Discussion over the Mental Health/ AOD legislation
According to the case description, it is seen that mental disorder is connected with the inequality throughout the life cycle. Though, mental disorders include different parameters or drivers like social effect, economic effect and physical effect but social inequalities activities are heavily associated with the issue of mental disorder. The research shows that higher national level of income inequality is closely related to the prevalence of mental illness. In this context, acts like the Mental Health Parity and addiction Equity Act are considered by the country to reduce such problems in society (Antunes et al., 2018). The effective adaptation of “United Nations Convention on ” the Rights of Persons regarding the disable persons are included as the legislation.
The consideration of the Mental Health Act (2014) represents the requirement of mental health treatment and it clearly states about the avoidance of inequalities in society. The inclusion of the Equality Act tries to represent the protection process of the mental illness in context of direct discrimination. The inclusion of the Equality Act considers the area like disability, age, gender reassignment, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion, belief, sex and marriage partnership related inequality problem.
Discussion of the role of government and policymaker
The roles and responsibilities considered by the Australian Government must include the effective promotional process of Mental health and the strategic approach of prevention in the context of mental disorder. On the other hand, the inclusion of access related to the basic mental health care activities must be considered here from the government side of the country. Furthermore, the consideration of the assessment in context of the correspondence related to the international acceptance approach must be included here. The provision of the restrictive least and equality related approach must be handled by the government. Government needs to implement effective regulation and legislation in the context of Child adversity and trauma, strained unemployed and economical unemployment, security of the economic approach and well housed areas of development in majority of the cultural inequalities (MUHAMMAD et al., 2020). The impact of the government initiative considers empowerment programs and the strategic resilience approach of the training process. On the other hand, the strategic inclusion of the peer support activities, screening program process and the effective prevention of the intervention activities can give strategic development of the society (Antunes et al., 2018). Government is able to consider Trauma based informed approaches to reduce the other issues of the organization. People of the country must get service from the clinical specialist care and support system from the suicide prevention process towards high-risk people of the society.
On the other hand, the tactics include giving affordable housing, public spaces and community participation to reduce inequality in society. The society can get effective reduction activities from the class sizes and the strategic regulations of the marketing towards the harmful industries. People can able to get the medical acre and support towards suicide crisis. Psychological development and the therapies must be considered here for children through which emotional literacy training and her effective empowerment program can be arranged by the government (Andrews,Arthur et al., 2019). Citizens of the country can get service related to effective school engagement and emotional literacy support. Therefore, it can be easily stated that the impact considers the area like better physical health towards people which is related to mental health. On the other hand, reduction of health damaging behavior can give huge support towards a healthy lifestyle. Furthermore, greater educational achievement can give effective development towards society. Therefore, higher income and improved productivity can give an effective solution towards society. Moreover, the approach can reduce mortality, and improve the function of the overall system. Less crime and reduction absenteeism are also impact of such regulation.
