ASSIGNMENT SAMPLE ON DMX1030/5 INDIAN HIDDEN CURRICULUM

Introduction

India is considered as a developed country where education has become advanced due to the involvement of the experts of this country who try to develop this country much more than before. Although India is a developed country, there is also a need to improve this country to compete with the other countries of the world and represent it as a well known country for its every purpose like study, exercise, and other  curriculum activities. It is very much needed for the country and it so much depends on the students of the country as the the future of this country. There are some historical aspects of the curriculum which needs to be known by the students to gain the knowledge and its importance so that they can involve themselves in the development process (BAJAJ, 2018). As this paper is totally about the hidden curriculum of India, it must include the profession of teachers to develop the curriculum of the students. Because teachers have the main important role to teach the students proper things which has the ability to make them more efficient in educational as well as personal life (Cleophas, 2021). These are the main needs of all the students as they also try to gain sufficient knowledge to strengthen their hidden curriculum. The hidden curriculum mainly consists of the things which can forward the study process of students by giving the attendance in their institutions or schools. Sometimes it works within the subconscious level of mind. So, when it is realized by the students that they are influenced by this, they feel very happy to achieve something good. There are some theories about the hidden curriculum and they have lots of applications also. So, it has the ability to develop the country. Hidden curriculum has a lot of importance in secondary schools of India to grow the skills of the students (Mheta  et al. 2018). So, the practices of the hidden curriculum are very much developed in India to advance the career of the students and also advance this country. Here the gender role is also discussed in this paper for the hidden curriculum. So, these points are basically chosen to discuss the hidden curriculum of India to develop the purpose of the paper.

Discussion

Professionalism of teacher and hidden curriculum activities for students

Hidden curriculum are the factors which can be achieved by the students from their education palace, hidden curriculum reflects the notifications of communications which are usually served by the organizations and the schooling operations different from the public and official statements of the mission schools and achieved the guidelines related to curriculum activities of the subject field (Pratt, 2019). There are such examples related to curriculum activities which obtains an informal concept and frequently the thinking is unintentionally within the system of school. Gender is the social expectations, languages, morals and behavior all involved in social expectations. The hidden curriculum helps to upgrade the student’s personality related to their social skills or factors as well their increasing moral values with their growing ages. Some characteristics of hidden curriculum about their values and expectations are frequently replied to by the lessons. The hidden curriculum may represent the dependents of students on different education rules.  Hidden curriculum also has the importance of social features such as the requirements to clarify which is not going to be “oneself” (Snehalatha, 2018).  Curriculum can be achieved by the results which depend on the previous two kinds of curriculum, the implemented and the intended. There is a consideration of products which are based on an achieved curriculum. It might be considered as a learning result, or the product materials such as material of instructions or module and book. Hidden curriculum reflects the communications of messages by the associations and by the school operations from public and official missions of schools, this is the particular way of school operation achievement.

