The main aim of the chosen pictures is to demonstrate the craze of cultural tourism in Paris. This city is considered to be one of the most attractive tourist places around the world. This city is considered to be one of the most attractive places mainly due to its rich culture including variant arts, museums, music, and festivals (Cattan and Frétigny, 2021). The capital city of France includes a lot of monuments that are considered to be the top attractions in the city such as the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre Dame Cathedral (Brian, Poirier-Quinot and Lyzwa, 2021, September).
Apart from that, there are a lot of art galleries around the city which attract people around the city to visit every year. This is the main reason behind 44 million visitors coming to the city in 2022. Moreover, during the pandemic also the tourism industry in the country was not affected much. Thus, the four pictures have been chosen to show tourist attractions in the place. The main advantage of cultural tourism is that it helps people in acknowledging their own culture due to the increased relevance of their particular culture around the globe (Graburn, Maria and Jean-François, 2019).
Through this cities can ensure cultural, economic as well as social growth. In the first picture, the beauty of the great Eiffel Tower can be seen which can be considered the most famous place in the city (Simpson, Liles and Bird, 2023). In the second picture, Arc de Triomphe and various tourists can also be seen in the picture. Notre Dame Cathedral can be seen in the picture which is known for its delightful structures along with stained-glass windows (Smith et al., 2020).
These rich and attractive structures are one of the major attractions in the city. The culture of a country cannot be defined without mentioning its art. Thus, the fourth picture is chosen which is of an art gallery in Paris which is also considered as a major attraction here.

This picture mainly describes the undeniable beauty of the Eiffel Tower. This picture is chosen as it correctly aligning with this module which is aimed at evaluating impact of society and culture on tourism development. There is no doubt that Eiffel tower representative overall cultural richness of Paris for many years now. This tower also depicts technological advancement of French people and considered to be the work of art.
Arc de Triomphe is also a cultural symbol in Paris which was built in honor of those who fought and died in the country during the Napoleonic wars and French Revolution. This monument has an eternal flame which is burning for 100 years. This monument have the list of all the battles fought by France and its victories along with the name of all those generals who died in the wars.
Thus, a very important part of France, its history and culture is reflected by this monument. This was the main aim behind choosing the picture as by reflecting on French culture, its history and people, this picture completely relates with the module. Moreover, there are very few international tourists who do not visit this place if they are in Paris.
Notre Dame Cathedral shows the rich architectural knowledge of the French people. Efficiency in architectural knowledge and use of technology is inseparable attribute of French culture especially in Paris and this monument is the prime example of it. Apart from that, the main reason behind building this structure was to represent cultural, political, and economical power of the city in Paris.
Moreover, people in Paris are known for their expertise in Gothic architecture and this moment is their most impactful creation. Thus, this picture is chosen as it is highly aligned with the module that aims to increase knowledge about culture and its impact on tourism development. This monument is highly popular among catholic tourists. Apart from them, people who have high interest in history definitely visits this place on their visit in Paris.
This picture shows famous art gallery in Paris. Art exhibitions are considered to an integral part of the Paris culture. Exhibitions in art galleries creates moments of cultural enrichment and discovery for tourists in the country. This gallery includes art of unusual installation, performances, classic works and contemporary design that connects to the core culture of the city. Thus, this picture is selected for including overall essence of the city which is necessary for completing this module effectively.
