According to the study skills handbook, there are seven types of approaches to learning.
Different styles and means of communication
Verbal Communication – Verbal communication happens when the person is engaging in speaking with others. The communication can happen face to face, via skip, via zoom or over the telephone, etc. Some verbal communication is informal, like chatting with a friend with a cup of coffee in the kitchen of the office, while the others are formal, like the scheduled meeting. It is a common type of communication. It is involved with sign language or spoken words to share any type of information. Verbal communication refers to a speech that sends a message (Choudhury et al., 2019).
Non-Verbal Communication – Non-verbal communication is included with posture, eye contact, facial expressions, touch, and hand movements. Sometimes, non-verbal communication supports verbal communication. As an example, if the persons are engaged with the boss about the cost-saving idea, it is vital to pay attention to both the non-verbal communication and the words. In the agreement, the boss can be included with non-verbal ideas like sighing, scrunched up face, eye contact, etc. (Wahyuni, 2018).
Written communication – Written communication process can happen through email, report, memo, Facebook post, or Twitter. To disseminate the information, all written communication maintains the same type of goals in a concise and clear manner through the goal that is not achieved. In fact, poor writing skills lead to embarrassment and confusion. The main benefit of the written communication is it can deliver a large amount of information. In the business, it plays an important role.
Listening – Active listening is an important communication type because if the person can not listen to the other person’s words, they cannot engage with each other effectively, and then it makes it difficult to achieve the goal. In the process of communication, listening is an ability that can interpret and receive the message. Without listening, messages can be misunderstood. Listening is so important that many employers provide a training program to their employees to develop their listening skills (SkillsYouNeed., 2021).

It is defined as a helper. When a huge amount of information is presented, a visual p[erspective3 can help to receive the message (Krause, 2017).
The people communicate continuously throughout every day. People can communicate without thinking – we operate on the communication autopilot. Visual communication uses charts, maps, logos, graphs to share information. It is mostly used in combination with written or verbal communication. It can simplify the information.
