Section 1: Introduction about the Guideline of AAP on ADHD

American Academy of Paediatrics is a group of medical practicing agencies that attains patients having medical difficulties. Diagnosing health issues consisting of mental, physical, and social health of people this organization provides guidelines. It is witnessed that most commonly mental health disorders are witnessed within young children or in adolescents.

Hence, by taking assistance from medical practitioners, this organization provides them with health and support. It is witnessed that Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder or ADHD is a very common is a profound neural disorder that affects people’s psychological attributes (Ncbi, 2011). Owing to this, American Academy of Paediatrics are providing assistance to the affected ones by providing them with medical guidelines.

AAP witnessed that ADHD most commonly affects children who are at school level based on which they often get psychological problems. However, AAP after conducting surveys and analysis has come to a point about the problem of ADHD (Ncbi, 2011). This organization has stated that if people can be diagnosed at an appropriate time, this problem can be effectively remitted based on which they can obtain a healthy life. ADHD is such a kind of psychological disorder that not only affects an individual but also connects with the patients’ families’ psychology.

Section 2: Critical Analysis of Qualitative Evidence

According to the observation of AAP, ADHD is a psychological disorder that often affects patients and creates a crisis. As per the observation of Bakir (2020), existential crisis is a hypertensive psychological disorder due to which an individual might face serious psychological issues. Hence, in order to remit this aspect, often-special care, and assistance needs to be given to patients.

However, in case of ADHD, there are similar kinds of psychological illnesses that need special care and attributes. AAP by collaborating with various organizations has developed a guideline that primary care from family of a patient and subspecialty groups can provide assistance towards a patient in developing their progress (Ncbi, 2011).

As there were issues in previous guidelines conveyed by AAP in case of ADHD, they have emphasised on the new ones. Owing to this aspect, it can provide effective assistance and stability towards patients suffering from this chronic psychological disorder.

Though AAP claims that ADHD can be cured using appropriate diagnosis and support groups however, it is observed that this psychological disorder cannot be prevented or cured. According to the analysis of KC & Dash (2017), it is stated that ADHD cannot be cured but the symptoms can be suppressed using treatments. In addition it is also witnessed that this psychological disorder mostly develops in 6 to 7% of children aged 12 or under.

ADHD is such a psychological disorder that typically involves medications and behavioural interventions. Based on this aspect, it can be stated that though the claims of AAP are certain, ADHD is an incurable psychological disorder. However, it can be stated that if proper treatments like medication by Paediatrics and support group consultancies are provided to patients it might suppress the problems of patients.

In case of children suffering from ADHD, a patient can obtain beneficial development in some significant ways. As this problem is completely connected in a psychological state, hence, treatments like standard medication, behavioural therapy, counselling and proven education can assist children in coping up from this medical condition.

These approaches can relieve children from the symptoms of ADHD but might not be able to cure them completely. As per the observation of Weibel et al. (2020), it is very important for a child to acquire education related to psychological attributes due to which they can cope up with this chronic psychological disorder. In addition, it is also stated that children aged above six years develop a psychological state based on which they might acquire this kind of education in order to deal with problems.

However, in case of adults, ADHD might occur owing to certain circumstances based on which they might face psychological instability. Problems like unemployment, failed marriage, criminality and accidents are certain aspects based on which this significant amount of problems might occur towards adults.

As per the observation of van Emmerik-van Oortmerssen et al. (2019), has observed that in some cases patients develop this problem from their childhood but by making use of medication they have suppressed their problems. However, in adulthood owing to some circumstances this problem might trigger the patient again misbalancing their psychological state.

In that case, providing patients with special care and an effective treatment process might provide them with a significant amount of progress by assisting them in coping up with this problem.

Owing to this practice, they can improve their state of mental health conditions.
