Introduction

In this reflective portfolio guidance here I have used some elements to make my job and work successful. Here are some modules I have used to explain my work. I use mainly two modules here. Those are the Gibbs reflective module (1998) and Kolb, D reflective module (2015). Here are the five elements that I use that are: – in element number one I have analyzed my MBA course on HR management. Here is why I am doing this course, what are the facilities from this course in future, why I am doing this HR management also I have shown whether it is eligible or not. In element number two I have used my Grow model for the coaching route map. In element number three I also gave an idea about action-centered leadership. In element number four I have given the idea about emotional intelligence. Last element I gave an idea about my career development that my MBA course can be useful in the future. Mainly reflection writing refers to what I learned by doing this job or work, what stages did I go through to face it or what I feel for this course or what I was able to learn from this, and how might I apply my learning from this. Below I will discuss the five elements.

Element Coursework

I have taken five elements to explain all details of my MBA course.

Elements 1

I know that the most important and best course for doing MBA in Human Resource Management. So I wanted to do my MBA course on Human resource management. MBA is the most specific and popular course in postgraduate. This is why I completed Btech in bachelor’s degree with a good result. Also, I have cleared the CAT entrance exam. From the beginning, the main focus was doing MBA on hr management. The criteria for being an HR that exists in me. The main criteria of HR are well communication skills, good relationship building, must resilience, dealing with compressibility, and must be innovation, understanding all situations and also integrity, and multi-tasking skills, need convincing skills, also need all problems solving skills and organizational skills. These are the criteria for being an HR that exists in me. That is why I applied for MBA. Also, I had to prepare a lot for my MBA course. What are management processes and how to organize all, individual behavior in an organization, accounting and finance handling, know the business environment, etc. I have gained a lot by gaining knowledge about all these subjects. I know that HR has enough responsibility for the companies. The most futuristic scope of today is MBA on hr management. That is why millions of jobs are found. There have many roles of HR management related like as HR manager talent acquisition which is very good for an hr manager to be responsible for planning developing the company and talent of acquisition process and strategies (Ekström et al.,2022).

Also, HR manager compliance refers to all the companies and also ensures that the company goes on legal standard and house policies. The other role of this is to HR professor which role is to be part of the education to the students of HR in the colleges or any institution. The pay scale is high enough for all the above-mentioned HR posts. There are also many private or govt. companies or sectors that recruit the most of the MBA in HR (Liang 2021).

The best top recruiters are reliance, KPMG, Wipro, Infosys, Larsen and Turbo, L’Oreal, MakeMyTrip, PepsiCo, Aditya Birla Group, Deutsche bank, etc that hire MBA in hr management. Among these, I want to work in the Wipro sector because I like the company. I searched for details about this company. The criteria that are given in this sector I think I am quite eligible for this post. In the HR post, the average salary of this post is INR 6.9 lakh according to the pay scale. So there is a huge future scope for this particular course. Also, I have enough qualities of what an HR needs. After discussing all the above I think the HR management course is good enough for the career for doing an MBA (Fang et al., 2022).

Element 2

In this element two here I am focused on the assessment of coaching. Coaching is unlocking my potential to maximize my performance. It is helping me to learn things rather than teaching to anyone else. Coaching is focusing on my future possibilities not I had done a past mistake. A coach is thinking of his people in terms of potential not my performance. In this HR management course, I have some key coaching skills. In this position, I need some extra skills for this. Here as an HR manager, I have to have the skill to have a good relationship with everyone in the sector. Also, I have to have the skill of listening to everyone. Also, keep me open and honest from the inside. Doing so will increase my skills and self-satisfaction. Besides, I have to have the ability to think that I can learn a lot from everyone and this desire to learn must be within me. Also always ask me in terms of any work-related. It is very needed to have self-correction. Coachees develop the ability to monitor and correct their performance independently of the coach. Also need to self-generation skill which is development continues beyond the coaching engagement. If I had all these desires and goals I would be eligible for an HR management position (KOMIYA, 2022).

