Literature review
Theme 1: To understand the concept of training and development.
Lowrie et. al. (2017) sought to determine the fact that training and development of the employees is an act to build specific skills, knowledge, and abilities in order to raise the performance level within the organization. This method is branched into two categories which include qualitative and quantitative methods of research. The existing investigator of this project will choose a qualitative method of research to understand the concept of training and development. This approach will help in gaining theoretical data by understanding ideas, experiences and concepts.
Research approach: It includes procedures and effective plans linked with the research. This method is branched into two categories which comprise inductive and deductive research approaches. The existing investigator of this project will choose an inductive research approach to generate a new theory that emerges from the data in order to determine the challenges faced by the company associated with training and development.
Research philosophy: This is a belief according to which information associated with the subject matter must be collected and analyzed (Ngozwana, 2018). This method is branched into two categories which comprise interpretivism and positivism methods of research philosophy. The researcher of this study will opt for an interpretivism philosophy method to observe the social world and interpret various elements of the research questions.
Research design: This method is branched into two categories which include descriptive and exploratory research design (Abutabenjeh and Jaradat, 2018). The existing investigator of this project will choose a descriptive research design to investigate one or more set of variables by answering what, where, how, and when questions in –depth associated with the topic.
Data collection: It helps in collecting relevant sets of data using appropriate sources. This method is branched into two categories which consist of primary and secondary methods of data collection. The researcher of this study will opt for primary and secondary methods of data collection. A questionnaire will be prepared for gathering primary first-hand information. Also, books, journals, websites, articles, manuals, blogs, books, newspapers, etc., will be referred for gathering secondary information.
Sampling: It aids in choosing the accurate sample size from the large population (Basias and Pollalis, 2018). This method is branched into two sets which include probabilistic and non-probabilistic sampling methods. The existing investigator of this project will choose a random probabilistic method where 20 managers of Hilton UK will be selected to determine how training and development help in improving the productivity of employees within the company.
Data analysis: It is beneficial in analyzing the data which has been gathered to gain valid inputs. This method is branched into two sets which consist of thematic analysis and SPSS tools. The researcher of this study will opt for thematic data analysis method where all the variables of each theme will be well analyzed and find the best possible solution to the research questions using qualitative methods.
Ethical consideration and limitation: The research is carried out in an ethical way where data is gathered from reliable and authentic sources (Ragab and Arisha, 2018). All the data are kept confidential and comply with the general data protection act. There is voluntary participation of the members, and transparency is maintained. One of the most significant limitations linked with this project was time constraints. However, the researcher developed an appropriate timeline where time was allotted to each activity in order to meet research deadlines.

It is helpful in creating a positive and enthusiastic work culture. On-the-job training is one of the prominent key methods of training that leads to the higher career growth of the employees. The study is carried out using a qualitative method of research to gain theoretical data by understanding concepts, experiences, and concepts. Thematic data analysis method where all the variables of each theme will be well analyzed and find the best possible solution to the research questions.
Recommendations
It has been recommended that the company must carry out an On-the-job training method to develop the career of the employees by improving the skills, knowledge, and learning among the employees of the company.
