Reflection task for the area of marketing
Google job descriptions posted by marketers are quite detailed and outline various requirements as far as I have seen. These descriptions of jobs are tailor-made for every organization and the desired post for which they are willing to hire capable individuals. In this regard, I have seen companies seeking skills such as Communication Skills, Analytical Skills, Creativity, Teamwork and Collaboration and Digital Marketing Skills.
The term “search intelligence” describes the procedure of examining data from search engines to learn more about customer behaviour, preferences, and trends. This may be done by looking at search results, search engine queries, and other information on online search activity. Individuals having these skills can be potentially the best choice for marketers. Moreover, skills such as structuring information and persuasion are also quite useful as this helps employers to understand the competence level of the candidates in structuring information which is an essential aspect of developing effective marketing strategies. Effective persuasion skills are a major part of communication skills in marketing and companies value these skills and constantly look out for candidates who possess them (Amor, 2019). Moreover, job descriptions on google also articulate analytical skills to be a necessary quality for marketers and in this respect candidates who are able to evaluate different offers and choose the best job for themselves are often tested for their choice during interviews. This helps companies to understand the competence level of the candidates and to what extent they can perceive consumer behaviour based on need preference and demand.
Reflection task for the area of strategy
As the online platforms of gumtree or eBay are basically based on online bidding options, I have to focus on implementing a strategy that would help me to buy products at a lower price from others in the market. It would help me to purchase certain products at a significantly lower price as compared to the product price in the regular market. On the basis of my personal belief, I have decided that there are two strategies that could help me to achieve greater success and bid smartly within these platforms. The first strategy that I will focus on work on is to avoid round numbers. As per my personal belief, this strategy would help me to off-track other competitors in the online websites that are bidding for the particular product from a psychological point of view. As it is going to slow the momentum of the auction, it will help me to out-compete some of the participants trying to bid for a particular product. I have decided that my second strategy would be to wait until the auction’s final moments come to place for a particular product bid. This strategy is also referred to as “auction sniping” (Cao et al. 2019). By adapting to the specific strategy, I would be able to create a certain presence within the meeting timing of the particular product. Apart from that, it will also help me to disrupt the momentum of other competitors in the auction, trying to bid for the same product as I am.
