It is often stated that the success of the organisation from a good one to the best one in the world is highly dependent on the leadership and management they are providing in managing their human resources (Jug et al. 2019). In this context, the business experts often exhibit that idea of self-awareness and learn to work as a team plays a great part. This essay will analyse the different aspects of leadership and the influence that self-awareness has on it.

Discussion

Self Awareness And Its Importance

Consciousness having an idea of itself is the basic driving factor which makes humans different from other animal species. In this context, self-awareness can be defined as the consciousness regarding the self. In the book of psychology, self-awareness is often stated as the first day for personal development. The business handbooks also referred to self-awareness for having an idea about the position that one has in this world. An analysis of self-awareness and its correlation with leadership and management is also helpful to provide the fact that without having proper self Awareness it is impossible to manage a diverse workspace team. As stated by the business expert Steve Jobs, the event of self-awareness is highly helpful to provide the necessary Instinct for the leader or manager to properly govern his business (Selden & Goodie, 2018). by having an idea about the self the leader can augment his decision according to the needs of the business and the employees. In this modern world of business management, the workplace culture is becoming more diverse and lenient to a team-based approach rather than the traditional department-based approach. This makes communication and working as a part of a team for a leader highly important and more prominent than ever before (van den Hout et al. 2018).  In this context, the presence of self-awareness is highly crucial to provide the leader with his role and boundaries that you must have on managing the team that he is receiving. Self-awareness is also helpful for making the process of management easier. Self-awareness is highly important to provide the necessary confidence to the leader.  The leader who is pumped up with confidence has a greater tendency to correct and important decisions in the organisation management (Rahman et al. 2018). Due to this inference, it is often stated that self-awareness is highly important to refine the operational management of the organisation according to the best need of the business.

Giving And Receiving Feedback

The provision of giving and receiving feedback is highly important for leadership self-awareness. Provision of giving feedback and providing a greater sense regarding the capability of the individual to become a leader. It is often seen that in the modern business world leader have to be a great supervisors to manage the team and guide them towards the path of excellence full stop in this context the increase in the self-awareness of the leader regarding the capability of himself along with the capability of the team can provide and related sense about the distribution of the workload which is highly helpful to increase the productivity and efficiency of the team that he is managing on. Further analysis regarding this matter can provide the fact that the giving of feedback can help the leader to get to know the capability of the team more (Driskell et al. 2018). The giving and receiving of feedback towards its team are also helpful to increase the strength of the bridge of communication and power the self-awareness that the leader is looking for. From the preliminary analysis of the different business journals, it is found that the leader who is only rich in self-awareness can provide the necessary feedback to the team and provide them with a better sense of their working capabilities.

Other than giving feedback to receiving feedback from the team regarding the type of management that the leader is having on them is also helpful to increase the self-awareness of the leader (Stover & Holland, 2018). Receiving feedback from the team is not only help to increase the communication with the team but also can provide the greatest sense about their inside sea guarding the management style that the leader has. The leader can engulf the feedback that he received from the team and try to augment the managing style and philosophy that he is having to make it more aligned with the team and the workforce (O’Neill et al. 2018).

Learning To Work In A-Team

Team-based work division is now followed by every industry and workplace. This makes the event of self Awareness of an individual or more likely with self Awareness of the leader a great deal.  It is generally seen that learning to work in a team as a part of leading them can be a great option for the leader to improve the self-awareness that he is having. The greater analysis in the matter provides information that every member of the team brings a new set of scale and expertise to the table (Moe et al. 2019). So it is very difficult to say that it requires a diverse set of skill sets and management techniques to manage the teams and drive them towards maximum work efficiency. This inclusion of the proper and model management technique towards the workplace is practically impossible to achieve without l having a Pinnacle of self-awareness regarding the capabilities and the techniques that he is used to managing them and organised with the operational structure of the organisation according to it (Mehta et al. 2019). It is also found that managing a diverse workforce is also helpful to increase the self-awareness of the leader.  A leader can utilise the active listening technique to receive and provide feedback to the team and it will be highly helpful for him also to increase self-awareness and devise new management techniques to further develop the team and the organisational future. The leader who knows how to work in a team environment is involved with the knowledge regarding the basic requirements of the members of the team which is helpful for them to guide them and also provide them with the necessary support during the time of need (Xiao et al. 2019).

