Introduction
This report is based on identifying the importance of the questionnaire survey method while designing and developing results. Examining the essence of the questionnaire survey it has been noticed that it helps the researcher in analysing the gathered information of the respondents so that better results can be generated for the research study. Furthermore, gathering pieces of evidence in regards to the importance of the questionnaire survey it has been noticed that it enables the observer in examining a large sample size for the population for a relatively low cost. This research study will be gathering responses from the respondents in regard to designing and expanding the gym to increase customer satisfaction in order to earn revenue and retain the loyalties of the customers towards the organisation.
Questionnaire Survey Method
A questionnaire survey has been referred to as the process which comprises of a set of questions which are being carried upon the customers in order to gather their responses and using them for the purpose of determining results (Brace, 2018). There are different types of survey process which makes it possible for the researcher to carry out their survey in a unified manner. There are two types of data gathering process that includes primary and secondary data based upon which all the data are being gathered and are utilised for the purpose of determining results. Qualitative data information is mainly being gathered from books, journal articles, and reliable internet sources, thematic analysis is being carried out for the purpose of carrying out the qualitative research method. Themes and codes are being developed from the literature review section by the observer in order to carry out the process in an enhanced quality (Vaismoradi, et al., 2016). Whereas, data of quantitative analysis are being gathered from questionnaire and interview process which is being carried upon on the customers, employees, and managers of the organisation. Determining, the effectiveness of the questionnaire survey process it has been noticed that it executes fast results that make it easier for the researcher in analysing the data in a best accountable manner. The data and responses that are being gathered from the respondents are also used for the purpose of maintaining validity and reliability in the research study. Examining the importance of a questionnaire on the research critical information has also been gathered that includes maintaining comparability and standardisation within the study procedures that benefit the researcher in maintaining the high quality of data consistency (Krosnick, 2018). Gathering quantitative data is also inexpensive and cost-effective because the designed questionnaire is being sent out from E-mail and websites through which the responses of the respondents are being gathered. Another benefit that questionnaire survey possess includes of a practical way of data gathering, both open-ended and close-ended questions are being used for the purpose of designing questionnaire which benefits the observer in gathering a vast amount of data to make the study successful.
This study is based upon spending money on renovating the gym for the purpose of increasing customer satisfaction for earning long-run success. Henceforth, the management of the gym has taken up the decision of undertaking a questionnaire survey on the customers. Most of the questionnaire questions were based upon determining the customer satisfaction of the employees due to the renovation and expenditure on the gym (Brace, 2018). The initial question of the questionnaire was aimed towards understanding the age group of people who prefer to join gym classes. Determination of the age group helps the organisation in installing gym equipments and designing services based on their acceptance. Moreover, the gender of the participants was also been identified in order to identify if both females and males are equally interested in joining gym classes to grow their physic and health. The initial questions in the survey questionnaire were focused on gathering the personal details of the employees so that the pieces of information can be gathered for future references. Customers were also asked whether they regularly attend gym classes, the justification for this question is that it helps the observer in understanding if the renovation and the expenditure that they are making will help the gym management in growing their subscription (Beatty, et al., 2019).
Furthermore, appropriate justification has been provided by the observer in regards to undertaking the questionnaire that includes gathering the responses of the respondents in regards to designing and including services that help in attracting the people towards the fitness center. Customers were being provided with the option of whether they would like to see improvements in the quality of the gym, adding varieties of ranges in the gym classes and designing best in class customer services so that the attractiveness of the customers can be developed towards the gym classes. Customers were also asked to give their feedback on which gym operations they would like to see improvements which include renovating the gym, adding extra types of equipment in the gym along with hiring new staff members (Oosterveld, et al., 2019). Based on the gathered information from the respondents it has been examined that the organisation of gym is looking forward to spending huge amount of money behind the renovation of the gym so that they can attract a large number of customers towards their center so that their brand status and revenue earning opportunities can be developed. During the survey questionnaire, all the respondents were also asked about what additional services they would like to see in the gym classes. Training classes and fitness tracking software were being identified as the two most prominent factors that attract the customers towards the gym center. Therefore, the gathered information from the respondents helped the observer in carrying out the research study in an effective manner.
Conclusion
The research study is based on designing a survey questionnaire based on the increasing customer satisfaction of the people in the gym. The two different types of surveys are qualitative as well as quantitative data techniques. The gathered data from the respondents helped the observer in identifying the acceptance level of customers towards the services that they are planning to invest in the gym center. The questionnaire that has been designed was for the purpose of gathering the responses of the respondents in order to understand their acceptance towards the gym facilities.
