1.0 Introduction

The study concerns three cases where case one deals with “Project Selection at Nova Western, Inc.” Case two concerns “Project Management at Dotcom.com” and Case three about “The Building that Melted Cars Driving”. The study shows these three case studies help to understand the different scenarios of project management in the business. The study helps to understand project management functions in different companies in the given case studies.

Case 1Project Selection at Nova Western, Inc

1. Case one deal with contradiction parts in between two techniques where the company is struggling with revenue in the business. The firm’s vice president Phyllis Henry will reach two projects for the development of its business (Woźniak, 2021). On the other hand, the company belongs to application programs and business software development. She was convinced by both projects would benefit the company greatly but due to the budget restriction, she did not decide what project to choose. In addition, the first one is Project Janus and the other one is Project Gemini. After going through these two projects, Project Janus is helpful for the section of software development while Project Gemini is accessible for business applications (Pal, 2022). Now, Nova Western, Inc. has difficulty choosing between these two projects because both are essential for the improvement of capital revenues in the business operation. In addition, restriction of allocation of capital will not allow the company’s capital in both projects. On the other, two teams took the responsibility to help the firm select the best project for the corporation development in the business (Lalmi et al. 2021). Simultaneously, both two teams come to the solution in the first scenario to show which project will be beneficial by the selection Scoring model. Therefore, after examining both projects it seems to be that Project Geminin is quite more suitable than Project Janus for the business revenue elevation.

The above diagram shows the better option for the revenue capital increment of Nova Western, Inc is quite good in comparison to Project Janus due to the scoring factor, which is estimated for the operation of the business.

The diagram demonstrates that Project Janus is less effective in comparison to project Gemini just because of the scoring model factor in the function of the business.

In addition, the study shows the vice president told the company’s response team to come up with another selection of methods like NPV analysis for understanding the inflation rate, returns and capital evaluation of the firm (Copola Azenha et al. 2021). The study shows after examining the situation by this method Project Janus is suitable for the benefit factor in the business.

The above diagram shows the NPV method instead of Project Gemini, the other project Janus is advantageous for the revenues in the business operation (BO).

The study shows in this scenario Project Gemini is not much support for NPV analysis for the development process.

The scoring model technique particularly shows the strength factors such as strategic fit, “probability of technical success”, financial risk, potential profit and strategic advantage. On the other hand, these factors are adequately important for the development and earning good revenues.

The scoring model method has some weaknesses where the particular company only deals with the above-given factor in the Scoring model (Thesing et al. 2021). The model does not concern the raw material, supplier and stakeholder factors in the business activities or the weak material.

On the other hand, NPV analysis methods carry strength elements like initial investment, the life of the project and cash flow in that project. Consequently, it helps the company to perform well in the respected industry.

Simultaneously, NPV methods carry some weaknesses while implemented for the success of the operation. Such a company does not know the actual amount of investments, how long this project will be occurring and limitless cash flows (Mahdi et al. 2021). The study shows these only happen due to the staff’s evil intention of stealing purpose in the company.

2. Nova Western should choose Project Gemini because it gives flexibility in terms of the Scoring model during function the business. Simultaneously, it gives lease risk in the cash flow while choosing this project as per the Figure 5 detail

According to “Situational leadership theory” company leaders who introduce distinct leadership methods as per the circumstance and the growing class of their company portion should be leveled in the business (Gareeb and Rwelamila, 2021). The company will utilise this theory for the selection of effective projects as per the requirement in the present situation. Consequently, this theory suggests the company selected Project Gemini for the good earning of capital revenues.

