One person should have a specific goal and a proper planning process to execute that in time. In the IT sector, employees are the most important person to run a business effectively. One person has to focus on improving their skills and knowledge and keep them updated in a continuous process to get his desired post in a company (Reyad et al. 2020). I am a B.TECH student and I am focusing on improving my decision making and critical thinking process which help me to achieve success in my personal and professional career. These are some basic skills which are necessary to get a job in a well-known company.

  • To improve my decision-making skills (Mahrinasari et al. 2021).
  • To get knowledge about different leadership processes and their implementation in different situations (Al Khajeh, 2018).

In the IT sector, most organisations are recruiting those employees who have acquired such skills. These skills help me to get my desired job as well as improve my organisational performance.

Vision

  • I have to research different types of journals and case studies to get knowledge about those leadership skills.
  • I have to take proper training sessions to improve my decision-making skills (Xu et al. 2021).
  • I also focus on getting training to improve my problem-solving mindset (Arieli and Sagiv, 2018).

This training and development process help me to improve these skills. However, one should have to focus on developing a proper planning process and set specific goals in their life to achieve success in their personal and professional life.

I have found some specific goals that I need to achieve in order to improve my professional skills. Some of the skills and knowledge also have to improve in the path of achieving those skills. However, I have an interest in cricket that helps me to maintain the attitude of never giving up on my goals and a sportsmanship spirit which help me to acquire those skills in the meantime. After my B.Tech course, I am focusing on having different internships at different posts which help me to gain experience in my professional career. This also helps me to understand the work culture and work environment of different companies (Siddiqi and Tangem, 2018). Through those internships, I am also able to know about the different technologies that have been used in most of the organisations and their management support to their employees.

Therefore, After 3 years of B.TECH, improving those skills effectively will provide me advantages in the case of getting several opportunities. Apart from this, in the IT sector, experience plays an important role and one individual gets the preference of the interviewer and the management team of those companies who have proper knowledge of working in an IT company or that particular post (Jeevitha, 2020). After gaining experience from those internships, I am able to know about the demands of those IT companies and use my experience to crack the interview process of the renowned companies. This process will help me to get a proper job and improve my future career development. However, through working in those companies I will also be able to improve my professional skills and lead my teammates.

·External engagement experience

In the career planning and development process, one should have to focus on the experience of the external engagement process. This process helps an individual to get information about the various working processes of different organisations and the responsibilities of different posts. In this case, I have consulted with several employees who have worked in this IT sector to gather data and knowledge about their job roles and the development of different organisational businesses. This external engagement provides information about those renowned companies and their strategies to achieve their success (Sacre et al. 2020). However, there are some companies that have their personal websites and they provide information about their companies along with their vacancy period. This can help an individual to apply for those posts and focus on acquiring skills to get the job in that company. However, I have focused on having information on those various companies and also continuous development of skills through proper training and self-development process. This helps me to keep updated about the demands of those companies and new skills that are the trending requirements of those companies.

However, in my internships, I have improved my decision-making skills and gotten information about the work environment of a company. However, I have an interest in Cricket and this is the reason behind my successful coordination with my teammates. Other than this, I have done several projects and assignments in my education which provide me with the benefits of performing those organizational projects and maintaining the quality of those projects. However, I face some issues such as communication as there are employees from different backgrounds and I am not that familiar with technologies (Shahin, 2019). In this scenario, the hierarchy and the management team are very supportive to me and other employees which surprise me in some cases. They were so supportive and motivate employees to improve their organizational performance. Therefore, I have won a cricket tournament and a ROBO race that makes me enthusiastic to achieve my goals which help me to maintain continuous development in my organisational career. This experience excites me to perform more efficiently and improve my skill set. I have noticed that employees are trying to develop their knowledge and skills to get advantages in getting a job and they are trying to perform their projects. The employees have different characteristics and it also impacts their organisational performance.

Most of the organisations in the IT sector are focusing on getting skilled employees in their business process. Skilled employees are able to complete those projects in the meantime which provide advantages to the organisational business to complete their goals in time. Those employees have knowledge about those advanced technologies which are able to improve organisational performance as well as boost their own self-development process (Alnoor et al. 2020). There are employees who are very supportive to me and some of them are introverts in the organisational process which affect the group project and I need to put much effort into this process. In this scenario, I need to take some different steps such as researching on company background which will help me to get the information about those companies and their working procedure to maintain their performance in this market scenario.

These theories help me to implement these leadership skills effectively and improve my organisational performance and the performance of other employees effectively.

Problem-solving mindset In the case of improving my problem-solving mindset, I am focusing on having training sessions. Moreover, I have proper adaptation skills which can help me to improve these skills effectively in a short period of time. I also have to focus on the self-development process which helps me to acquire this skill in the meantime. These skills help me to find an effective solution or develop strategies to perform a particular task effectively and I am also able to mitigate sudden problematic situations to maintain my performance (Arieli and Sagiv, 2018).

Knowledge about advanced technologies Advanced technologies are the first preference of most organisations to improve their business process and I need to have proper knowledge about it through consulting with several technical teams. I also have to research journals to understand the usage of those technologies. These technologies help me to boost my organisational performance and I am able to outshine in several tasks. This knowledge also provides me advantages to crack several interviews and get a job in a well-known company.

In the case of improving the opportunities and advantages of getting the desired job in the IT sector’s famous organisation, I need to improve some of the skills and get knowledge about them. There are effective leadership skills, decision-making process, problem-solving mindset and information on several advanced technologies. In the IT sector, one should be capable of these things to perform organisational tasks and maintain the quality of their projects. I have done several major and minor projects such as “HOME AUTOMATION USING RFID MODULE” and “MEDICINE SUGGESTER USING MACHINE LEARNING” in my educational life that is why I have some knowledge about different types of technologies and their handling process. Apart from this, I have leadership and adaptability skills which are beneficial for improving these skills and acquiring new skills for future career development (Katsarosv et al. 2020). Moreover, I love to take responsibility and guide my team through proper leadership skills and the knowledge of those technologies help me to understand the proper implementation skill of those different leadership techniques to improve the performance of other employees and maintain their efficiency. I am looking after different training procedures and researching several journals and case studies by which I am able to acquire this skill.

On the other hand, I am focusing on having training sessions to adapt the problem-solving skills to improve my organisation skills and there is no chance of having issues and risk factors which may affect my organisational performance. Though it takes almost 1 or 2 months to acquire these skills and knowledge I am a quick learner and I think I can easily develop these skills to out sign in my organisational projects and get preference of my hierarchy. However, to get information about the knowledge about those advanced technologies from different technical teams. In this case, I can easily have a proper engagement process with those employees (Khan et al. 2018). I have sufficient communication skills to get information and the handling process of those technologies. Rather than this, I also have to research those technologies to get knowledge about their advantages and related issues and challenges. On the other hand, I need to take training and development sessions to improve my decision-making skills. Without having effective decision-making skills no one is able to handle sudden problematic situations. This is the reason I need to improve these skills by which I am able to improve my organisational performance and mitigate the chance of having errors and sudden problematic situations. These improvements of skills will help me to get a job in my desired post at a well-known company and also improve my skill set in the career development process.
