This report is all about to reflect the learning cycle in which different goals will be discussed and along with identified how it has been achieved and what did right or area of improvement. these areas help to revise the goals or achieve on proper manner (Sharma and Nagendra, 2016). Basically, three type of goals will be discussed such as academic, employability goal and wellbeing goal etc. these goals are discussed with the help of Kolb’s experiential learning cycle which helps individual to identify the goal, what happened, how did it and what’s next to improve the skill for achieving the goal. Thus, these goals will be addressed in this reflection with identifying how much I have achieved or what still need to focus for improvement.
Reflection on academic skills development
Academic goal is to secure good scores. I have done SWOT analysis to understand strength and weakness of mine and presented in appendix. The reason behind to select this goal as good grades or scores plays an important role to select the desired career options. Every individual must secure good position in class so that they can move towards their dreams. in order to get good score and develop academic skill, I did lot of research or long-hours study. Even, I took help of my mentors or seniors to assist me in certain topics. however, internet is something that I also utilized a lot in my studies as I found that every thing is available on internet and this helps to gain in-depth knowledge about different subject matter (Wade et al., 2018).
In my academic skill development program, the things that work well is the taking help of seniors as they really helped me to get the important notes or idea about the questions that need to focus more specifically. but things that didn’t go well are the largely use of internet as this platform is loaded with wider information. In the stage of academic level, I believe certain books or teacher notes are sufficient to make clarity about the topics (Kim et al., 2020). This is because internet material sometime make individual confuse as internet-based articles include critical analysis of topic so it has both pros or cons side of work so it become difficult to present real findings in academic test properly. that’s why, I believe internet is not a good option to consider especially at the time of academic level where only certain recommended books are enough to do.
The activities I did to overcome my mistake not to address the internet a lot as I take help of e-articles when I didn’t find any details in recommended books. Otherwise, I focus more on the teacher or seniors helps to solve my queries.
Reflection on employability goal
Employability goal is to get admission in top-listed universities so that right job can be secured. the reason behind to select this goal as for employment strengthening of skill or right knowledge are required. I can gain this only with the association with reputed PG colleges.
There are certain actions that I took like apply GRE test for studying aboard and get quality education. I also took help of my seniors who already worked in reputed organization so asked them about the process to access right education. In respect to this action, the things that went well are the decision to give GRE exam for taken opportunity to access quality education or job (Di Gregorio et al., 2019). Things that didn’t well is that due to insufficient score I didn’t get a higher ranked college. But I feel that giving Exam or preparing for the competition have given me lot of learning experience which gives a sense of confidence to be able to achieve my desires.
In regards to future growth, I will prefer to strengthen my skills first as the improvement of communication or listening skills is important for me to get good PG college or even job. These are the basic skill that give me confidences to move towards the right career options (Asonitou, 2015). That’s why, I will take admission Personal development classes or even plans to attend the workshops of senior business leader so that their opinion or process to carry themselves can be learned out or incorporate it in myself. These are the areas that could help me to achieve goals.
Reflection on wellbeing goal
The wellbeing goal is to become mental or physical healthy. this goal is also explained with the help of SMART goal table in appendix. I chose this goal as pandemic has affected both of my mental or physical health. I really find important to stay fit for my wellbeing. I took certain actions to achieve my goals through joined aerobics classes in morning along with doing yoga for mental wellbeing. Even I also talked to my friends for avoiding loneliness. in this, the things that works well is the practice of doing exercise daily but the talking with friends didn’t work well for long-term (Steptoe and Wardle, 2017). But these actions have given me different experiences which also helps to be more socialized in nature.
Summary and Conclusion
On the basis of above goals summary, I found that setting of goals are perfect but it’s must to focus on certain things to achieve these goals. first, I need to be confident and it come with the excessive participation in current college activities. this gives a sense of encouragement to achieve my academic, employability or even well-being goals. it is recommended to list-down the activities or desires that want to do in present or future. therefore, these areas would help me to strengthen my skills or professional career.
