Introduction
Covid-19 has been a difficult period for every organisation and industry. As per the business aspect it has been seen there are various businesses which have developed and increased their growth within the period of covid-19 and some existing businesses were facing various types of difficulties and challenges for operating the business. Domino’s is a giant in the Fast Food Industry. Dominos have a high brand image and reputation among the people. The company has faced great opportunities within the period of covid-19. This project will enlist the challenges and difficulties which were faced by Domino’s company in the era of covid-19. Some of the major opportunities which the company seeks are also listed. The company’s life cycle and Strategies for growth which were obtained to increase the profit and business within this pandemic situation are also listed below in the report.

During covid-19 it was essential for the countries to ensure the proper safety measures and precautions to lessen the impact of coranavirus on the citizens. One of the major precautions opted was to maintain social distance. Domino’s is considered one of the great giants in the Fast Food Industry. There are numerous countries in which dominos is operating currently. Still, some developed countries like the UK and US have a great contribution to sales and profit earned by them. There many challenges faced by the company to tackle the situation of covid-19 in the year 2020 (Hwang and Kim, 2021). As per the guidelines of the government within the US, it was mentioned that it is very essential to maintain social distancing. Many states within us are facing a period of lockdown. Most of the industries such as food and retailers were facing many issues; the life closure of various tourist places led to the sales and revenue earned by the company.
Physical stores in which customers would enjoy the surroundings of Domino’s work closed during the period of covid-19 it had a major impact on the reputation and image of the company. In Marchsales examined of Dominos within US degraded 0.32 percent to net margin. However, as per the comparison of later periods in January and February, they were having a nice increment approx 3 to 4% within the sales. It has been noticed that Domino’s have their digital platform which is used by the customer to have digital order and food delivery at the door house (Kramer, 2020). Still, some challenges were faced by the company which have degraded the sails. One of the major challenges which were faced by the company is to pay equal salary and wages to the workers and even employees who were working in the situation of crisis. Many governments of different regions including us state that the people who are working within the company and have a verified profile must be paid accurately and properly in the period of this situation. After having a degrade over the sales it was hard for the company to give the proper pay scale to each employee.

As per the statement of the CEO, it was mentioned that covid-19 was one of the major opportunities. The sales of Dominos have arisen within the middle period of covid-19 (Henderson, 2020). As per their digital platform, the orders which were gathered by the company were higher as compared to the supply given to them. Most of the stores were having a cloud Kitchen in which only preparation of food was done. Customers were not allowed to stay within the stores which were owned by Dominoes (Montalvo and Reynal-Querol, 2020). The food was given to the customer only by the delivery. Dominos took a loan of 150 million to satisfy their workers by giving them an appropriate salary due to the less sales and income. The financial strength of the company gave them a great rise in which the preparation of food was smoothened by having the appropriate and sufficient amount of raw material.
Changes within the company
As per the period of covid-19, many changes were examined by the other entrepreneurs within the operations and business model of Dominoes. Earlier the revenue which was collected by the sales word invested over the physical restaurant and space occupied by the Dominos. But in the situation of covid-19, the money was used to buy the raw material for the cheaper price (Sufi and Ahmed, 2021). It is considered that foreign material is by a huge amount cheaper as compared to the little amount which is required by a store. It was essential for the company to satisfy the demand of customers as other Food Industry companies such as McDonald’s were giving chargeable delivery as Dominos was one of the cheapest options available for the customers.
