With regard to digital records, we currently will accept the early transfer of the records of Inquiries, significant Inquests and other Public Record Bodies that are closing. In this concern, there are some steps that can be adapted to transfer the digital information to the web-based corporation wiki. These steps are defined below:

Step1. Strategy development

Data migration is a highly strategic process. Before the implementation phase, be sure to solidify the business objectives that your migration project will facilitate.

Step2. Assessment and analysis

Once you’ve developed your data migration strategy, the next step is to start assessing the content you have.

Step3. Preparation

During this phase of your migration, you can start digitizing the rest of your paper-based content. By ingesting all your paper content before you begin the next phase of your migration project, you kill two birds with one stone: going forward, your team will never have to waste time leafing through file folders again.

Step4. Classification and extraction

In this step, you can begin sorting your content into the categories in which you want it to be migrated. Now that your content is high-quality and useable—and is no longer just an unknown group of files—you can start routing it into the right buckets.

Step5. Validation and staging

Although the whole process of a data migration should be iterative, this is the step in which it’s really time to review how the process is working.

Step6. Exportation

Now that you have a clean, well-organized data set to work with, it’s time to transfer it from one content system to another.
