The leaders of Tesco focus on the technology to increase the efficiency of the entire management system. Technological leadership has helped Tesco to be one step ahead of the rival companies on behalf of production and fulfilment of demand. The role of leaders is very much effective at the time of several changes in the entire management systems in Tesco, they should motivate all employees of a particular company to finish their allocated task in a positive way.  Some recommendations can be fabricated on the changes of management and leadership systems.

  • Technology leadership system is essential to be aligned with the latest changes of the modern market. The changes in management require clear objectives which are simple to cope up and motivate all the employees of the company (Bäcklander 2019). The positive impacts of technological leadership will be continued for future development but the negative aspects of this leadership style have to be diminished as soon as possible to keep alignment in the modern business market. As the technology is essential to manage the new changes based on technical issues will be easily applicable for the purpose of development of the management as well as the company.
  • The major negative effect of this leadership style is that the benefits of technology make the leaders more technology oriented and they are not willing to pay attention to innovation. Due to lack of innovation the entire system remains monotonous and undeveloped with respect to the modern market improvement. It can be recommended that the leaders of Tesco should also keep an eye on innovation related to the management system in order to enhance the effectiveness of the company. Based on the collaboration of technology and innovation the entire management system will be more developed with respect to rival companies. This initiation will easily develop new leadership skills to operate the entire management system efficiently for future development.
  • Performance management in leadership systems is an essential factor that is required to be aligned with the new changes of the modern competitive market. The positive impacts of technological leadership will be continued for future development however, the negative aspects of this leadership style have to be diminished as soon as possible to keep alignment in the modern business market. As the performance management is able to assist the leader to examine the performance of the all employees on a regular basis, this method will be continued for future help on the purpose of development related to entire management systems.
  • The major negative aspect of performance management, that it consumes a lot of time and for that reason the effectiveness of management becomes low. The process is not made unbiasedly as the leaders pick out the employees who will be promoted for higher positions, the process should be unbiased (Matthysen and Harris 2018). It will have a bad impact on the leadership system, which reduces the effectiveness of the entire company. Although performance management is beneficial for the entire management system; by reducing the limitation it will be more beneficial for the management systems with respect to the change in leadership method.

The transactional leadership process is mainly focused on the give and take process, the leader provides tasks and the employees work based on the given task. The leaders offer rewards and punishments based on the performance of the employees. To achieve good reward the employees, work by providing their best and to be picked up for promotion in the next stage (Putra et al. 2020). On the other hand, less efficiency of the work is bound to face the employee’s punishment. The leadership style not only helps the leaders to get productive tasks from the employees but also increases the effectiveness of every worker who gives their best to achieve the reward. However, the leadership style is unable to construct good relations with the workers and leaders, this method is totally focused on give and take policy. Several times it is a tough task for the leaders to motivate the employees after providing the rewards.