There was much compensation and you know what it was given to the delivery department to encourage their effort during the period of covid-19. The proper check-up and precautions which were given by the government were analysed. The temperature and sanitization were used properly by the delivery department. One of the major changes which were seen within the operation of Domino’s is their business model (Dung, 2020). Earlier business models may include the operations which were held within the store such as their Customer services and other services are given to the people who were within the surroundings of Dominos outlet. In the emergence of covid-19 the restaurant which was owned by Dominos were properly shut down during the lockdown period. There in has their delivery process by investing and requested more employees who had been to work within this crisis. This was a major advantage that was grabbed by Dominos as no other company such as Pizza Hut and LaSpinoza pizza one not giving this kind of advantage and benefit to the customers. The supply chain of food which was owned by Domino such as buying raw material from suppliers and preparing the food was enhanced. As per the statement and record, some of the suppliers increase their prizes which were given to the company (Comite, 2020). They negotiate the amount of raw material as the need of supplying the pizza was higher as compared to the demand which was coming from customer. Most of the customer volume to book their fast food these areas compared to any other item. Dominos is considered as one of the stabilized companies owning a great platform that is digital and has the customer to experience comfort
Domino’s started giving the live tracking opportunity for the customers to track their order. There were some issues which were considered by the customer such as late delivery regarding the product (Hinderson, 2020). In the US Country, many customers review that the pizza which was big but the company were not appropriate for their quality. The higher authority of the company stated that it is very essential to neutralize the demand and supply which is gathered by the company (Fahlevi, 2020). To satisfy the demands, it can be a compromise of giving a high quality still they considered that the quality which was given by the company was not that much bad as many customers have stated that they received perfect order. The tracking system of the delivery department was enhanced by the company by investing more in technology. It was very essential for the company to track the exact location of customers. It has the company to minimise the distance and to provide better communication between the delivery department and customer (Rautela and Agrawal, 2020). The revenue which was saved as per the store consumption was given to the employees who were working at the previous stage before covid-19.
The company experienced the opportunity and advantage was given by the brand image. The repetition and brand value of Domino’s is higher as compared to various pizza delivery companies. It was a major advantage within the Quarantine period as people were more concerned to place their order to Dominos as per their high quality.
Growth strategy and Life cycle
As per the growth strategy which was obtained by Domino’s company was the six major motives were accomplished properly within the time of covid-19. The ten major motives were obtained by Domino’s may include production of food properly. Within the time of crisis, it was essential for Domino’s to enhance its production value. They invest over to recruit more employees which were lean to make the desired taste and pizza within the time. The second motive was regarding delivery in which a proper technical platform which is owned by Dominos such as their website was installed (Jones and Comfort, 2020). It is half the company to take the appropriate information and payment of customers. The delivery departments stated that it was a major challenge when some people unintentionally booked the food over cash on delivery feature at the other addresses that were not willing to pay for the price. In the covid-19 period, Dominos stated that they will only acquire payment more than online despite the cash on the delivery procedure. It has to give an accurate and trustable conversation had with the employees and customer to book the order.
One of the major reasons for the increased growth of Domino’s is there franchise power. The outlets in different regions are owned by another individual who has purchased the franchise of Domino’s work giving a good share to the company (Ba Mohamed, 2020). This franchise was given to the region which was having less competition and a more repeatable image of the company. In covid-19 period jeans pant into the outlet for producing food despite arranging the sitting requirement of customers. There was a lack of expenditure which was to give them for the rounding and platform. The revenge was found by the share of French eyes easy enough to stable the challenge which was examined during the period of covid-19. It is considered to have a great site over the competition. Some of the major rivals such as Pizza Hut and la Spinoza had a great loss within the period of covid-19 which was a great advantage taken by the Dominos to enhance their reputation and brand value. In the food industry, there are very fewer joints that are engaged within the pizza product (Surbhi and Kumar, 2021). Dominos is considered to be the greatest as they have their technical platform which helps the people to experience the benefits by lessening their comfort. Many of the promos and various awards were given to the customer to encourage their purchasing power.
The life cycle of companies considered to the proper supply chain. This life cycle states various concepts such as revenue Sales Production supply and demand of the company. The demand which was considered within the period of covid-19 was a little bit higher in comparison with the supply (Surbhi and Kumar, 2021). However, Dominos stable their supply by increasing the food production and delivery forces which were engaged to satisfy the customer need and requirement.
Conclusion
The covid-19 period was very challenging for various companies within the food industry. Some of these companies started digitizing websites and operations. Dominos was having a well-enhanced website and digital platform to engage the customers. The investment which was done by the company in the decades now essential and effective for increasing sales. There are various challenges which were faced by Domino’s companies such as their high demand of customer less food production and closure of outlets.Still the disturbance that gives various opportunities to increase their sales. The life cycle of Domino’s depends on their production and delivery process which was effectively in the Hands of the higher authority of the company. Domino’s experienced a great price in the covid-19 period but in the beginning, it was difficult to pay the appropriate salary and amount to the Employees and workers who were not even working in their surroundings.
