Also, in-depth critical analysis will be undertaken on personal experience with use of reflective model as Gibbs’s reflective model.

Critical analysis of breadth of module.

Since childhood, my interest was to become Manager in any industrial sector. So, I decided to pursue MBA to professionally master the management skills. After MBA, I joined in ABC industry as inter for a period of 3 month. This internship helped to develop my professional career effectively. This opportunity helped me to find out the areas of improvement (Blocher and Sujo-Montes, 2019). During the first month we will be given intense training about industrial activity and way of conducting by giving small task. So, as per my experience I have developed fundamental skills with help of which business activities can be performed in well manner. Therefore, my experience of 4 week is outlined as-:

Week 1– During the first week of internship, I came to know about skills relates with mental wealth competencies like cultural intelligence, social & emotional intelligence, industrial connections, cognitive intelligence and about the use of digital proficiency. Hence, I must say that to conduct the job in professional manner such skills need to be learnt. Therefore, to get more career opportunities in firm like Infosys, MNC’s, this must to acquire knowledge about mastering mental wealth competencies. During the entire learning process, I got surprised about knowing that how our positive mental approach assists us to handle conflict situation in professional and personal life as well (Carloni and Franzè, 2021). This aids to create harmony to maintain work life balance. During the first task in my first week, I got the opportunity to work with a team of people. We were given task to build strategy on marketing activities on firm. With help of this task and working with people of different mind-set, I got chance to acquire abilities to learn, to remember and sort out the issues.

Week 2– During the second Week of Internship, I developed more knowledge about mental wealth competencies by understanding the skills in depth manner. In this week I got the opportunity to attend the meeting with our supplier industry with senior manager of department. I must say that was one of profound chance I got till yet. I have learnt three more skill during this week as Industry connections, physical intelligence and enterprise & entrepreneurship skill. This mental health capabilities will help me to build marketing strategies effectively by knowing about dealing with other industries and partners. This will help me to take active participation in my team by building professional knowledge, skills briefed by industry partners (Hendricks, 2017). During that meeting, I also came to know about cross communication skills and technique to use it in international firms. I have shared these all competencies with my team members. I am good in creative skill so I told by my manager to prepare presentation of this meeting and to elaborate it with my other team members.

Week 3– During the week 3, I have developed my mental wealth competencies about knowing significance of cultural intelligence at global level. I got the opportunity to undertake research and development on one of the business projects with diversified team members. In this week during conducting R&D, I came to know about creativity and capabilities of diversified workforce. Then I realised that if organisation works with diversified people, then they can able to work with more creative manner by bringing up different solution to task. I must say organisation should hire people irrespective of gender, age, ethnicity and sexuality. To work in Infosys people must master cultural intelligence capabilities so that they can deal with people professionally. In this week, I also enhanced my mental wealth capability with generating and applying ideas. This helps me to develop idea generation, problem solving, creativity and design thinking approach. These all skills assist to lead towards effective and efficient value creation.
Week 4– During the week 4, I have developed my mental wealth competencies to achieve a high level of understanding about their body and learning to influence people with how they think, behave and speak. Hence, senior team manager of our industry hold meeting for us to review their opinion about framed strategies on marketing project. I have noticed his aura in the meeting that was so professional and attractive. So, I came to know that physical intelligence is crucial to build high level of understanding about the mind, body and learning. At the time of conveying things, this is crucial to match body gesture. Also, they told us about the significance of digital proficiency in todays business environment. To run business activities professionally, this is crucial to adopt applications, software and services to stay up to date with today’s working environment (Denton, 2018).

 

In depth critical analysis with help of reflective model.

After internship, I got hired in a MNC’s named ABC future group of technology. During my job, I got chance to implement my mental wealth competencies in practical manner. I have encountered with various situations that in which I tried my best to use mental skills to deals with organisational conflict. Hence, I used reflective model as Gibbs to write experience about my job tenure and work performance during job. These as are-:

Description– At the time of job, I have given a role of working in a team and I was manager of that team. That time I was not having any experience to run a team. So, I learnt that how to work in team and how all efforts of individuals aid to accomplish business goals. I came to know that in order to manage the team, it is crucial to outline the strategies and take steps to find out people that who are best in managing what kind of proficiency. So, I assigned the role accordingly. I also talked my team member and listen their ideas about task individually. Then, with mutual agreement we all came to one strategy that aids to attain business goals before deadline. Thus, it also leads to enhance their work morale to perform their best.

Feelings- I realised team workings skills are crucial to run business activities in expertise manner. Better team performance leads to attend common goals and maximise business profitability. Without team performance this is not possible to carry organisational goals. With team performance there is possibility to work with creativity, openness, attractive tactics and its possible to come up with strategies that aids to cope up with organisation issues. Also, I came to know there were some issues among team members due to culture diversity and that led affected our team performance in negative aspect. So, I believed that culture intelligence is one of crucial mental wealth competencies. This is crucial to be better and respect other while performing in team. It will only help to individual to build strong relations.

Analysis– I have analysed that I was able to manage and lead a team effectively. My experience was quite good while performing in team. It has helped to build the understanding about the significance of connecting and communicating with other team members.  This is crucial to focus on developing the team work skills. I must have tried to enhance people knowledge about cultural intelligence. So, this would help to connecting well with others. During the teamwork I would be having better conversation with team members.

Evaluation- Due to issue of cultural intelligence I came to know about my lack of communication skill. I should have communicated effectively with my team members about diversified workforce. This skill would help me to face issues and challenges in future. So, I must prepare plan that can help me to improve my communication skill with other co-workers.

Conclusion– Based on undertaking evaluation, I have understood that this is significant to carry out self-evaluation process. By this, I came to know about my strength and weakness about managing a team. Hence, I must take some steps towards to improve my skill to perform my best in future. Thus, I came to know that I must improve skills such as communication, collaboration and cooperation.

Action plan- By working on my weakness I can only become professional manager that can carry his job perfectly. So, systematic development plan needs to be design to bring improvement in skills that required to be improved. Also, better strategies must be formulated to develop cooperation and collaboration skill. I would focus on attending the workshop for developing communication skills and that also aids in team building and management.

Conclusion

Hereby, it can be concluded that to carry out professional career effectively this is must to build professional competencies by focussing over core skills such as technical, cultural intelligence, social & emotional intelligence, industrial connections, cognitive intelligence and digital proficiency. The present study is based on reflection about the experience of working in professional workplace. Therefore, in-depth critical analysis has been undertaken on personal experience with reflective model as Gibbs’s reflective model.
