Task 1b- Self-reflection
Introduction
Organizational culture is the influence behind the employee with a strategic vision and mission and operational procedure with interconnectivity among the employees for better gain in efficiency and cooperation with value and respect. In this self-reflection, experiences regarding cultural analysis for the UK Company in international markets as Japan, Brazil and Germany are explained in detail.
Impacts of regional culture on the organizational culture of Multinational Enterprise (MNE)
MNE’s are carefully maintaining the global business expansion plan and thriving to make influence in the global market through easy adaptability and coordination of Supply Chain Management (SCM) with legal procedure. The inclusion of diverse employee force in the organizational operation will help to explore the market opportunity with ease of communication to eliminate the language barrier in business transactions. The availability complicated tax laws in Germany, lack of multilingual communication in Japan and strong regulatory formwork of Brazil are hindering the expansion plan of UK Company in a large extent to those markets. I am fortunate to accompany the project of international management where the pros and cons of Human Resource Management (HRM) are quite interesting and wide to deliver the business efficiency with effective performance. However, the organizational business policy is arguable in the foreign market with several differences such as market trend, consumer behaviour, market dependency with domestic suppliers and vendors, different language, religion, ethnicity, habits, beliefs, wearing and food habits (Sunarsi, 2020). My skills as communication, time management, active listening and critical analysis have grown by conducting the project of international context to manage the business parameters in foreign market. Further, I have analyzed the UK national culture and business affinity as opposed to the foreign market where companies are taking effective steps to incorporate the organizational culture with the operating country with values, ethics, morality and respect to accustom the market orientation for better opportunity and growth.
The internal and external communication is significant for continuing business with development according to the market trend here the inclusion of native workforce will allow the organization to communicate the customer and assess the needs of the consumer and duly developed to satisfy the customer Zeal. It has been mentioned that I have learned the global mindset to enhance interpersonal skills and conflict management for doing business in foreign markets where the UK Company is correlating the market environment with infrastructure, as of doing business bureaucracy, corruption, political stability and economic crisis for easy exploration of opportunity with time references. Moreover, the United Kingdom inhabits high masculinity, high individualism, a lot of positivity and confidence is witnessed in common British nationals. The headquarters employee is continuing as the cultural paradigm of the UK with respecting meritocracy and high competition. The complexity of tax law, language barriers, strong regulatory framework, market availability, access to labour market an relation with domestic and international suppliers, vendors and client are defining the market opportunity for the UK company in foreign land. I have acknowledged that, Communication, cultural exchange, in detail conversion and debate with colleagues as well as knowledge sharing are influencing the organizational culture for initiatives and innovation for problem solving of every day issues. The skills of interpersonal ability and cultural competence help to acknowledge the market barriers and ways to eliminate the barriers fluently to grow the market share in foreign country depending on the strong constraints of social behavioural culture of the domestic market. Japan is a strong economy where high consumerism, educated workforce and developed infrastructure is quite positive for business operations. On the other hand, frequent natural calamity, economic debt and technological development have been endured for business growth and profit margin (Tian et al., 2018).
It may be stated that the high infrastructure and political influence of Japan is quite friendly toward the foreign investor and start-ups for economic progress and business opportunity. On a contradictory note, Brazil is a growing developing economy that offers a large domestic market for the foreign business enterprises. MNE’s are regulating business in Brazil with a low level of innovation and complex tax structure which negatively impacted the company’s business objectives in Brazil. It may be opined that, the organizational culture of UK companies has accommodated the value based and fun loving Brazilian population with stability in cross border business functionary according Hofstede’s cultural dimensions theory. Language barrier and market diversity might be an issue to daily operations where I have learned the company culture to address the business criticality in foreign markets. On a specific note, bureaucracy and corruption is prevalent in Brazil and organizational benefit much dependent upon flexibility to offer transparency and accountability for gaining a wide reputation. High uncertainty avoidance and indulgence of the Brazilian population is corresponding to social connectivity and positive impact in business operations where I did the vast learning to prosper the business capability in Brazil for a UK company through regulating the HRM policy with trust and reliability (Petricevic and Teece, 2019).
It may be stated that Germany as a European country has some proximity of convergence of culture to accommodate the business objective for a steady growth and profit margin. The UK Companyfound ample opportunity in doing business in Germany, developed infrastructure, economic sustainability, innovative mindset and cultural openness has promoted the business directives for long time sustainability. On a different note, high labour cost, egoistic attitude and complicated tax structure is hindering the success rate of business operation with market competitiveness. The gap in organizational culture and market culture of foreign nation has widened the gap to appropriately doing business in the foreign market with changing labour law and human right expectation of common people. The high market competition, technological up gradation, time trending decision making are quite influential to successfully accomplish the business goals and better perspectives. The market potential to the extent of ambiguous and uncertainty of UK national culture is looking forward to establish bond among the market deed in foreign land with the affinity of national and organizational culture. It has to survive through the resistance of ingenious thinking and analysis of company deeds in the market operation with exposure to agility and resilience for improving the dynamic capability of the business operation (Altay et al., 2018). Other than that, the far right political activity has been witnessed in the culture of Germany which needs to be considered in business dealings and market communication for an easy consumer base and utilize the cultural influence for satisfying the consumer aspects. I have incorporated the flexibility in decision making by experiencing the UK companies change of legacy in organizational culture to reflect the business perspectives with happy shopping and responsibility for creation of value to the customer.
The business approaches of management need to be in order of ethics and responsibility where it has to coordinate the people with the job role and responsibility respecting the differences in organisational culture and availability of SCM. The frequent engagement of leaderships and cross cultural employee for verification and upgrade as well as incorporation in the organisational culture as the part of foreign domestic thoughts and beliefs to pre securely deals the employee with trust, credibility and loyalty towards the company. The organizational culture has taken a pragmatic approach to deal with the business functionary and accompany the market trend and consumer behaviour with extensive interaction and building cohesive public relationships with omni-channel communication and marketing methods for easy popularity and recognition of brand (Nam, 2018). The international business approach is heavily dependent on the organizational policy and adaptability with active workforce to address the consumer directive positively with respect, value, ethics and morality. Multi cultural competence is necessary and effective skills which I have incorporated in my skill set to confidently deal with future assignments and career.
Conclusion
From the above all discussions it may be concluded that, the international business management of MNE’s are focusing upon the inclusion of national culture in the organizational environment to earn confidence from the domestic market for high opportunity of growth and success. Apart from that, skill development and professional relationships are necessary for business operations in foreign markets.
