Introduction

The economic development of a business organization depends on its value and culture among the customers. For this, the Missional business conference was held that is impairment and encouragement event. The main purpose of this study is providing a reflection of this event that includes the speeches of several people. In addition, this study provides the overview of key points of the speakers as well as it also includes three key points that are presented by different speakers. At the same time, this study also reflected on the changes and development through this conference on the researcher. 

Part A

The Missional Business Conference 2018 was held on 14 August 2018, where different speakers have provided their views about humanities, education and business. I have identified that Mr Martin Upton has discussed that a businessman should work for wellbeing of the human by treating people as godly characters. I think they make us understand that a business-person must staying true in business for God’s dream. Moreover, I have also identified that Mr Martin Upton said that relationship is more important for business then works. On the other hand, Mr Peter King also helps me to understand about the vision, reality, plan, implementation, review, etc. which are very necessary for effective business performance. In addition, I have also understood about the three pillars of transformational development that are helpful for growth in of the society. These pillars are education development, economic development, and culture & values but they have mostly focused on the economic development with healthy social environment. In addition to this, Ms Kara Martin also represented their presentation that helped to understand about the economic development of the country through the performances of the business organizations. After this, Mr Michael Oon also represented their thoughts and helped us to understand about the wilderness that is outside God. In this, I have gain knowledge about Muskathlon and Xtreme Character Challenge (XCC). I think these challenges are the ultimate endurance challenge that sets in extreme locations for raising significant funds to provide righteousness and justice worldwide. I have also understood by the speech of Mr. Michael Oon that there is something wild in us who should be let out and it can be possible with ultimate endurance. At last, Mr. Phil Cave also shared several stories regrinding his journey in business and life. All these stories are motivational for me to make ethical decisions for the growth of the business.

Part B

It is identified by me that the ‘Missional business conference 2018’ was designed for the purpose of focusing on three key points which are ‘Staying true to God dream in business’, ‘The Wilderness – God is outside’ and ‘Turning the vision into reality’. In concern about staying true, I have understood that a businessman needs to fulfill the god’s dream where it should work for the wellbeing of the people. Their engagement with the conference theme, I have defined that the business should build with the people love experience because it is God’s nature. It creates the value of the business where business and consumers feel good, be good, lead good and connect well (Tozer, 2015). I think it creates the trust of the customer on business and its product. The second focus of this conference was on Wilderness, their interpretation of scripture where it has been teaching me that each living things need live on bread or food to alive not only human. In concern to this, I have recognized that human beings need to understand their mind, body, and soul by two main events Muskathlon and XCC. I think these kinds of events are very effective for a business-person to know their responsibilities about the social environment (Barton, 2012). According to Mr. Michael Oon, it is suggested that if a person wants to hear God then it go to a wide open space and start walking.

In addition to this, I have defined from the presentation of Mr. Peter King that transformational development includes three pillars for the growth of the country as well as society. I think the educational development provides the higher levels of national and regional education that is helpful to provide creative thinking for the success of the business (Avis, 2013). Additionally, it is also recognized by me that economic development is supportive to enhance the spread of wealth distribution across most of the sectors of the country as well as individuals. Moreover, the third key prerequisite for growth in culture and values that provides strength to the nation which is depended on the morality and the applications (Spong, 2014). I support the sentence of Mr. Peter King who provided that the cultures and values are helpful in strong inherent awareness of right and wrong as well as commitment to act according to dictates of personal values.

Part C

As per my personal perspective, it can be said that the Missional business conference has helped me to develop my knowledge regarding doing the business truly. It has unlocked my mind to develop big ideas to effectively conduct the business in an ethical manner. This conference has changed my mind and I would make business decisions in an ethical manner that would include confidence, courage, wisdom, provision, and peace. In which, I will use my weakness as a strength through the use of Christ’s power that includes peace, confidence, politeness, etc. On the other hand, I also realized that the wilderness is an uncultivated, uninhabited, and inhospitable region which provides the feeling that God is outside. In concern to this, I have also realized that a man also focuses on the outside environment during business activities to save the life of other living things because they also came from the mouth of the lord.

At the same time, the speech of Mr. Peter King in the conference includes several important aspects for the growth of a community, society, and country. It helped me to develop the skills that are helpful to build foundations for a healthy democracy and its sustainable future. I have identified three important pillars like the development of education, economy and culture & value that are helpful in prerequisite for the growth of the country. I think the educational development of the country, culture, and community plays a significant role in increasing the productivity and economic development. It maximizes the potential leadership within the nation that enhances the dignity and self-worth. The economic development is also an essential part to increase the wealth of the country that is helpful to improve income and jobs in the country. I have also defined that the culture and value of a country is also a strength that provides strong inherent awareness of right and wrong.  

Conclusion

From the above study, it is concluded that the above study is a personal reflection of the Missional business conference. It includes the overview of the speaker’s key points where it is concluded that a business should be developed on the true decisions and think about the humanity. On the other side, it also concludes that the business must focus on the vision and convert it into reality.
