The following essay will outline the importance of knowledge management in the case of Sainsbury and how it impacts the performance of the company.

Importance of Knowledge Management in organizations

The primary goal of this process is to work towards increasing the efficiency of the employees working within the organization. As argued by Cillo et al. (2020), the ability to have information easily and use it when required also works towards increasing the productivity of the organization as a whole and retaining “critical information” within the company. The concept of knowledge management aims to provide clarity on all kinds of information that is available and how it can be utilized by the employees within an organization to aid in its growth.
