3. Porter Five Forces analysis

Competition in this self-driving industry

It always increases the risks of increasing the number of competition within the same fields, which helps the customer to enhance their business process. In this case, competitions are very larger manners such as their main competitor is Tesla in this field because they are the first company who introduced these self-deriving features in this cares. However, Volvo has the chance to beat Tesla because they are also adding the LIDAR technology to9 increase the safety levels of their respective customer, which helps them to attract their customers.

Potential of new trants

The power of the company can be affected due to entering the new player in the same sectors with the same product featured product with lower price. As suggested by Bran et al. (2021), these attributes can be affected in many different ways such as decreasing their and other factors. In order to solve this type of problem or issue, they can acquire that company or collaborates with this company to expand their business and neutralize their ultimate threats.

Power of suppliers in terms of Bargaining

Volvo can face certain issues due to a limited number of its suppliers in terms of raw material, manufacturing essential products, and other attributes.  In this case, they have a more number of their suppliers, which helps them to neutralize their supplier’s power in terms of bargaining due to making some type of agreement that helps them to maintain their business models.

Power of customers

These factors can decrease the power of the company due to the low number of customers. Due to this reason, they needs to increase their number of the customer with the help of different strategies such as adding some features to their cars or using some discount models that help them to enhance their business models to maintain their revenue structures (Welling et al. 2021). In this case, Volvo is using the LIDAR technology in their SPA2 model, XC90 SUV, and other cars to enhance their safety features which helps them to attract more customers to the company.

The threat of substitute products

The substitute’s products are a major threat to every company because it has the power to decrease their sales and revenue and push them towards losses. In this case, TESLA, GOOGLE, and other big automobile company are trying to launch an effective product with the same features that affect VOLVO Company’s business structures.

4. Data Modeling

A modeling tool provides the users to develop physical and logical data models that added the features of compares models and quickly generates SQL design. It helps them to create and modify their existing data, which helps them to enhance their business process. Volvo sues the Erwin Data Modeler to develop their basic design to maintain their data, which helps them to enhance their overall business models.

As cited by Silva et al. (2021), it provides the features of data management with an effective server’s base that helps them to control their respective design process such as identifying any types of malfunction or fault in their cars. It helps them to maintain their overall business models and control their relationships with their receptive customers through different strategies.

The product is trying to improve the driving process of their customer with extra cost. In this case, they need to develop tier products with zero errors because any type of miscalculation can affect their image in this field, which can affect their business models in terms of tremendous losses and other attributes.

These data modeling tools are used to decrease the operation cost of the company, which helps them to reduce their cost of building applications, by 10% and 70% reduced budgets using the programming languages. As opined by Hoeft (2021), it also has the features of catching the errors and fixing those within a very short time. On the other hand, it also helps them to manage any type of risks such as cyber-attacks, malware attacks, and other attributes that helps them to enhance their business performances.

5. Process Modelling

The processed modelling is the graphical representation of the three businesses which helps to understand the working procedure of the business and helps to identify the different types of working and manage the different parts of the organisation.  It helps the researcher to analyse the working of Volvo, one of the most renowned car manufacturing industries in the world, in terms of safety and security (TC et al. 2019 ).  It helps to increase a better understanding of the working of Volvo and helps to evaluate the working of the organisation.

Benefits of using Process Modelling

Process Modelling helps to increase the better understanding of the work of Volvo and helps to increase the efficiency of the business and help the work business more efficiently. It also helps the management of Volvo to increase the efficiency of the rate of work in the business (Latsou et al. 2019 ). It also helps to figure out the different types of problems that are faced by the business while in the working process.

Improve efficiency:  The use of the process Modelling in Volvo can help to increase the use of a better understanding of the working which helps the management of Volvo to increase the better result which can help to increase the effectiveness of the business and enhance a better workflow in the business (Roy et al. 2021). It also helps to increase the better coordination of the employees in the organisation while working in the organisation.

Gain transparency: Process Modelling helps a business to increase transparency in the work of the organisation. It helps to increase the transparency in the work which helps to increase the trust of the investor in the business externally (Lavoie, 2018). It helps to increase the better understanding of the working of the organisation’s management which helps to increase the efficiency of the organisation.

Moreover, it can be seen that the increase in transparency in the business can help to increase the identification of defaults in the business which can be rectified by the management to increase the efficiency of the business. Moreover, it can be seen that the auto drive technology that is being planned by Volvo is a new concept which needs to be tested well before it is launched in the market (Alonzo et al. 2020).