The achievement involves special hidden curriculums of schools which can be usually tauch by the teachers, those factors or curriculums are behavior, values, beliefs and attitudes or athicates. Several curriculum were developed for students to follow and one of the developed curriculum takes place by following the guidelines which is a multi stages procedure, cycling and ongoing phenomenon, the initiation of the process from the existing program evaluation, to improved program designing, to new program implementation and return to extraction of the reviewed program (Ramadas, 2020). Yes, there is a curriculum which is developed for students and those are that the curriculum is the concept of outline which is taught to the students for helping themselves which can meet the standards of contents. The given subject or course is taught in the curriculum which can be achieved later by the students. Curriculum reflects the system of interactive instructions and which learn with the particular aims, strategies, resources, goals and measurements. Teachers are not actually the only responsible persons who are in support of the development of extra curricular activities or the cultural activities. Students themselves and their families are also those persons who are willing to involve themselves in curriculum activities.  So the teachers are involved in the process of developing the curriculum of the students who are the future generation of India and they can develop the culture and other improvements by gaining experience from the hidden curriculum of the activity. As the teachers are the main experts of the school authorities. So, they need to give the proper knowledge of the skills which have the ability to improve the hidden curriculum of the students (Ramadas, 2020). The profession of teachers is giving an important role to develop and maintain the activation of hidden curriculum among students of all schools of the country. All the authorities of the primary and secondary schools of India should inform their teachers to do a session for the students in schools where the teachers are involved to teach students the extra curriculum. Extracurricular activities are those which students learn from school or colleges which are extra activities that differ from educational knowledge. For example if a student is learning dance, singing, swimming, acting, drawing etc. all these factors are called extracurricular activities. When any student is not exactly involved in the scope of daily routine of curriculum, they start involving themselves in other activities except from study materials, the extracurricular activities are related semi officially or officially  permitted and organized usually  the activities of students , outside the college and school curriculum, extracurricular activities involve drama and sports which are the most famous school curriculum activities and this things specially teach by the teachers (Wozolek, 2020). A best example of extra curricular activity is “secretary taking her boss’ kids to the zoo”. Extra curricular activities are crucial for the students at their growing age, this gives a channel which is applied for reinforcing the knowledge and the classroom learnings, the opportunities which students get from their academic strategies in the context of real world and this can be considered as a portion of “well rounded education”. In  a single school, students might learn the attitudes like the rules which are commonly followed, expected ways of acting, and rewarded those non questioning rewards, whereas in different school’s candidates read that private views, initiative takings for the authority of questions  which rewarded and valued behaviors. A quality of curriculum involves the necessity of experts in which they embedded these qualities to curriculum, a quality with high range that shows the students’ empowerment in grabbing lessons and improves their typical thoughts and the skills of conversation (Sonu, and Marri, 2018). Curriculum with higher quality makes the classrooms that support typical analysis of the student’s world. This factor is not possible for teachers because the qualities related to curriculum activities are an adopted factor, this must be adopted by the students, the duty of teachers is only to advise their students about extra curricular activities but cannot possibly involve in the development of that particular student.

So, students become more efficient to think about anything in a different good point of view and represent their answers in a new and advanced way which makes them sufficient to get appreciation from the teachers. The hidden curriculum not only changes the point of view of the students but also it is able to change the life of the students in a good manner which in turn helps the students to grow as a good person. It also helps them to set the goal of their life with an efficient thought and makes them   efficient to see life from a different point of view. As the students of the primary schools are very small and the minds of children are frequently changed in nature so teachers must try to follow the attracting activities which have the ability to catch the attention of the students (Pratt, 2019). So, they need to search about the easy and advanced ways of teaching to give the speech about the skills which develop the hidden curriculum of the students. The teachers also need to do the practical sessions to give the class about the knowledge which in turn improves the curriculum which are hidden in nature. For example, practical sessions in schools also show that the students’ development involves physical skills developments, helpful in the development of social activities, leadership training, moral development , development of emotional factors, cultural values development and most important disciplinary value (Polmear  et al. 2018).  