The profound actions of the project manager help the entire team to find suitable back support to meet the proper management standard (Pacak, 2020). | Project manager |
Financial risk | 3 | 4 | 12 | In order to conduct the operations, incorporate the essential tools and develop a standard action plan it is needed to set up expert teams and provide them with the resources to conduct their operations (Hunt et al. 2020). For this reason, the fiancé has always been a crucial factor to find stability and sustainability. | Finance manager |
Security risk | 2 | 4 | 8 | All the actions and the project implementation require the proper data support (Fletcher et al. 2021). Securing the confidential information along with the effective approach to minimize the general risks is needed to focus on critical factors such as synchronization of the operations and maintaining the standardized flow of information (Carmichael, 2019). | Project manager |
Quality risk | 2 | 3 | 6 | Proper marketing requires suitable quality maintenance (Magede, 2021). For this reason, it is needed to retain the balance in the work culture and the action plans. Knowing the market demands in the field of sports for the case of Luton Rugby Football Club, standard gameplay must be retained with the demanded entertainment qualities. | Quality manager, analytics |
Strategic risk | 2 | 4 | 8 | Market demands and their meeting strategies are required to be established in order to count the effective strategies in the management (Hoctor, 2021). Therefore, the customer-centric approaches and allocation of the strategies to fulfil the objectives is a very crucial factor to look into minutely. | Project manager, analytics |
Market risk | 3 | 3 | 9 | Sports are encouraged and in demand for the purpose of entertainment (Read et al. 2022). There is an utmost need to know the viewpoints of the stakeholders and come up with a suitable risk management plan in order to counter the material risks like productive outputs and the gains (Extremism and Promoting Social Cohesion Commission, 2018). | Marketing manager, project manager |
Customer risk | 2 | 4 | 8 | Sponsors, audiences and shareholders are the sole proprietors of investment (Novack, 2021). They sustain the balance of the game and make them productive and attractive with innovative approaches to meet the demands of the customers. In order to minimize the customer risk, it is needed to figure out their demands first and then determine the strategies to enlist the profitability and enhance the standard of the game (Thomas, 2018). | Customer support manager |
Supplier risk | 3 | 4 | 12 | Ensuring the timely supply with the stipulated quality is essential to count in the mainframe of the business even in the case of sports like football (Weissmann, 2021). Luton Rugby Football Club must consider ensuring a good number of suppliers who can sustain their time demands and meet the standard to ensure the proper conduction of the operations. | Project manager, marketing manager |
Motivational risk | 2 | 3 | 6 | In order to conduct the operations to meet the objectives, it is needed to ensure a standardized work sequence and quality (Pereira et al. 2019). This requires the influence of the management to their associates to provide their best by ensuring the fulfilment of their needs. | Project manager, Customer service manager, HRM |
Table 2: Risk Register
(Source: Pereira et al. 2019)
In order to meet all the risks such as Technological risk, Financial risk, Security risk, Quality risk, Strategic risk, Market risk, Customer risk, Supplier risk and Motivational risk, all the management must ensure their fullest contribution to a common objective (Pacak, 2020).
The need is to marketize the charm of the organization and attract more audiences to the arena where entertainment and the business need both can be met. Ensuring the quality supply of resources, optimized management of finance and human-centric approaches to motivate the associates can bring the required quality standard to the club to meet its marketing needs.
Sports is not just having entertainment by playing games. There are a lot of things associated with it such as career growth, business productivity, supply management and others (Hunt et al. 2020). Therefore, Luton Rugby Football Club must consider enlisting all the risk management mechanisms to obtain a progressive framework for their business and entertainment needs.
Stakeholder analysis
There are certainly effective methods to the stakeholder analysis while the most standardized method is the power interest grid (Fletcher et al. 2021). Before commencing the main standpoints of the power interest grid, it is needed to discuss the key factors associated with it.
The objectives are set depending upon the needs of the projects but if the classification of the objectives is not done properly, the project which is the marketing of the Luton Rugby Football Club cannot be conducted properly. The classification of the stakeholders and their functions are analysed below –
Stakeholder | Interest | Communication medium | Frequency |
CEO | The role of the CEO is the most important among the stakeholders and as per the power interest grid, they are considered as the high powered and highly interested persons (Carmichael, 2019). They make the decisions on behalf of the entire organization and are responsible to count them effectively to meet the demands for the objectives. | Board meeting | 15 days |
Operation Managers | All the operations such as allocation of the roles and responsibilities, selection of players, counting the marketing demands, finance and other functions come under the post’s supervision (Magede, 2021). They are also high powered and highly interested people in the organizational structure. Thus, emphasizing their interest and following their commands with justification is an essential measure to take. | Face to face and board meeting | 7 days |
Investors | It is the investors by whom all the quality standards are ensured with the timely supply of the resources. They are also responsible for the allocation of essential goods and services to ensure the marketing standard and business needs (Hoctor, 2021). They are considered to be high powered but less interested people as they are not quite interested in operation management but interested in profit-making. | Board meeting | 15 days |
HR managers | Among other things to look into the profitability at any platform either business or in the field of sports the most essential factor is to count the HR managers, understanding their demands and their influence in the project implementation (Read et al. 2022). | Meeting, E-mail | 15 days |
Employees | In the case of Luton Rugby Football Club, employees are optimistic to find optimized and effective strategies that can influence their marketing needs and the business demands at the same time. | Face to face | 7 days |
Marketing manager | In order to ensure the quality output even in the case of sports, there are certain requirements that must be looked into to figure out the proper strategies by the marketing managers to implement the objectives and count their effectiveness (Novack, 2021). | 20 days | |
Customer support manager | Before commencing that need it is required to count the need of CSM, their participation in the project and their effect on the project standardization by understanding the customer demands (Thomas, 2018). They play key roles in supporting the team by ensuring the demands of the customers to obtain maximum profitability. | Meeting | 7 days |
Analysts | They determine the strategies suitable according to the time and market standards. For this reason, a quality analysis becomes possible for the stakeholders for the strategic development of the project even in the case of marketing (Weissmann, 2021). | Face to face | 5 days |
Quality manager | Ensuring the production quality as per the demands and counting in the resources for the successful completion of the project are their responsibilities. | Meetings | 7 days |
Finance manager | Allocation of funds on the different aspects, keeping records and analysing the market performance is performed by a finance manager (Timmins and Baird, 2022). It is them who influence the organization to take up decisions on the beneficial activities of which maximum profitability can be obtained even in the case of Luton Rugby Football Club. | Board meeting | 15 days |
