Highway England is an organization that operates and maintains road networks and highways in the UK by building up highway networks with development of sustainable and Eco-friendly materials. However, this organization faced issues in its strategic problem in the maintenance of the UK’s roads and its infrastructure networks.
- Structural damage to an organization: Biggest issue faced by Highway England is maintenance of ongoing road and infrastructure networks. This increases the damage to the company’s reputation. Therefore, 40% of the local road network, which is infrastructure by Highway England classed as “Red” by Asphalt Industry Association (AIA). Therefore, strategic issues of Highways England have been seen in this organization that increase deterioration of the company’s reputation with structural damage in local networks (Highways, 2023). However, it has also been seen that the development of uneven ground and leaked concrete joints are the main issues caused due to these strategic issues caused by this organization that may have an impact on the reputation of a company.
- Increased maintenance cost: It has also been seen the organization is also facing issues due to increased strategic maintenance costs for the organization. It has been seen that Highway England faced issues associated with safety measurements and tools that are needed for safety of local and highway roads. Safety measurements by this construction company needed to be repaired, that resist accidents and long-term durability (Jerrim, 2021). Therefore, it has been due to these course issues organizations with a lack of sustainability.
- Daily operation delay in an organization: It has been seen that Highway England has also been facing issues of operation delay in an organization. Structural damage is increased rapidly in this organization with development of operation delay in the organization that leads to development of reduced infrastructure of organization. Therefore, it has been seen from the organizational report that this organization faced issues with their operation management that needed to increase target solutions to mitigate these issues.
- Losing of Public Trust: This organization gradually loses the trust of the public with the development of issues associated with this organization. A common issue increases in organizations due to widespread issues in their infrastructure system.
- Rapid employee reduction: Highway England companies also face issues of highest employee turnover in organization. It has been seen as the biggest challenge faced by this company and they require almost 2250 workers immediately to mitigate these issues of employee management in their organization. It has been seen that companies have faced losses thus, payment to employees is also seen to be disrupted (Rayment-Jones et al. 2021). This increases issues of employee turnover in the organization.

Leadership is an integrated part to develop in the organization for maintaining discipline and a culture of work in an organization. Therefore, the leadership styles and communication strategy of an organization are a part that needs to be analyzed in an organization. Accountable leadership styles have been defined as clearance of communication goals with development of team focus (Schwarz et al. 2020). Leadership traits that are followed by Highway England in their leadership traits to increase team performance of organization
Safety
This company in their leadership style focuses on the safety of customers and this has been seen as the core value of this organization. This helps to increase imperative value of company with promotion of employee protection from organization
Passion
In Highway England, the company has shed lights on development of commitment and enthusiasm in organization. Therefore, it has been seen that this company provides value and care for their employees in the organization. It helps employees to work efficiently in this organization with development of customers and relishing their demands in the organization (Ergonomics.org.uk, 2023). However, strategic issues increasing in this organization leads to development of customer loss and deterioration of employee engagement.
Ownership
This is also a feature of accountable leadership that helps to increase a sense of authorization. Highway England is a construction company that develops a widespread network to develop communication strategy with stakeholders to manage a wide level communication in organization. Bradford council of the UK has recognized the communication strategy followed by Highway England is an effective communication strategy for growth and development of this organization (Bradford, 2023). The aim of this communication is to develop guidance and provision of effective highway services that also helps to raise awareness of public issues and challenges in organization. Four types of communication strategy have been followed by this organization that helps to develop effective communication with stakeholders.