Personality

It is difficult to describe the term personality. but in common says personality can be defined as the uniqueness in the style that every individual frame. Through the analysis of different psychological books, it is found that personality is highly correlated with the self-awareness that the individual is trying to have. It is found that the personality which carries the open minus and is eager to receive feedback regarding the work from the other one is highly capable to utilise self-awareness to make personal growth. So it will be very difficult to announce that the personality of an individual or more specifically the leader is highly correlated with self-awareness regarding his job and the management of the team that he is having. It is generally advised that a leader must have a bening personality where he is open to criticism and receiving feedback from others regarding his job roles. This kind of attitude towards the profession can be helpful to reduce the power gap between the team and the managerial department which is helpful to increase the communication between the two departments (Ramani et al. 2019). This will make them leaderless of a boss than a  guide who is willing to help his team to achieve a goal together in a professional environment. The further analysis regarding this matter is that to have an extraordinary growth in the field of self-awareness and personal development the personality which accounts for the easy conceptualization of knowledge is the best one.

Conclusion

Leadership and management is an important aspect of the business. There are several factors which, in a combined field, work as a driving force to transform a normal person into a great leader capable of visiting every hurdle that the business world throws. In this context, three events of self-actualization play a great role for him to withstand the huge pressure that the model and diverse business is having. Self-actualisation provides him with necessary information regarding the expense associated with his decision-making process. This is highly helpful to increase the team playing capability of the leader which helps him to improve the organisational structure. Through the analysis regarding the event of self-awareness, the necessary information regarding the process of guiding a team can be achieved easily.

Part B–Establishing the Possessional and the Positional

Toolkit/Psychometric Test Strengths Weaknesses
Rokeach Values Survey With the help of this value survey, I get to know that my core value is justified within the self-belief and regulation that I have on managing a diverse workgroup. through the side where I have found that I prefer the enhancement of individuality as the chief driving force to enhance the work of a team (Salas et al. 2019). The principal weakness that I came to know through the server is that sometimes I can get quite defensive regarding my values. It means that I have a stubborn attitude towards other people which can be a slightly negative event on my journey to become a good leader.

Belbin’s Team Roles

Honey and Mumford’s Learning Styles

The test of “Belbin’s team roles” provided me with the information that I tend to become thought oriented in the team setting. This can be helpful for me to achieve a great decision-making process and work for the betterment of the team.

The “Honey and Mumford’s Learning Styles” provided me with the idea regarding the fact that I can understand the requirements of the team and have self-realisation or actualisation in the events when I am supported by the team members through the help of active communication.

The principal source of weakness that I have come to know about myself is that I can be very persuasive regarding my thought process. This can disrupt the timeframe of the decision making and can cause some significant delay in the procedure.

The need for a supportive environment is also the weakness that I have come to know from this test. It will be quite difficult for me to work in an environment and manage a workforce that is not able to properly communicate with me and provide me with feedback regarding my management and leadership style (Mornata & Cassar, 2018).

Emotional Intelligence

Cultural Intelligence

The greatest emotional intelligence that I have shown during this stage which qualifies me for a good leader is that I am quite fascinated and worried about the needs of the employees rather than fulfilling the goal of the organisation. This can be helpful for me to communicate more with the team and have the real self-awareness that I’ve been looking for transferring me to a great leader (Ferrar et al. 2018).

From the analysis of the psychometric test, I found that I am also quite sensitive towards the culture of other people. This can be highly beneficial for me to become a good leader where the employees can have their cultural autonomy and get respected in the workplace (Samrose et al. 2018).

To the test, I have found that I sometimes get carried away by my portion which can be slightly problematic to deal with a diverse workforce in this huge competitive modern business world.

Analysing the result of the date I came to know that I do have some cultural sensitivity in me but sometimes in the allocation I can show that something pretty is taking the culture of some people. This can have a great way to work the overall culture of the workplace and the mutual respect that everyone deserves from the leader at the workplace (Escalante et al. 2018).

16 Personalities Test

Big Five-Factor Model

From the 16 personality tests, I have found that having proper communication in the workplace inspires me to do well in the organisational setting. This can be helpful for me to guide the team towards greater excellence (Donia et al. 2018).

From the five big personality traits that I have, I have an excellent school on the openness scale. This is quite aligned with my personality as I have stated before I preferred the communication between the leader and the team over anything. In my opinion, this can be achieved without being open to others (Shobe, 2018).