The curriculum activities in practical session reflects to the teachers activities who are supporting their students in improving their skills which even include encouragement of students  towards positive behavior,  make the students prepare in effective strategies and skills,  motivates the students to involve themselves in the activities of learning and make them responsible for their self learnings, make a pleasant and supportive environment that suits different types of students, within the intended culture the society should familiarize himself with the students, trying to understand students attitudes and their students himself, trying to lower down the anxiety level from the students which will further lead the students towards the enhancing criteria of self-confidence (Takab  et al. 2021). The practical session is only based on truth factors which help \to personalize the children themself.  As the children are in  the first stage of their career, teachers need to consider them as the main goal of them to teach the knowledge which develops their hidden curriculum. Children’s needs to accept the activities which develop their hidden curriculum because from a young age they need to prepare them for a better future. The teachers of that particular academy or school provide only knowledge which is related to the extra curricular activities and the disciplines which are provided to the students for upgrading their lifestyle for a better future.  As secondary school students in the middle age, it becomes easier to make them as capable students by properly giving them the speech about the importance of hidden curriculum. But they also need to accept and follow the instructions of their teachers to make them more efficient and develop their career otherwise they may go backward in their career. The students need to present their schools on a daily basis so that they can gain more knowledge from the teachers and experience better things to improve their career. The actual factor of education or the actual policy of education is to educate the new generation for their future. Better future generation will help the country to enhance their position in the world. Education systems set up so many schools in different languages for educating the students in their own comfortable language, without creating any inconvenience in students’ lives. The education system of schools helps to educate the students to learn exact materials which help to grow their career (Halliday, 2022). Actual purpose of education is used to elevate the students to a height where they can become more sufficient to attend any type of work and can lead their life with a unique style and will help the country’s people to enjoy their life.   As the teachers are the main experts of the school authorities. So, they need to give the proper knowledge of the skills which have the ability to improve the hidden curriculum of the students. The general learning and the concept of the students of different schools used to learn with general factors like involving the bookish knowledge as well as the extra curricular activities which help to increase their standard level of learning assumptions which depends on the constructive learning theory, this is mainly developed for students, assumptions of learnings must ignored as much possible at the classroom. Actually, students distort their beliefs related to their stage of educating knowledge and guide incorrectly those teachers who understand the learning of students. Students’ knowledge can be developed by pointing those lessons which are coming through the ways, lectures related to roadmaps, reflective writings, active learning and lessons which helps those students to elevate themselves at a higher standard.  Teachers also appreciate the students who properl;y follows the activities of hidden curriculum because it is the main thing to represent as the conscious human being to develop the culture of India. So, they become enthusiastic to do the hard work and achieve their goal in life. It is a good thing for the students who mainly develop them from the hidden curriculum. Hidden curriculum mainly achieved by the students from their education palace, hidden curriculum reflects the notifications of communications which are usually served by the organizations and the schooling operations different from the public and official statements of the mission schools and achieved the guidelines related to curriculum activities of the subject field. There are such examples related to curriculum activities which obtains an informal concept and frequently the thinking is unintentionally within the system of school. Gender is the social expectations, languages, morals and behavior all involved in social expectations. Curriculum of hidden activities is required to switch characters towards positive factors which show the detailed explanations of the origins hidden curriculum, the history of hidden curriculum reflect its discovery which was done by “philip jackson in his 1968 book entitled life in classrooms”. In a portion related to their requirements for the students to teach the expectations of institutions  of the school.  So, this helps all the primary and secondary students a lot to forward their career in a  new way and with advanced thoughts. So, this basically helps them represent them as a good human being in present life and through their future works influenced by the hidden  curriculum.

