienced accountant. I have planned to acquire this efficiency skill by taking the feedback and by working on the areas of concern. This would certainly improve my skill to deal with various challenges.
I have planned to introduce a reliable method to indulge into self-analysis process that would assist me to deal with various challenges. It was essential to implement an accurate process to improve the communication skills, and this would be done by analysing my ability to accept the feedback and to work on the same.
My goal is to become an experienced accountant, who would also have the skills to prepare report and include the relevant information in the presentation process. With an improved communication process, I will surely be able to deal with various issues involved in the report presentation process.