I have found Sometimes I can be stubborn with the goal and the part that I have chosen to accomplish something. In my opinion, this is quite a bad thing to have as a leader. As I have a list through the different opinions of the famous leaders I have found The leaders must be flexible according to the situation. So in my opinion, listing the attitude that I have been showing in some situations can be a great source of problems in my future. They would rather lead it to my team and well the organisation that I am serving (Graesser et al. 2018).
MCI Personal Competency Model .This test was quite valuable to have a great analysis of my capability to become a leader and play along with the team. I have found that I have quite a good score at the competitive level and I can be a good team player along with the leader who can guide you towards the goal. The further analysis also showed me that my eagerness to communicate with others can be classified upon my leadership period. I think that the communication will be highly helpful for me to have a greater bonding with the team and also engage in them with the operation of the organisation. As I mentioned before I can be stubborn with my attitude. A similar kind of inference was found during this test also. I have come to know that my score on agreeing with others’ opinions when they are different from mine is quite low. This means that as a leader I can sometimes be quite autocratic (Swab & Johnson, 2019). This is never a good sign for a great leader that I hope to become one day. Through my analysis with the available literature and previous interviews by the famous business, I have found that the organisation keeps on performing well when the leader of the management of the organisation is democratic and quite open towards the opinion of other people and utilising them while making any significant operational changes (). Nevertheless, I also found that my attitude toward learning from other people is also not so sweet as to become the good letter that I am hoping for. I have found that sometimes I can be driven by the ego off my mind. This will directly clash with my open attitude that I am hoping to utilise to make the process of leadership and managing diversity in the workplace now.
Verbal Reasoning (VRT4)

Numerical Reasoning (NRT4)

Logical Reasoning (LRT4)

The Workplace Personality Questionnaire (WPQ)

From analysing the psychological test that I have undertaken I came to know that I have a pretty good score on verbal reasoning and numerical reasoning. This means that I can come up with an innovative and creative way of taking any problem that the model workplace often throws towards me. My score on logical reasoning is also quite noticeable which means that the process of decision making that I will be taking as a leader will be driven by crude logic rather than mere emotion and the feelings which are often unclouded by the day’s decision making process in a business setting. From the workplace personality questionnaire, I have found that I am quite optimistic and a workaholic. This can be quite useful for me to have a great career as a successful leader and the excellent manager that I am hoping to become. The proper usage of my workaholic attitude with a logical and creative decisions making process can provide me with a greater sense of self-awareness regarding every decision and step that I have taken in my professional career. With the help of the proper analysis of the four important sections of workplace psychology, I came to know that I am quite suitable to become a well-judged leader who can guide the team in this modern and diverse business world. From the psychological test, I have come to know that it can be quite an innovative and creative invitation making process but sometimes I am quite a risk-taker in this background. The main problem that this place is showing to me is that I am quite oriented towards this Mall term goal achievement rather than planning for any long-term change in the operation which can relieve the organisation from any difficulties for a considerable period. Through the proper analysis of this matter, I also came to know that verbal communication regarding my thoughts behind any decision-making process can be the area where the father’s work is needed from my end. The workplace questionnaire also provides me with the idea that I am prioritising more of an individualist approach in a team rather than providing the chance for the background for the team to have an overall development in their working capability. To maximise the result of any operation, I can take some rest which can affect the overall operational process of the team and also can make the workplace culture quite hostile for personal as well as professional development. To become quite successful in the chapter of leadership I have to analyse these small points and make some suitable ramifications in my thought process and working style to become a successful leader rather than becoming a boss who can extract work from his team.

Part C– What Next

To have one notable career as a good leader who can manage the workforce in any negative situation which the business world throws at the organisation, I have to make some real adjustments in my attitude as well as my working stand. From the different psychological tests, I have come to know that the trip principal problem that I have is my stubbornness. This usually clouds my judgement and compels me to take the risk and the impulsive decision without giving it a second thought. In the psychological term, it is often described as a superiority complex that prevents someone from commenting on his own mistakes. This is quite a serious problem for me and can cause a significant device addition in my personal as well as professional life. Preliminarily, I have made some notable changes in my daily routine and try to have a different type of lifestyle which throws my mind out of the comfort zone that I am used to and provides me with the chance to show my innovation and capability to be flexible under any kind of situation.

Secondly, I will need some medical help from a trained professional who can make a significant impact on the mind of the individual. This can provide me with a proper sense of judgement and also can help to reduce my psychological complexity that can be quite hard to overcome in this modern field of business management. Moreover, I can also use the power of the therapy and the support group which are quite common nowadays to help my mind regarding the fact that sometimes I can be wrong and if the value is present in the opinion of others. Many times taking the occasion of analysing the management technique of the famous personality can be quite productive in this segment. This can provide me with notable information regarding the management techniques that the professionals generally used to push their organisation to the region of maximum success (Rouse et al. 2020). The starting of their management technique can also be helpful for me to have a great attitude towards the team-based management technique that is used nowadays. Through the help of the analysis of the different theories and models available for the management also shows that the logical background is often the last word while making any significant division in the business management portfolio. So according to my psychological test, I have come to know that emotion can sometimes be a great obstacle for me to become the great leader that I have envisioned for me. So I have to incorporate a new sense of logic and reasoning in my decision-making process. So that I can be the good leader that I am hoping to be. This ramification can be highly helpful for me to become a well suited professional.