Historical aspect of curriculum

The history aspects of the curriculum was started in 1960, the curriculum field and the learnings also became so much historical. The history of curriculum studies is a subset of curriculum activities, during the originated reconceptualization of the studies related to curriculum activities and the revisionism of debates within the studies and the education histories. The history of curriculum includes the principles which are presentation, preparation, application, systemization and association.  There are few aspects of curriculum where there is absence of consensus between the scientists on the compounds of curriculum activities, but few usual points of concerning views that the issues include objectives, subject matter or content, learning or methods of evaluation and experiences. The importance of history in the hidden curriculum refers to the learners and the guidance to look at the trends and the phenomenon at the border of knowledge. Any kind of curriculum obtains various elements like objectives, time, attitudes, teachers and students (Cleophas, 2021). They require analysis, in the  activities of the classroom, skills of material studies, skills of languages, assessment and grammar and vocabulary. The curriculum activities refers to the teachers activities who are supporting their students in improving their skills which even include encouragement of students  towards positive behavior,  make the students prepare in effective strategies and skills,  motivates the students to involve themselves in the activities of learning and make them responsible for their self learnings, make a pleasant and supportive environment that suits different types of students, within the intended culture the society should familiarize himself with the students, trying to understand students attitudes and their students himself, trying to lower down the anxiety level from the students which will further lead the students towards the enhancing criteria of self-confidence. The predominant trends are previously identified by the period of academic field and was show the outcome of educational theory which is required for the utilization of students currently improved the knowledge related to scientific characters which creates decisions related to the missions of school and the curriculum content whereas the perspective of curriculum, are influenced the theories of in few crucial methods.   For example the development of a publishing organization in  a developing country India, the organization who are the head of book publications is NCERT, national council of educational research and training, they are the organization with autonomous characters and which can be maintained by the government of India and NCERT was established in 1961. This was established as a literary, charitable and scientific society “under the act of societies registration”.  From the experiments of previous experts like those who attend the researches related to hidden curriculum, they set a motto to develop the extracurricular of the students which later help to enhance the level of the country.   History of hidden curriculum was involved to organize a discussion about the issues of the education of the schools so that it must be reduced by the proper and advanced knowledge. The ministry of government of the developing country India solved the history of education in the year of 1961 on 27th of july to build the organization NCERT or the national council of education research and training, which aws operated from first september 1961. Previous education system was little ineffective in India but nowadays the education system in India is proceeding rapidly towards the upgradation by either focusing on educational material or by extra curricular activities. More prominent education will help to enhance the students’ mentality for the upcoming future. This education policy and hidden curriculum activities or extracurricular activities for the socialization of hidden structure can contribute those factors for the country. The examples of epistemological assumption are all related to the factors that are able to be known. It can be taken for granted that learning is related to leadership and will be a better thing, and wrong and right methods to proceed for doing it for students’ future activities.  So, “the learner and also the learning process has become developed from the past few years like 1965 to till now”. From the past few years people mainly experts are involved in various programmes of the educational institutes to give the speech about the importance of curriculum among the teachers and students because teachers are mainly involved to give the proper knowledge of curriculum. According to the decision of the experts, the students were instructed by the school authorities to attend the curriculum programmes so that they are able to construct their knowledge appropriately by gaining the knowledge from the different skills of the curriculum which are given by the teachers or experts of the organizations. The students are also involved in the process of giving active participation to develop the curricular skills in various stages of the education. In the year 2005, the organization NCERT  or national council of education research and training involved themselves in the organized communications where the discussion of national council of education research and training dealt with the secondary education of children or educating students of the schools which is decided and happened that the education of arts and the education of science or the education of commerce are the beneficial factors for the students as well for the country. The education of health is also important for the students, this study or education is important for the students to maintain their active lifestyle, perfect health of a student will help them to involve himself with the subject curriculums to improve the programs or characteristics of the secondary education schemes and also involve the optimal and elementary subject are notified in the phenomenal method (Adkoli and Parija, 2020). It was also a way to encourage students by this process to develop their knowledge and improve their skills. That programme also discussed the pedagogy and the objectives of the subjects of this curriculum. So, it helps today’s education to develop it in a new way and make it more advanced in nature. It recommends that the learner assessment should make the integral part in the school life achieve their target and knowledge of education (Di Stefano et al. 2018). It also discussed the essential systematic reforms consisting of “teacher education reform” and examination reforms to achieve the goal of school education. The reformation is related to teachers’ education which actually helps the education system to change and improve their way of educating people or students  and this can improve practicing, teaching and will develop the student’s performances (Singh  et al. 2020). The education reforms are designed to raise the education quality which involves three types of factors which includes rules dealing, resources involvement, incentives concerns. The education of teacher reform includes  the specific subject hired through universities and colleges, reforms of teachers involve targeted urban background, need teaching the urban students, teachers reward urban students, changes involve virtually learning options, administrations of continued classroom learnings.  It was also focused on the environment of the schools because this is an important part of education to help the proper growth of the students. So, the curriculum  is mainly able to give priority to the education system of the country and makes it more efficient day by day.

Theories behind hidden curriculum and their applications

There are some theorists like hidden curriculum theory which is a term that explains thne frequently undescribed acknowledgements and improper articulate materials that are teach by within the education are like schools or colleges and this can be affected by their experience of learning. This can be not spoken before and the lessons implied i snot related to the courses of academic features or studies, academic courses can be taken and learned simply inside the schools. Another theory  behind hidden curriculum is John Dewey’s  theory of curriculum which must be exact to the lives of students. The researcher John Dewey  saw the learnings through attending the research and improvement of the practical skills of life  as an important factor for the education of children or students.  Those who are involved in the theories behind the hidden curriculum and also it has some applications to develop the education of students and make them efficient in all purposes to improve them as good people. It can change their life after achieving the knowledge of the hidden curriculum properly and represent it in their study as well as other work of life. So, it mainly involves students to improve their present and future career. The theories are hidden curriculum theory and the  experts theory like John Dewey’s theory mentioned  the learnings through attending the research and improvement of the practical skills of life  as an important factor for the education of children or students which will give further outcomes to the nation. So teachers need to follow the theories of hidden curriculum appropriately and then give it to the students. Besides this students need to attend the classes to gain the knowledge and develop themselves. The students who are pursuing higher education  also need to develop themselves as good students and also human beings by gaining more knowledge about the theories of hidden curriculum because they are in the high stage of education to develop their career (Sharma et al. 2019). It improves their capability of hard work and responsibility so that they can try from themselves to improve their career.

