It further helps in maintaining an effective business culture and developing the overall employee performance level which further helps the business organisation to gain a high level of competitive advantages such as increased rate of profitability in the competitive market. For task 1, the case study of NPP Rehabilitation services has been chosen effectively. This report is going to shed light on the strategic perspectives regarding leadership and diversity along with the health and well-being factors of employees in the business organisation. It will further describe information on the recommended strategies including the leadership approaches required to ensure improved working performance and the business efficiency level of NPP Rehabilitation services.
2. Developing a strategy to lead health (Physical and mental) and well-being critically evaluates the case study company’s current approach to:
2.1 Leadership
The case study interview with Karl Welborn, the director of NPP Rehabilitation Services, served as the basis for this critical analysis of his leadership approach and styles. Situational leadership is also evident in Karl Welborn’s leadership style in the case study interview. Welborn understands the value of adjusting his leadership style to each team member’s maturity and ability level through promoting staff development and mentoring. Welborn’s attitude to the difficulties presented by the worldwide epidemic demonstrates his capacity to manage change successfully. Welborn’s leadership style at NPP Rehabilitation Services has significantly influenced the development of an encouraging and innovative organisational culture. The corporate culture is characterised by a strong commitment to patient care, a focus on continual learning and development, and a sense of cooperation among staff. These days, employee development and mentorship are given a lot of attention in the workplace. This encouraging work environment aids in lowering turnover rates and increasing employee engagement. He demonstrates a proactive and resolute attitude to crisis management, emphasising teamwork and fact-based decision-making. 2.3 Organisational health and well-being
In regard to the health and well-being factor of employees, Welborn is concerned with maintaining proper safety of employees within the workplace which has been a supportive factor to improve the working performance level of employees. This further helps in developing the working performance level and overall business operation process of NPP Rehabilitation services. As mentioned by Pradhan and Hati (2022), the theory of well-being effectively discusses the most significant perspectives such as proper waste management and avoiding waste systems within the business area. This will further have a positive impact on the safety and health condition of employees which will have a positive impact on the overall business productivity (Mintzberg, 1987).
This will further positively impact the working performance level and overall profit generation rate of NPP Rehabilitation services in the competitive market which is the key and positive side of the business. The strong and effective way of considering the approaches like health and well-being are supportive factors for Welborn to ensure an improved level of business performance and a high level of employee retention rate. This will have a positive impact on the overall business performance and overall market recognition of the firm.
It could further be discussed that a significant way of developing the internal business framework of NPP Rehabilitation services has been supportive and the most effective technique for Welborn to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction rate. As mentioned by Pradhan and Hati (2022), regular basis dealing with employees along with understanding their problems related to health and well-being factors have been strong and effective practices of business organisations to ensure an improved level of business performance (Tapera, 2014). This information indicates Welborn has obtained a high level of success in the competitive market by maintaining health and well-being factors.
