Answer 2
The topic of this research is the “impact of the burden of non-communicable diseases in developing countries”. Non-communicable diseases have become a primary reason for death and increasing healthcare burden within developing countries. In addition, the implementation of rapid urbanisation within the developing countries have resulted in reducing focus on healthy diet and increasing the health risks of non-communicable diseases . Also, as there has been an “increase in the life expectancy of developing countries” there has been a huge increase of “non communicable diseases” or NCDs such as diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. For instance, about 17 million people die from NCDs within the lower and middle income countries all across the globe per year (WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION, 2023). As a result, the rise in NCDs can also cause an increased demand for health care services leading to a loss of physical capital of a country impacting the economy.
The NCDs that are mostly created concern for the health of the individuals within the developing countries includes diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease (CVD) and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). However, apart from all other diseases breast cancer as a non communicable disease involves growth of abnormal cells in the form of tumours. During the year 2020 as a non communicable disease breast cancer has been impacting about 2.3 million women causing 685000 deaths in the global context (WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION, 2023). Therefore, this research will be specifically conducted in understanding the impact of the non communicable disease such as breast cancer in developing countries along with its prevention measures in its mitigation purpose.
