What are meta-tags & what are meta-tags for?

Meta-tags are the words that describe the content on the webpage, but these words or texts are hidden in the code. It includes three important elements such as title, description and keywords. On the other hand, the meta-tags are html elements that provide the information on a web page for search engines where the website visitors can access the information (Schrempp et al., 2012).

It has the legal hidden words on the web page that are important for search engine optimization. The search engine reads the hidden words and identifies the actual keywords. The meta-tags can be used for title, description and keywords to help search engine.

Meta description is related to the visible content that are hidden on the web page. The description tags show the more results to google search and keywords are used in the site that indicates the search engine result page.

What can be included meta-tags? Give three examples.

Meta-tags are an html tag that includes the overview, attributes, formatting, fonts, links, images, layouts, backgrounds, styles, content or information on a web page for search engine (Cava, 2015). It focuses on the basic three elements like tags, keywords and descriptions that help to read the information for search engine. There are three examples of meta-tags.

First, a company wants to sell wooden furniture on own website than it would include sources of meta-tags, because these are the important parts of the website. The title of this company is “sell wooden furniture”. The company would start to add the title, description and keywords.

It would use colored letters, furniture, name, quality, price and features that would be helpful to read the HTML in an easy way. These types of information would be important to retain the customers, because these are interesting for visitors.

Second, in the London, a company provides the best burgers services on the portal and uploads many offers to attract the customers. It focuses on the title tag “best burgers in London” and uses the description like quality, price, background, images, information, etc. and updates the website timely (Arlitschand O’Brien, 2012).

The visitors can use the services of this company, because the search engine would help to provide information about this company. Third, author write a book than it has the title tags “key importance of computer uses” and include the description such as author, date of publication, page numbers, content and price.

These types of information can be uploaded on a web page where visitors can access the information, because the search engine would help to provide information about the book to them.

What is Dublin core? Give an example of Dublin core meta tags.

Dublin core is a schema that provides small set of vocabularyterms effectively. It is helpful to describe the different resources like video, images, web pages, books, objects, etc.The Dublin core is an organization that develops the interoperable online metadata standardsto provide effective support to the business model (Mahdi Taheri and Hariri, 2012). The example of Dublin core meta tags:

A META HTTP-EQUIV tag is an attribute that provides HTTP header to the content. It provides the information and values of the content attributes and also simulatesthe HTTP responses header (Claros and Cobos, 2012).The META HTTP-EQUIV tag is helpful to allow the specific media types and set of character set such as Text, html, etc. In the different languages, the HTTP has different default character set to display the page correctly in all browsers.

What is SEO?

SEO states for Search Engine Optimization, it is a practice to increase the quality of website through the organic result of search engine. The SEO is also the quality of traffic to any websiteof client. In this quality of traffic, the website attracts the visitors from overall world but it should be directly searched by visitors. The high number of traffic is better for the website, if the right people click through the search engine (Park and Brenza, 2015). In this definition, the organic results means the websiteowner need not to pay more for this traffic. So, the SEO is helpful to increase the quantity and quality of traffic of website and provide organic results. In this, the organic search traffic contains unpaid traffic from SERPs.
