Along with this, it is also known as conflict resolution that involves all the things which are related to identifying conflict at the time of managing a team and resolving it in the proper manner.

If the manager does not identify the conflict, then they also have to face higher difficulty at the time of completing the task of handling their employees as they will not feel comfortable with the person who has caused conflict to them. Conflict can also result in destroying the growth and success of the organization by diminishing productivity along with damaging staff morale.

The case study is having been identified for evaluating the conflict within the team it requires a lot of time, expertise and resource along with producing insufficiently nuanced results. Evaluation of the conflict can be done on the basis of checking and measuring the performance of the employees along with their attitude and behaviour within the other employees who are present in the same team. Further, Jamie can use strategy at the time of evaluating the conflicts that are Thomas kilmann Conflict mode instrument which is also known as TKI. The strategy is comprised of five major conflict management styles that are competing, accommodating, collaborating, compromising and avoiding.

Collaborating style: It is the type of style Which Is the combination of cooperative and assertive which perform the main role of collaborating or working with others to identify the solution which can be helpful at the time of satisfying everyone concerns present in the team (Bell et. al. 2018). It can be used by Jamie at the time of fulfilling the feelings of the team members by minimizing negative feelings as collaborating work will result in having a long term relationship and good outcomes.

Competing style: This style is mainly related to pursuing one on concern on the basis of another person expense. Mainly this cannot be used by Jamie because it will lead towards not creating a good relationship with a team member.

Avoiding style: It is the other type of style in which the individual or team leader tries to avoid all the conflicts that are mainly based upon uncooperative or assertive. It is mainly used by them at the time when they can postpone dealing and have not cared about any type of outcomes or ethics of using Face Time on the job.

Accommodating style: In this style, the member of the team sacrifices his own accommodation to satisfy the need of the other person who is present in the same team (Sonoda et. al. 2018).  It will help them at the time of building good relationships.

Compromising style: The main aim of this style is to identify all the solutions that can be easily agreed upon by the people at the time of managing the conflict or maintaining cooperativeness and assertiveness.

Identifying and discussing

In this case, it has been identified that there are different types of problems, issues, challenges and other things that are faced by the members who are working in the team. It was because of their leader Jamie who was not keeping them informed about the task along with delegating interesting work. The issue that was analysed in the case was that he was not praising the employees for their hard work at the time of achieving the goals and objectives of the organization in the proper manner (Sanyal and Hisam, 2018).

Along with this, they were also facing high challenges at the time of completing the task as they do not have any information regarding the things they have to do in the project and others. For solving all these challenges and issues that are faced by the team members they have directly contacted the manager of Jamie regarding the things they are facing. After listening to all the issues regarding the team member the manager had decided to send him on our management development course that was conducted by the organization. However, attending the course the manager of Jamie was very happy because no team member was complaining again and all the issues were sought in the proper manner.

Recommendation for managing conflict

On the basis of the case study and our discussion, it has been recommended that Jamie can use different types of ways at the time of managing conflict between the employees (Lacerenza et. al. 2018).

It is the duty of Jamie to be a creative person so that he can easily identify all the conflicts that are seen within the team and think of good solutions for the problems that will help him at the time of satisfying people. The solution must be based upon creativity and hard work which satisfy all the members of the team. They do not have to think for the solution that will simply avoid conflict or can result in maintaining harmony but they have to choose the best one so that in the future they can use it again at the time of facing the same conflict.

At the time of managing conflict, they must be very confident to encourage the team members so that they can deal directly with the people who have conflict in the team.  If they will avoid the conflict, then they also have to face higher difficulty at the time of completing the task. It has been seen in the case that Jimmy was not dead coordinating with team members in the proper manner which has resulted in creating a conflict at the time of completing the task because they do not have full information about the project (Driskell et. al. 2018). On the other hand, they can also manage the conflict that is faced by rumours then it is the duty of Jamie to encourage their team members to work out of the plan so that they can easily end the gossip which is creating a conflict among the team members.

The conflict can be also managed in the proper manner by solving the interpersonal conflict by talking about the interests of each other at the time of performing the task. If the employees share the interest with the team, then all the team members can together come up with a solution that will result in satisfying the needs and interests. If Jamie Will use this method then they can easily manage the conflict along with this it will also help him at the time of building good relationships with the team members.