It is very important as they are the future of the country and this is the main reason for this theory to give the basic attention to the school students to develop the hidden curriculum activities among them (Zhang et al.  2019). As per a few experiments or researches on schools and colleges, related to the study of children or students, schools focus on conducting campaigns of knowledge for the students who are willing to educate themselves or showing their interests towards their studies as well as on their extracurricular activities or the hidden curriculum activities which helps them to improve their personality and education.  of the students so that they can show their interest to achieve the knowledges about the hidden curriculum as this theory mainly focused on the generation of critical knowledges among both the primary and secondary students of the schools are becoming the active members of the school area who have a potential to educate themselves by grabbing few types of functions and the kinds of programs which are obtained by the socio-political community. The governmental reviews for the students and teachers are almost equal and this good as well as bad reviews can be decided by the whole government system for the better future development of students and their country.  According to these theorists, schools must provide the social skills to the students so that they become hopeful and can give their active participation in the community. According to the theory of the Apple schools, apple schools are explained as the leadership centers and the excellence of education which identifies the vision of apple for the learning of technologies and people believe that apple schools are the “most innovative schools in the world” (Halliday, 2022.). The hidden curriculum has the potential to have a beneficial influence on students’ careers and to transform their thinking in a favorable way. As a result, students become more efficient in their ability to think about everything from a fresh perspective and to deliver their responses in a new and sophisticated manner, allowing them to receive praise from their professors. The hidden curriculum not only alters students’ perspectives, but it also alters their lives in positive ways, allowing them to mature as individuals. It also enables individuals to create a life goal with an efficient mindset and to perceive life from a more efficient perspective. All the different theories like hidden curriculum theories and John Dewey’s theory ‘s main motive is to educate the students with educational qualifications with degree and also want to enhance their educational stability related to the extra curricular activities, extra curricular activities involved in developing their personal skills excluding bookish knowledge (Nyamai, 2021). The applications of hidden curriculum activities are the concepts which informally and frequently educate the students who are taking training from their teachers, activities include sports, languages, morals and behaviors and these examples of theories are settled as per the views of society and researches. All these theories have the application in the growth of the students so that they are able to develop them and advance  their future. These theories are also applicable for the higher education of the students of the organizations so that they can able to continue their study with different points of view as the hidden curriculum makes them more hardworking and responsible in the career to make them more efficient.

Importance of hidden curriculum in secondary school in India

There is a lot of importance of the hidden curriculum in the secondary schools of India. As secondary school students are more focused about their studies to prepare them for higher studies, they need to gain the knowledge of hidden curriculum to make their career more advanced. Students from their schools are mostly responsible for completing the hidden curriculum. As a result, instructors are participating in the process of constructing the curriculum for kids who will be India’s future generation, and they may promote culture and other changes by learning from the activity’s hidden curriculum. Teachers are the most knowledgeable members of the school administration (Govender et al. 2018). As a result, they must provide sufficient training in abilities that might help pupils enhance their concealed curriculum. Teachers have a vital role in developing and maintaining the activation of hidden curriculum among pupils in all of the country’s schools.  Secondary school teachers also attempt to create a session in which only items or information are spoken in order to improve the pupils’ hidden curriculum. As secondary school students approach middle age, it becomes simpler to mold them into capable students by effectively delivering a speech on the value of concealed curriculum (Smith et al. 2018).