- Annual planned maintenance programmers

It helps to increase the development of communication with stakeholders with engagement development to meet the needs of the community to develop growth and development features of this organization. Thus, it has been seen that an increase of communication with stakeholders helps them to be obliged with the need of high maintenance and growth of stakeholders. On the other hand, communication is also focused to develop Highway Asset Management Guidance to increase effective communication that increases the growth and effectiveness of the organization (Publishing.service.gov.uk, 2023). Additionally, it has also been seen they have increased the development of customer feedback that helps to increase and enemies high management services for the organization.
It has also been seen to increase employee engagement in the organization for development of stakeholder and government engagement in the organization.
- Three recommendations for improving organization performance
Operation management by increasing organizational transparency
Highway England has to increase development of operation management to increase consistency and efficiencies of work in organization with development of chronological and management of operation in an organization, it has been seen regulatory complexity is too often in the organization that increasing barriers leads to loss of productivity in an organization. This led to a delay of the delivery of a local network of roads needing more than 150 days, whereas it can be reduced within 50 to 75 days (Hendrikz & Engelbrecht, 2019). Then this company is recommended to increase transparency of work in the organization and they should take help from the government. Government should help to reshape regulatory environments that have threats of operation delay with the smoothness of operative work. On the other hand, this can stream performances with disruption of corruption.
Rewiring of a contractual framework for integrated design
Integrated Product Delivery (IPD) is helpful for this organization that helps to increase collaboration within the company. On the other hand, integrated design methodology has also increased to develop employee engagement for organizations.
Improvement of supply chain management
Fragmentation in the supply chain in a construction company has increased delivery time with the development of poor performance in organizations that are also faced by this organization as well (Ashford et al. 2021). Therefore, the supply chain management of this company should focus on the development of the tendering process along with teaching subset system development in the organization.

- Phases of entrepreneurial practice from a new business venture to delivery
Highway England is a project that helps to increase road construction and maintain the network of roads through working condition development of an organization. However, the company has planned their business with development of delivery in a short time. Planning of new construction of roads and development of road networks has been seen to increase the need for highway project management (Ren & Jiang, 2021). The new business venture of the company has to mitigate all the glitches of traditional methods of repairing. In new ventures, also the company has increased stricture-repainting material that is traditional with development of issues in new business ventures. However, they have addressed different ideas that are needed to consider during the tin\me of planning. Thus, it has been seen from these strategies that new venture access to transportation and mobility is needed to increase in new business ventures. Therefore, the company has considered some factors that need to increase efficiency of planning before construction of a project (Nemati et al. 2019). Developmental pressure, physical design, number of re-examination as well as location is some of these essential factors that need to be developed during the planning.
On the other hand, design challenges faced by this company are associated with development of design. In this respect companies have faced issues with safety. Cost. Environmental quality, and multimodal construction of the work. Therefore, it has been seen new business ventures been after considering new business ideas face issues that helps to increase development of issues in Highway England project. However, organizations develop further finding that need to develop with the development character of the final design implementation of the product. The expectancy of final design has been seen to increase with development of complexity of project (Wheat et al. 2019). This led to mitigation of work with development of configuration issues with construction projects. However, the company also faces rivalry issues with the organization that lead to growth of organization complexity issues in organization.

Highway England is a construction company that leads the manufacturing and managing infrastructure of road networks in local and national highways with the development of an eco-friendly highway network for increasing sustainability. Therefore, it has been seen that production error is increased as a severe problem of this company with development of infrastructure maintenance issues (Williams et al. 2019). On the other hand, extreme cost and traditional method of repairing also has been seen as a significant problem in highway England projects. On the other hand, this seems to increase development of customer deterioration and increments of production loss along with loss of profits also.
Idea
Highway England has set an idea of new venture development of business that helps to mitigate these problems and reduces structural issues in organization. On the other hand, they even in new ventures have also followed the traditional process of repair that is not able to meet issues faced by this organization (Ireland & Korn, 2021). However, business ideas set up by the Highway England project face issues of design challenges due to innovative design needs to cost more that beyond the operation capital of this organization.
Experiments
Organization experiments with extensive communication strategies with customers to regain their lost reputation through development of this communication. Highway England has done experiments with development of time management in projects with effective communication with stakeholders (Ashford et al. 2021). Therefore, it has been seen organizations have faced issues for development of stakeholder engagement.

Solution of risk assessment with development mitigation strategies and impacts of these issues on the organization has been tabulated to develop new and improved strategies for organization development. Highway England has effectively managed their communication with the development of different communication strategies. In the new business idea venture it has been seen that organizations have provided safety, passion, protection, and feedback to employees of the organization. It has also been seen that traits and characteristics of this business are to develop stakeholder engagement for the growth and development of an organization. Thus, it has been this company that has believed in open business traits to develop a healthier relationship with others. On the other hand, this has also seen this company fostering development features with issues among the employees to reduce the work of organizing action. It has also seen business traits of Highway England focused on the development of integrity with increasing a competitive work environment (Merriman, 2019). On the contrary, there has also been increased development of diversity among highway England for development of equity and inclusion are necessary for reducing structural issues. Moreover, the organization has focused on the development of profitable production with development of business management strategies that need to be developed in an organization as well. Moreover, these business traits focus also on teamwork with the development of beneficial growth in the organization.