The increase in the transparency in the stage of development regarding the upgradation helped to increase the trust of the users as well as the inverters of the market on Volvo.  It can help to increase its brand value in the market thereby dominating the market segment of automated cars in the UK.

Ensure best practice:  The use of the process Modelling in Volvo can help the business to increase the use of the best practices which can help to increase the working process in the organisation.

Techniques:

1. Interviewing (as part of an investigatory study)

After interviewing Apple’s operations manager, he or she said that they are looking to invest in autonomous vehicle research projects. Due to this reason, they are using 70 and more vehicles on the California road for their employee transportation which helps them to show their overall business process. They also hired former NASA engineers to develop their project’s design and make him the head of the Titan project which is responsible for making self-driving cars (Latsou, 2018).

After interviewing Amazon’s people, it states that they are also trying to patent the design of their autonomous cars that helps them to enhance their whole business structures with the help of their lane switching technology. They are also trying to introduce 100,000 E-vehicles on the road by the year 2030 with the help of the Rivan company (Cbinsights.com, 2020). As per the view of the operation manager of amazon, they are introducing some new roles to people which helps to reduce the unemployment rates in the UK.

On the other hand, BMW-Intel-Mobileye together is trying to develop autonomous vehicles in the markets. They are choosing Munich as a hub of their vehicles and beat their competitors by collaborating with their German company Daimler, which helps them to manage their overall business performance. This collaborative company is trying to develop their business projects by involving their 1200 technicians in the same projects for upgrades to their business models (Da et al. 2019).

2. Questionnaires (as part of an investigatory study)

After the making of the development some of the questionnaires are found which are discussed below:

What is the rate of progress in the state of automation technology in Amazon?

As per the care study, it can be seen that amazon filed patient rights in 2015 automation lane switch technique which can be used in different types of automation vehicles. It has also invested in the startup operated by Tesla veterans and by google which helps amazon to get a step forward towards automation in the working Other than that the different types of delivery robots are at present giving their services at different places in the US.  As per the view of Da et al. (2019) decreases the involvement of the human non-delivery of the product.

What is the current status of Audi in the field of automation and self-driving technology?

Audy is the first company to introduce self-drive technology in the market.  Moreover, it can be seen the Audi A98 bid for the first self-drive car, which has got permission to launch its car in the European market. As per the view of Latsou et al.  (2019) The company hired the Former manager of Tesla Autopilot as the CTO of the self-driving technology which helps to increase the automation of the technology used in their cars.

Audi’s Autonomous Intelligent Driving” is being used in the Audi Argo technology which is an AI used to help to increase the automation in the cars.  The company has planned to invest 16 billion dollars which can help the business to modify the use of automated technology in the company (Cbinsights.com, 2022).

This picture shows the relationships of all stakeholders and their roles and responsibility in their daily lives to develop this type of self-driving car and try to sell to tier customers. As per the customer perspectives of Nissan groups, it has been notified that the company’s program committees are taking the initiation to complete the paper works.

As stated by Godina et al. (2021), it helps the customer to analyze their roles and responsibility such as taking permission from their CEO with all the information towards these projects that helps them to manage the consequences of these respective projects. Then, their software engineer is trying to list their using or required algorithms that help them to analyze and established a required model of business.

After that, the management board is taking the decision to initiate the database registration, which helps them to protect their projects with the positive decision of their program initiation committees, which helps them to develop their business model.

Then, their customer analyses the automation inclusion to the respective projects through the technology import systems to the other company, which helps to reduce their workload. As suggested by Andriuškevičius and Štreimikienė (2021), this import procedure can be done through the supply inventory systems and after that, they need the investor’s permission to collaborate for importing the modern technology.

Then, they can get their final product as per their customer perspectives. However, after that, they need to take the customer feedback from their respective customer to solve their other issues with their respective models. Their consumer also shows positive reviews due to their safety and self-driving features that helps to increase the revenue models that help them to enhance their business process.

Part2b: Workshop Planning

The main reason behind arranging these workshops is to discuss Nissan company’s self-driving cars and their management system in terms of Staffs managements and encourage their employees to develop their business processes, which lead them to manage their business processes (Upadhyay et al. 2022).

The main objective of these workshops is to establish healthy relationships between the employees and management to complete their goals such as establishing a good image for launching their self-driving cars to capture their respective markets.

In these workshops, their CEO is trying to provide a list which is covered during these workshops such as marketing procedures of these projects, operation departments, and the major things is technology inclusion which helps them to understand their respective job roles and responsibility to beat their competitors.
