As a multinational business marketer, the company has a strong organisational base of 44626 employees (Next, 2022). Young adult customers can be the essential part to generate profit. Digital innovation can be effective to engage the customers effectively. The company has a strong focus on the customers to meet the demands by implementing technological innovation.
Identification of recent technological challenges
Innovation is regarded to be one of the essential parts in the fashion industry to meet customer satisfaction. In the technologically changing era, innovation became an important part to ensure better engagement of the customers (Mateer and Haillay, 2019). However, recent economic changes within Next Plc have been of immense importance regarding technological shifts and changes. Revenue of the organisation has been affected in the recent past due to lack of investment in technology.
Poor maintenance of websites of the organisation affected the online marketing of the company. Online marketing can help the organisation to receive a large number of clientele outside its current operating market. As per the views of Li (2020), organisations face greater challenges regarding allocation of resources regarding technological innovation. There are significant challenges posed for the leaders as well regarding the smooth functioning of the consumer technologies. “Next Plc” faced issues due to the lack of technological knowledge among the employees. On the other hand, a growing ranges of customer technologies that became embedded in the purchasing activities of the individuals. Digital transformation can be associated with a number of risks associated with the implementation.
Lack of experimentation posed a threat regarding implementation of strategies over traditional approaches in the recent activities of Next Plc. Radical transformation can be a threat associated with cumulative organisational approaches. The organisation often faces issues regarding the execution of the strategies through series of experimentation (Ivanov and Dolgui, 2021). Temporary advantages often fail to focus on the sustainable strategies leading to permanent solutions. Competitive advantage of the firm can be enhanced by shaping strategies sustainably.