Case 2: Project Management at Dotcom.com

1. The study shows that Dotcom.com is the development and software of a system engineering consulting company. The main motive of the firm is to sell a broad assortment of computer-based and Internet solutions for infrastructure of administrative, planning, and “accounting networks” to companies (Ofori et al. 2021). The firm will be concerned with the healthcare approach, hotel management, and financial services challenging vast issues for getting benefits in the company operates in the demand place. The firm is currently encountering issues like rapid technology enhancement, rising consumer demands, time limitations, restricted resources and disputes with the software and development system team in the business (Gobov and Huchenko, 2021). Therefore, the project management function is to mitigate the problems by managing the above issues by the involvement of skill and innovation in the project management operation.
2. After the introduction of a deservedly leader in the project of this company, the firm will hand over all its responsibility to its leader to resolve those matters so that the corporation runs its business. The leader will look at matters like practising to distribute compound aims to a simple one, while on the parallel thinking in the operation (Dinis et al. 2021). The leader should have an “active software development” website like E-commerce, Photo Sharing and Brochure and Catalogue. The SEO show how it target Traffic like Google, MSN, Bing and Yahoo (Cristaldo et al. 2022). Therefore, the company will utilise all existing resources, which are mentioned in this section so that the firm will meet the potential customer. Consequently, it will lead the firm to achieve its target in the market in comparison to other businesses such as Accenture, Atos Consulting, Delta Capita and OC&C Strategy Consultants. Dotcom.com will perform all necessary steps for the development in the operation of this industry (Schlichter and Buchynska, 2021). On the other hand, utilisation of Social Media such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and various platforms to target respective Software markets in the business.
3. The company has the awareness of the reasonable factors which are essential for the equally crucial requirement to stop project range to complete the project” in a specific time trend. On the other hand, the firm will focus on the factors like planning class, the feasibility of examination level, prototyping and structure level, software examining stage and integration and implantation (Alsaber et al. 2021). It will lead the company to execute its approach so that the firm will earn a good amount of benefit in the business. On the other hand, it will help the firm to adopt the latest and most innovative kind of trends of business to run its business for long-term business. Consequently, it will lead the corporation to come up with the sustainable suits of the platform, which is convenient for the customer’s satisfaction in the business.
4. The study demonstrates that “Configuration management” and “project change control” are hard to execute in the midsection of compound software assignment for respective issues in the business operation (Gemino et al. 2021). On the other hand, this “Project change control” may be hard because compound configuration can need the growth of various elements that should be tested in the business operation. Therefore, Dotcom.com will effectively work on the case of “Configuration management” and “project change control” in business function to achieve a good amount of profit

Case 3: The Building that   Melted Cars

1. The study shows that the “unique building at 20 Fenchurch Street” is generally named by its other name “The Walkie Talkie” just because of its unique structure, which is pronounced as walkie-talkie (Shepherd et al. 2021). On the other hand, the particular tower was suggested to be close to “200 m (656 ft)”enough tall but the structure configuration was measured down. Afterwards, it dealt with its respective visual influence on the “nearby” Tower of London and St Paul’s Cathedral. The main reason it was named “the Walkie-Talkie” is due to its distinctive configuration, and structures to elevate “floor space” at the greater stages. 2. The study shows in “July, the U.K.’s Daily Telegraph” stated that the construction was making a kind of “wind tunnel” that particularly “blew down”. Consequently, it will lead the construction company to show shop symbols and sweep several “pedestrians off” their feet matter in the business. On the other hand, In 2013, the setting of the building is about a “south-facing wall” which is particularly reflected in the factor of sunlight. The study shows the involvement of various factors such as the streets below, melting a car’s bodywork and not providing parking with a lot for the public (Badi et al. 2021). Therefore, it will lead companies to get negative feedback from the construction expert in the business. It is suggested the building owners should focus on the business of implementation of the construction equipment such as “Data Collection Apps”, “Building Information Modelling (BIM)”, “Virtual Reality and Wearables” and Artificial Intelligence (Biswas et al. 2021). The study shows with the support of these advanced tools in the construction building the respected firm plans and constructs an ecological and safe building for its customers. It is observed that most of the companies in the construction industries in the UK are accessible enough for business operation. On the other hand, “The Walkie Talkie” building saved its reputation to execute its performance in the construction industry. Consequently, it will lead the company to earn respective fame and profit in the business.
3. The study shows the structure of the building is adequately impressive in the business operation. It is seen that the building is quite stunning in the construction in the UK region in comparison to other rival construction companies such as Balfour Beatty, Kier Group, Morgan Sindall and Galliford Try. The study shows how the company will transform its business in the construction industry in the UK. The Walkie Talkie building is quite attractive in the operation of the UK in the business function in the UK market (Shibani et al. 2021). On the other hand, this helps to understand if the construction company wants to perform well in the business of construction then it has to work as per the demands of the customer. Therefore, the company will particularly focus on the initiative method in the business in the UK region.

3.0 Conclusion

The study describes the project management function of the different companies in the case study and it can be concluded as in the first case related to “Project Selection at Nova Western, Inc.” and its position in the respected industry found. The study shows the second case study about “Project Management at Dotcom.com” and the situation in the software and development industry. The third case is about “The Building that   Melted Cars” and how the construction site has reduced its issues by the implementation of an initiative method.