Highways England has an aim and ambition to ensure major roads in the UK should be more durable, more dependable, and most importantly should be safe. The business idea of Highway England works hard to increase the addictiveness of the organization, reduce the frequency of delays, and increase smooth journeys in the organization. On the other hand, it has also been seen that companies have business ideas to develop a Strategic road network to connect about 4300 miles away. This strategic business idea should develop completion of these business ideas within 2025 to represent a long way in connecting network development in the organization (Chatterjee et al. 2023). On the other hand, it has also been seen as the work that led to the development of the government’s second-largest Road Investment Strategies (RIS2) for balancing careful performances to maintain SRN network development. Moreover, this business idea organization provides a delivery plan from 2020 to 2025 to increase specific funding in five years for complete development.
- Risks
Highway England is a company that faces risks in the development of profits, maintaining infrastructures, development of structural damage, and development of issues to compare my loss. Risks in this company are also associated with the development of deterioration of profits and increase of regulatory issues to reduce the transparency of organization. On the other hand, it has also been seen risks in safety measures and measurements of accidental issues are risks associated with the Highway England Company. It has been seen that organization is also increasing due to the traditional repair system that has been presented in the organization. Additionally, loss of customer trust with poor management has also been seen as a loss of customers and rapid loss of employees has been seen as a significant risk in Thai organizations.
- Strategy to mitigate risks
Organizations have increased strategies that help to increase new business ventures with the development of effective communication with the entire stakeholder system of the organization. It has been seen that organizations face issues with extreme cost, therefore, a cost minimization strategy has also been adopted through this company that needs to develop in this organization for developing the extra potential of the organization. On the other hand, companies also focus on the development of time management and operation management strategy (Somers, 2022). Organization has also developed some strategies that help to increase transparency and reduce the action of regulatory complexity for growth and development in the Highway England organization. It has also been seen that strategies of modern design have also been included in this company.
- Business traits characteristics
Business trait of this organization is to increase safety, passion, integrity, and communication with extraordinary services for road network infrastructure development. On the other hand, it has also been seen that diversity is also one of the business traits that has been seen to include diversity and development of equity in organizations. Thus, the organization has increased different features of organizational development to maintain integrity and foster teamwork with growth and development of the construction industry (Ram et al. 2022). Moreover, open communication and obtaining customer feedback for new idea generation and growth of organization has been seen as a feature to develop business traits of this organization

Highway England is a company that is always fostering growth, however, the issues associated with development of strategic characteristics features in the organization. It helps to increase a personal and professional reflection that helps to increase understanding factors that should be implemented in a construction company.
What
High England Company is a growing construction company in the UK that develops motor roadway networks for local and national highway networks in the UK. However, from the report I have seen that this company is facing issues of growth and difficulty with development of structural damage issues in the organization. I have seen development of customer loss, employee’s loss, and loss of profitability is also associated with this company. Thus, the situation of this company as per Rolfe model is growing in the state of organizational deterioration and therefore, it has the growth of this company affected by this disorder. On the other hand, this company also is growing to the state of supply chain issues (Clifford & Ferm, 2021). Supply chain issues of the organization have been affected in a way that the organization faced decrease in customer, productivity, and profitability in organization. Therefore, it has been seen company have faced strategic and supply chain management issues
So what
This report based on Highway England helped me to understand the transparency and regulatory complexities of work. Thus, I have learnt from this report that organizations should have transparency to develop smooth and consistent work in organization. On the other hand, change management is also an issue developed in this organization that leads to development of complexity and structural damage issues in this organization. From this point of view, I have learnt that development of change management is necessary competing with change management adopted by rival companies to obtain the nature of business growth. On the contrary, I have also learnt that there are some issues in management that lead to loss of employees in the organization. Thus, Highway England has recommended strategies to increase effectiveness of communication for development of confidentiality operation management and gain a competitive environment for growth and development of organization.
Now what
From the explanation of this case study it has been seen that organizations face issues that are detrimental in the case of developing rivalry features for this company. Thus, it has been seen for future outcomes this organization should take or incorporate modern methods or organizational development, which need to increase development of organizational features for development of issues and goals in the organization (Conner et al. 2023). This construction project helps to increase future development of to increase analysis for developing features profitability and growth of the construction industry.