Practise of hidden curriculum in India

India is already a developed country. So, it is clear that the practice of hidden curriculum is continuing from past years in India. The practices of the hidden curriculum in India are very advanced nowadays and it consists of different new methods or knowledge to develop the skills of the students. The Indian government is also involved in the process of practicing hidden curriculum in research organizations and schools as the researchers are the main experts who are involved to improve the processes of hidden curriculum. The experts of the government authority discuss the importance of the hidden curriculum so that it can be implemented in the education of the students of both primary and secondary schools. The hidden curriculum is defined as a lesson that goes beyond the material of the course to teach students about the subject’s ideas. So, this curriculum has some creativity in it which can give a better idea of improvement of knowledge than the only study materials. As a result, professionals are enlisted to create a concealed curriculum using modern and new techniques that have the power to pique students’ interest in acquiring skills that will help them grow their careers (Shehzad et al. 2020). The pupils may learn all of the beneficial attributes such as hard effort, humility, gratitude, and obligation through the hidden curriculum. The practices of hidden curriculum mainly give ideas which can not be achieved from the books or from the study because it is an experience of knowledge of the students. So, the schools are  the main center point of education, the practices of hidden curriculum developed through the teachers to develop the overall skills of the students. There are  some research organizations also involved in the process of practicing hidden curriculum so that it can be more improved by the experts and for the further development of the hidden curriculum. So, both the government and school authorities are trying to expand the practices of hidden curriculum among the experts and students of the country. As the experts can improve the skills or knowledge of the hidden curriculum so it is practiced by them in famous organizations, like childhood education international. Besides this, it is practiced by both the primary and secondary school students because they are the future generation of the country who has the responsibility to represent this country as a highly educated and advanced country of the world. This practice of the hidden curriculum makes the students responsible citizens of the country and helps them to do something good for the country by their hard work which in turn helps to get them appreciation from the people (Reddy and Pathak, 2021). Moreover this practice can represent expert human beings of a country who can develop the country in a new dimension.
Gender role and Hidden curriculum

The hidden curriculum mainly refers to the norms, behaviors, or values which are learned by the students from the schools. In addition, they are responsible to gain the knowledge from the school authority to improve their hidden curriculum. Gender is considered as the major element in the hidden curriculum and is reinforced from the specific role of the gender which is played out efficiently and culturally. So, the hidden curriculum represents the official curriculum about math, science, and others. These can consist of  the knowledge that how students can behave in public, set their priority to develop the study, how students can interact with the non parental figures of the authority, gain knowledge about the social hierarchies and many other things. Gender is the essential part of the hidden curriculum as the schools consider that gender has the essential characteristics to organize the  social life of the students. To understand the different roles of the different gender in the hidden curriculum. Teachers set dome activities or toys and these are categorized on the basis of whether it is for boys or girls or for both. So, this needs to be chosen  by the students. In this same chart boys choses some different things where the girls choses some different activities and there are also some activities which are chosen by both the boys and girls. All of these are correct according to the thoughts of the boys and girls (Unnikrishnan et al. 2019). So, this clearly shows that the different gender has different roles in the hidden curriculum. The girls are attracted to different things than the boys. So, the girl students are involved to achieve the different knowledge of the hidden curriculum and boys are involved in the different knowledge of the hidden curriculum. According to the experts, the mentality of the girls and boys are quite different so the hidden curriculum skills differ from one gender to another gender but also there are some equal thoughts of the students which does not matter about the girls or boys moreover it is equal for both the genders. Girls students mainly show their interest in different hidden curricula which give them more knowledge to make them develop as good students and develop their personal life. This is also applicable for the boys also. But all genders are involved tio gain the knowledge about the hidden curriculum of the education because as students all of  them need to develop the same skills of hidden curriculum like hard work, appreciation, responsibility because this can help them to represent them as good students and human beings. All genders have the same role to gain the knowledge of hidden curriculums about education. But also there are some differences in the knowledge of hidden curriculum in the personal life of the boys and girls students to improve their personal life also because hidden curriculum also helps the students to develop their personal experiences and point of view about life. So, it changes the life of different genders in different ways (Brunton et al. 2019). Hence the girl students are involved in the process of hidden curriculum quite differently to gain the different knowledge which helps them in the personal life also so that they can develop them as good people everywhere. Boys also have the same different role in the hidden curriculum. So, all genders has the quite different roles and there are some same role in  the hidden curriculum.
