Personal statement
In the CV I have mentioned about my skills and competencies for role of marketing analyst. So, I think that I possess relevant skills which is needed in this job role. Besides, I am having some experience as well so I can excel in it (Attwell, 2017). Therefore, first skill is that I am highly experienced in research skills. I am able to search on internet and find out content. Besides that, I am able to organize and present info in report format in attractive way. So, I am highly expert in researching skill. It will help me to prepare different market reports. Another skill which I possess is decision making. I am able to take effective decisions by solving problems. I know how to analyse decisions, what criteria is to be used and other things. Moreover, I examine future situation and on basis of that take decisions. This skill will help me in my job role. Alongside, I am able to work in creative way. This skill will be useful for me to analyse market trends in creative way. I will be able to perform my tasks differently. I try to do things in new way which results in improving my performance. Thus, this skill will enable me to think outside box in job role. Also, I will be able to make team work in creative way.
Hence, in this way I can bring creativity at work place. Apart from skills, I am diligent as well. I do my work very carefully. I do not show carelessness in my work (Jones, 2016). Also, I work very dedicatedly towards my goals. So, this competency will help me to work carefully as analyst. I will put hard efforts in performing my job role and duties. I also possess skill of managing things. I know how to manage things and in what way. Therefore, this skill will help me to manage people under me. Also, I will be able to manage my time and it will be easy for me to analyse their ability. As I am having experience as well of this job so I am aware of how I can utilize my current skills (Cohn and Hibbitts, 2014). It will benefit me in my growth and development.
Hence, these are several skills and competencies which I possess. It will enable me to perform my job role in effective way. I will use these skills in such a way that my performance improves and I am able to grow in company.
Interview process
There was a step-by-step process of interview which was conducted for selection of candidate for job role of marketing analyst. It is necessary to follow process so that right candidate is chosen otherwise it results in waste of time and money for organisation. Thus, the process is as below:
Screening- It is first step in which there are a lot of applications received and then they are screened on basis of specific criteria. The purpose is to eliminate those who do not met criteria (Feldstein, 2016).
First interview– This is second step in which applications of those candidates selected are called for interview. In this the HR executive ask different types of questions like key trends in marketing, big players in industry, etc. this makes it easy for executive to select candidate in brief.
Aptitude test- It is third stage where aptitude test is done in order to analyse candidate skills and competencies in more depth. The test is done to identify logical, English and other capabilities of person.
Final interview – This is last step in which final interview is taken by HR manager. In this the actual interview is done to analyse overall candidate. There are certain criteria on basis of which marks are given. Then, decision is taken to finalize candidate.

I realized that I need to develop certain skills so that I am able to get job role of marketing analyst. I also found that I lack certain competencies as well due to which I am not able to get my desired job role. So, for that I will use an aspect of course in order to improve several skills which areas below:
Communication skills– I found it difficult to communicate in verbal way to each other but in non-verbal I can easily able to do so (Graves and Sunstein, 2015). Thus, I need to develop my verbal communication skills. it will help me in to interact with others and develop relation with them. I will be able to share my feelings, expressions etc. with them. Besides that, I will be able to communicate openly with my colleagues. It will enable me in my future growth in my career.
Leadership – I am not good in leadership due to which I am not able in guiding and directing juniors. Furthermore, I was also aware how to train them. It effects on my performance. Hence, it becomes essential for me to enhance these skills as it will enable me to effectively lead a team and become a successful leader. In future I will be able to showcase my leadership skills in effective way.
Problem-solving -Besides, I have also analysed that my skills of solving problems is weak. I am not able to solve problem effectively. It lades to affect my performance negatively. Therefore, it becomes important for me to improve these skills that would be beneficial for me in future career goals. It will help me in my professional growth. Besides that, I will learn overall process of it and easily solving various types of problems (Jäntti, 2020).
Time management– I am not able to complete my tasks on time. So, I am not able to attain goals in proper way. Therefore, I am not able to maintain balance between personal and professional life. It entirely impacts on my competency and ability. So, by improving this skill I will manage my time in efficient way. This will help me in my personal life as well.
Team working skills– I need to improve this skill in order to work in team. This is because I am not able to work in effective way in team. Due to that team goals are not achieved. Therefore, my efficiency is hampered. I will be able to work in team that enhance my performance.
Analytical skills– I must improve this skill so that I am able to analyse data and info in effective way to obtain precise outcomes (Paulson and Meyer, 2019). This skill is highly crucial in my field as entire performance is dependent on how I analyse data to obtain outcomes. It will sharpen my ability and competency as an analyst. Moreover, my analysing ability will be at high level.
Thus, these are skills which I feel I need to improve. It will help me to grab role of marketing analyst in MNC. I have to ensure that the skills are improved.
Conclusion
It can be concluded that market analyst is difficult job role in which it requires varied types of skills and competencies such as leadership, communication, creativity. The interview process consists of certain steps like screening, aptitude test, final interview. I analyzed that I need to learn problem, solving, team working, analytical skills, in order to grow in job role of market analyst
