2.0 Assignment 3
2.1 Reflective Account – Specifications.
I am presenting a reflective model on the experience which I have faced during studying. I am using Gibbs’ reflective cycle in describing the problems which I have faced while studying.
Gibbs reflective model was developed by “Graham Gibbs” in 1988 which generally states about the self-learning from self-experiences (Gao et al. 2019). It consists of a framework where examining experience is made from the six stages which consists of Description (what actually happened), Feelings (individual’s reactions and feelings), Evaluation (what was good and what was bad), Analysis (which makes a proper sense of the situation), Conclusion (things learnt by the individuals) and Action Plan (implementing knowledge and experience).
Description: in which describing of the situations in detail are provided. Here, mainly the main points are included which mainly focuses on what actually happened (Vazou et al. 2017). The question consists of what actually happened? When and how it occurred? Who was present at that situation? What are the things done by you and others? What outcome did it make? Why were you present there? And what did you wanted to happen?
The problems which were faced while studying were mainly due to internal as well as external factors which typically includes panic attacks, tests, social and general anxiety. Where i have taken special measures in reducing the anxieties which led me to distract focus from studying by practicing exercises which helped me to significantly reduce the stress levels by generating proper sleep during nights as exercise led me to reduce the energy which helped to attain proper sleep which makes my mind relax and fills with energy while I woke up in the morning. I have also reduced my caffeine intake which raises anxiety. The internal factors which led me to distract from studying is from family problems, which was reduced by creating and maintaining a proper distance from my family members so as to reduce barriers which led me to distract from my study. Making proper planning’s for a particular day helped me to achieve the goals which were left far behind. The third most important step which was taken by me was staying healthy by consuming proper food intakes which helped me to make a proper diet so as to reduce any complications in the body.
Feelings: in which exploring of the feelings and thoughts in experiencing the impacts during the experience (Dressler et al. 2018). The question consists of What was your feeling at the situation?, What was your previous feeling?, What is your opinion about others in that situation?, What are they feeling right now?, What was your thinking ?, What is your take on the circumstances now?
During studying most of the time I felt tired as I cannot relate the things which have been taught in the class in self-studying. These problems were raised due to practicing extra co-curricular activities which made me to feel bored and stressed. This resulted in decreasing the level of interests which are required during studying. These problems or barriers were removed by taking small steps which included reducing co-curricular activities, listening to good music, playing with the questions in accordance with the topic and writing funny and interesting comics. Now I am feeling relaxed as I have coped up with the learnings by implementing these small steps.
Evaluation: here, evaluating the work is done which didn’t work in that particular situation. Where honesty is treated as a factor in determining this factor. Some questions are being provided by the researcher which helps in fulfilling this step. The question consists of what was acceptable and terrible with regards with the experience? What were the things that went well? List of things that went wrongly? What are the things done by others at that situation?
During studying I have made a self-analysis of my progress report which generally consists of the factors or the barriers which are leading me to distract from studying, are there any good as well as bad habits which are leading me to distract and any hindrance which prevents me from studying further. This progress report gave me an insight on which factors are leading in distracting. These factors were eliminated by taking proper guidance from my respected teachers which helped in making proper discussion of the problems and they have suggested that I opt for an educational programs which helped me to reduce these problems and increase self-analysis skills which helped me to motivate and make things possible in studying properly.
Analysis: here, a proper scene is made by the individual about what actually happened. Where, actual meanings are taken out from the situation (Adeani et al. 2020). The question consists of for what reason did things actually work out in an efficient way? What was the actual reason for not working? What sense would I be able to think about the situation? What opinions I can make and prove to others?
During studying by the results which were obtained by the evaluation portion I have made a good pickup with others in comparison with marks. And now I feel very happy because I have used certain factors and techniques which led to distraction while studying. The interaction with the teachers as well as seniors led me to show a roadmap where I have implemented all the tasks which were dictated by them to improve myself. Which helped me in reducing the barriers in studying.
Conclusion: In this part making proper decisions which completely regards with the situation what actually have occurred. This is where you summarize your learning and element what changes to your exercises could work on the outcome later on. It should be a trademark response to the past regions. The questions comprises of what did I acquire from the current situation? How is it that this might have been a more certain situation for every single invested individual? What capacities do I need to create for me to manage a situation like this better? What else could have done to eliminate the problem?
I have learnt a lot of things that led to deteriorate my level of interest in studies, which generally includes practicing huge extra co-curricular activities that led to deteriorate my energy and made to feel tired as I opened the page of a book. I would rather suggest others in using my steps that led me to make success which took significant time in improving my performance in the examinations.
Action Plan: At this movement you plan for what you would do some other way in a near or related situation later on. It can moreover be unimaginably helpful to ponder how you will act in a sudden manner so much that you don’t simply organize what you will do another way, yet furthermore how you will guarantee it happens. A portion of the time just the affirmation is adequate, despite how various events updates might be valuable. The questions consists of if I expected to go over the very same thing, what may I do whatever other way? How may I encourage the essential capacities which I truly need? How may I guarantee that I can act unmistakably in a little while?
I have made a huge loss of time in making proper analysis by myself. If this thing happens again then I would reach my teachers and discuss about the problems which I am currently facing at that time. Teachers are considered as the main pillar in developing the concepts among the students which helps them to endeavor their future. I can make sure of myself as this lesson is bigger in my life which I sometimes compare with other problems. This problem have made a mark in my mind which I cannot forget easily. So I am having enough confident in dealing these problems if it happens again. But I will make sure of myself that the same thing doesn’t happen again.