Also, I have used a coaching route map in this element. Which is represents the GROW module. The Grow model is indicated G for goal, R for reality, O for options, and lastly W for will. Here I want to say that actually what was my main goal to do my MBA in hr management. My main goal was to get myself a well established in a well-reputed company or a sector by doing this course. Because I know that this HR has a special role in any company or sector. For this reason, I have to find a better position by making myself better. This is the different level of goals depending on how far in the future I am looking.it identifies the inspirational goal to drive success and keep energy and motivation high. So an HR should keep its own goal most stable. Next R stands for reality which is discussing the current situation and what barriers currently exist between now and my achievement of the goal. In this stage, I have to take my steps slowly and carefully enough. All the information and procedures of my related management position at this stage (Wu et al.,2021).

Element 3

Next are options which is explores the options for moving forward. Any work should always be at an alternative stage or plan. So it is very important to have a mutual understanding between coach and coachee. I should knowledge of what extra stages or processes are left or need to be done for HR management. And the last one is the will which is agreeing with the specific actions and timeframe and setting accountability and reporting. At this stage, all discussions can usually conclude. In this stage, I decide what action will be taken. There is some coaching trap that should always be avoided.

In this element, I have explained the leadership of HR management of a company or a sector. Leadership plays an important role in any company. Everyone wants to be the leader in the company. Two types of perspectives are discussed here. One is the external perspective and internal perspective. Action-centered leadership falls into the external perspective and authentic leadership falls into the internal perspective (Michael et al., 2019).

 

Action center leadership is a very important leadership for any sector or a company. This leadership is divided into three parts. Those are task, team, and individuals. Any HR management has to work very well in these three parts of leadership. To fulfill any task just as I need my co-operation so do the other team members of a sector or company. Sometimes to take any decision or any action I was an HR manager had to decide this immediately (Rivera et al., 2021).

Again when it comes to any large-scale decision or action of the company then all the team members have to be taken the decision. Team leadership refers to the work is done at a group level. Where members of each group encourage and support each other. In team leadership, there is a problem arrived. That is if anyone in the team or group does something wrong the responsibility falls on the whole group or team members. As a result, the work of the group or their morale is damaged. For this reason, if any leader of the team does not explain the main goal of the work then there is a lot of difficulties arrived (Škrinjarić and Šego 2019).

Another important leadership is authentic. Authentic leadership is those who behave honestly and consistently. This leadership again has three viewpoints by which its concept is understood. These are intrapersonal, developmental, and interpersonal. Each leader has a responsibility to make their company or sector better developed. Intrapersonal leadership is to do with what is going on with the leader. Besides this, the leader must be self-aware, have self-regulation, self-concept. Also leading from the judgment, also not copies from others. Developmental leadership is referred to do with how a management leader develops their company over time. The main goal of any leadership is to learn and understand the entire task quickly. Lastly, interpersonal leadership refers to those who inspire others to work harder and more to enable them. Most of the effective leaders who create the strategy think from the outside in. but the good interpersonal leaders take an inside out way to the people. In this leadership, leaders affect followers and followers affect leaders. It is a reciprocal process. Leadership plays an important role in any company. Everyone wants to be the leader in the company (Villamil and Hallstedt 2021).

As I have completed MBA in HR management so my main objective is to establish myself as an HR manager in a well establish company. Also this MBA course has helped me a lot in my career. I know that HR has enough responsibility for the companies. The most futuristic scope of today is MBA on hr management. That is why millions of jobs are found. There have many roles of HR management related like as HR manager talent acquisition which is very good for an hr manager to be responsible for planning developing the company and talent of acquisition process and strategies. I want to work in the Wipro, Infosys, and Larsen sectors because I like these companies. I searched for details about theses companies. The criteria that are given in this sectors I think I am quite eligible for this post. Such sectors have come up with their technological advancements and more innovations in these sectors so I am quite attracted to work in these sectors. Also my monthly salary would be significantly better than other sectors as an HR manager in theses sectors. For the next five years I would love to see myself as a well known reputed HR manager in this type of companies. And in my management I would like to take my company on the path to more rapid success. Once these five years goals are met, my next career goal will be to increase my knowledge and skills in this subject. Also I would like to take post graduation course to study on HR management. And later on, as my skills and knowledge increase, I will expand myself in the international market and try to get myself employed in a interational well reputed company there.

Element 4

The inventories in various career interests have the base of understanding the psychology of a person in choosing a particular career. Very frequently, the interests of these inventories are been utilized in the various analysis of the career. For me, to choose a particular career option like Human resource management study in MBA, the EI or emotional intelligence is the system or process about the aptitude, management, and proper understanding of my emotions in a positive manner. These methods that I adopt will be helpful in all career-related stress management, support communication with others effectively, and identify with other people.

Emotional intelligence as an input to the leadership expertise

The process known as Emotional intelligence has become a key for the leadership approach as far as I am concerned. Through this, the people are attracted naturally towards the leader, the leaders who carry a perception that is firm, full of self-awareness, and has the power and the willingness of finding and taking responsibilities.

The EI competencies

The four main areas of EI or emotional intelligence are self-awareness and social awareness. Including relationship management social management. These four domains are helpful for the leader to face and solve many stress and crisis and they also have fewer emotional reactions in a particular situation.

Self-awareness:- The self-awareness concept for me will include all my emotions and understanding of a particular situation of career choice like my conclusions from my HRM studies. Like why do I want to choose a particular career or vocational career for the future? And what will be the consequences of this? This process will also elaborate on the process of self-appraisal and its accuracy related to me. This will also add my confidence level about some situations and conditions.

Self-management:- the MBA classes of HRM or Human resource management has taught me the process of self-management. This is a method that agrees to increase my productivity level. This also helps my efficiency and performance in an organization. The self-management process includes those emotions which will give me the power to control myself in some particular situations. This will also add to the simplicity of my character and optimistic thought process. the system of self-management also teaches me to have the power of adopting any particular method or thought process of leading. It also shows the directions and initiatives of achieving my goals of leadership.

 

Relationship management:- In my MBA hrm studies I have also learned the process of managing every relationship in an organization. The process includes developing the relation with others as a leader and having leadership in such a way that will inspire and influence others. As a leader, I also should have the understanding to reduce the circumstances of various conflicts and issues inside the organization. This positivism will also help me to have perfect collaborations and teamwork managing skills with the employees and workers inside and with the other organization outside as a leader.

Social awareness: – I have also learned about the causes, methods, and results of my awareness related to my organization and the society around me to enhance my skills of perfect leadership. I should have a proper understanding and maintenance of social and organizational ethics.

Element 5

As an optimistic student, I have chosen the Human Resources Management subject in my MBA classes. This study has helped me to get a job in HR. For this, as a professional experience, I have worked 3 years in an organization. I also pursue a relevant Bachelor’s degree from a reputed university. I took on every responsibility related to my studies and job.

I also pursue all those qualities related to me in this study which are the key to growth. I have proper communication skills and well-managed relation with everyone in and outside of the organization. My level of work and related schedule is always flexible and I also have the power to have a proper transaction with various complex conditions. My workplace and classes are always enhanced with my various innovative ideas and my significant relevant understandings.

Kolb’s learning process: – Here, Kolb’s learning process in my MBA classes has described my concrete or the existing experience about the classes and that reflective surveillance. It also mentions the conceptualization of the theory and the experiment which are active.

Reflective Practice and KolbsModel:- the teaching which I got from my learning experience provides a relevant reflective practice” is the aptitude to replicate my actions in many of the critical conditions which will be in the continuity of adapting and learning. In this reflective practice if I apply the Kolbs model I will find the leadership in judgment, narrative, analysis with the conclusion, and my future relevant action plan. The perfect reflective practice will have three questions to answer like what? Which will relate to the facts and feelings? The other question is What have I learned from the thing that has happened? And at last, how will I apply this in my overall learning process?

In my overall learning process, I have found that methods of identifying myself through various aspects are the steps of “career interest inventory”. In this process, three main segments are to be determined the leadership skill, the coaching process, and emotional intelligence.

Reflection of significance and capability in Coaching

The process of coaching has a target to bring significant improvements in the level of performance. It is the system of releasing a person’s capabilities to a maximum level. The process is more of learning. This process also provides the methods of making corrections and reproduction related to the identity.

The coach and the coachee: – in the coaching procedure as a coach I should at first have to maintain rapport and good relations with the coachee. I should also be a good listener and should be able to listen to the quarries and ideas of students carefully and always should be ready with the appreciation and words of answer. I also should be able to give proper feedback to the coachee’s performance. And as a coachee, I should always be open to listening and question and the questions should be to the coach and myself.

The coaching route Map: – In the appropriate category of coaching I have learned about the GROW model. This is the construction that has the main points of a coaching session which will be very effective. This helps the clients to find their relevant goals and work on them. The main parts of the GROW model are the goal of the work and the related reality with the various options and the willpower to achieve it.

In the way to make it simple among the various reflective practices, part is known as “coaching” that makes the study experience better and also provides a better work profile. The proper coaching makes the whole understanding system very easy to grasp for everyone

The GROW coaching framework also goes through many experiences of learning like the insight of the overall learning and the concept of choosing some particular model of learning and perusing the particular learning process. The GROW framework also has taught me various new aspects of pursuing an MBA.

Reflection of importance and capability in Leadership

The point known as leadership is a style or approach of managing a team or group of people perfectly and systematically. This can be based on an individual or a particular team. It is a process of influencing the overall society. The proper leadership takes all those efforts that are needed to achieve the goal or target of a particular team. In a process of leadership, the leader makes followers. The leaders develop and grow as the times passés. They also become influenced will the major changes that ate happening around and they are also responsible to bring new changes. In the study that I am pursuing, I have learned better leadership approaches.

I found that proper leadership is also very much supportive to get the target of career interest inventory. Leadership can be defined in two different segments the internal well as external.

The external Viewpoint:- In the external part, the leadership is measured as the leadership with action in the core. These types of leadership are based on the team and its task with its relation to the individual. Here, the task shows the performance I do to get the target achieved. The team refers to the action of a particular group which also means teamwork. The unique needs of the team members related to the said action refer to the individual part of the external viewpoint of the leadership.

Authentic leadership: – this is the internal viewpoint of leadership. This kind of leadership is of three main segments the interpersonal, intrapersonal, and developmental. Interpersonal leadership is related to the encouragement for work which enables me to do the work with the best efforts. Leadership which is known as developmental is a kind of process which provides various workers with skills and understanding about the work and those prospects of change and growth with effectiveness. On the other hand, intrapersonal leadership is related directly to the leader with the perception of self-guidance.

The prospective Emotional Intelligence and Leadership

My emotional intelligence will guide me to the perfectness of leadership. In an organization of class of study, emotional intelligence is measured through the capabilities and powers to appreciate utilize and have proper management of my emotions positively. This will always help reduce the level of all stress and will also help to have better communication with others. This will also help me to mitigate many of the work and study-related troubles. This will also help me to understand the emotions of others around me in class as well as the workplace.

The Competencies of EI:- There are four middle competencies of the EI or the emotional intelligence. The first one is self-awareness. It refers to my all self-assessment process. Like the understanding of me, questioning to myself on some related personal or professional issues. It will also put some regulation on me on taking some work or class-related decisions. the part is social awareness. This will enhance all society-related responsibilities based on my study and work culture. The next part is self-management. In this, I will learn and do all those tasks which will control my all emotions, my innovative ideas, and my power of integrating all of these segments. The last part is of the management of relations with all people in and outside the organization and class of study. My EI in leadership will also be helpful mitigate many work and study-related problems and influence others with my work.

Future growth plan in a career interest inventory 

In the future of growth in pursued studies will include the scenery of my goals and targets. Prioritizing the goals that are been set and finding the cut-off date to achieve the goals. I should also check various opportunities in selecting a career and also study the relevant threats in that. I have to develop and grow all those goals inside me which will help to reach the goals. The routine and compassionate supports and networks should also be decided by me. In my pursuit of a proper HRM study, I should also learn from various other people’s experiences and gain. My studies should also be based on various work and study-related myths which I will follow to get success. Self-awareness and motivation will also be my study material as they will give practical understandings towards the career and future progress stair.

In an overall process of study, I will also learn and earn various other positive and negative experiences which I will implement in my career and life for a long time.

Conclusion

The inventory of career options is of many as per the current world. As there are many career options I find difficulties about what to choose and how? In this way, I have got better ideas and growth plans in my chosen study of MBA in HR. The study has supported me with the proper career management skills and their roots.

In a process of studies and classes, I find that proper coaching is very much important. There should be the best relation between the coach and coachee. Both sides should be able to ask, listen and answer.

Proper leadership and emotional intelligence or guidance are also required in this. Without a proper and balanced emotion, no work or study can be fulfilled or completed well. In this way, self-management is a must for success. Self-management means various aspects of understanding situations and problems related to them.

In my selected workplace I want to add all the positivism and particulars I have learned from my MBA classes. More creative and active performances are needed to add in the workplace to get better success and prospects of growth with conviction.
