INTRODUCTION:

In organization problems occurs that can affect the entire organization as a whole. Organizational problems are those that span a number of departments and units in an organization and for such type of situation they require a team effort (Krimsky,2019). In an organization, there can be various types of organizational problem and problematic situation such as executing the activities, difficulty in blending personalities of various kinds into a unified team, failure to develop key competencies, weak communication, awareness relating to certain issues etc (Samuel,2020). organizational problems are difficulties that employees faces and prevent them to achieve their goals therefore it is important that the employees address any issue that they may be facing in the current workplace so that the managers or the leaders come up with ways and strategies to rectify them in the most effective ways (Zehfuss,2018).

AN OVERVIEW OF THE SELECTED ORGANIZATIONAL ISSUE:

While working for an organization XYZ, one of the main issues that I have faced is the issue of gender inequality where women were paid lesser than men even if everyone worked for the same duration. Gender inequalities in the workplace takes many forms such as unequal pays, disparity in promotions, racism and sexual harassment etc. Unequal pay for both genders are still a reality and gender pay gaps has persisted over the past few years. In addition to that, it is found out that immigrant women and transgender live in fear because of the fact that their pay are negotiated and also penalized if they tend to take actions. It is also found out that women of color compared to white women are facing a higher rate of disrespect and questioning.

Situation

Therefore, leaders in the workplace must come together to close gaps of advancement and discriminations as well. There are many ways to deal with such type of problems such as giving flexible work options, training opportunities for women, focusing on health and mental well- being, ensuring gender equality, speaking against discrimination etc. it is also important to bridge the gap and educate employees on gender biasness, take interviews and select women who deserves the spot, conducting audit and making transparent salaries, giving the female workers the flexibility to what works for them, providing higher skilled roles, empower women through various trainings and programs, provide means to improve health and well being and establish a relationship of mentor and mentee (White,2020).

Ethical issues involve a situation where there is moral conflicts which must be addressed, simply a situation where moral standards are questioned. It usually occurs when making decisions or when decisions are given and such decisions, scenarios or activity creates a conflict with society’s moral principal. An individual or business can be involved in these conflicts as any of their activities might be put to question from an ethical standpoint. These issues must be addressed and solved as they are dangerous to any organization, they are sometimes legally dangerous since they might even breach law and sometimes it may not be of legal value but it might generate negative reaction from the third parties which creates unhealthy relationships. Ethical issues are challenging as they are difficult to deal with unless proper ethical codes are implemented to follow and for this reason many professionals, organizations, companies and industry have ethical codes that are approved by the people involved to provide effective framework for companies and individuals to make efficient decisions whenever such issue arises.

It is not uncommon that issues of ethics comes as a problem in many organisations , me as someone who worked in an organisation which involved lots of field work as a technician came with no surprise when it comes to ethical values and standards, being one of the few female workers working in such organisation, the issue of ethics was very apparent , while the primary work as a technician was to assist the scientist but being a female there was a lot of discrimination , while the male workers would go with the scientist to the field to examine agricultural crops and soil , the female technicians were mostly confined to such works of MTS , like preparing lunch and refreshments, which made female technicians more like surplus to requirement as there were enough staffs for such works as were done by the female technicians, it’s not to say that Female technicians never had any opportunity which justified their designations however ,many a times the regular works involved works apart from works done by a technician.After some research , it has been found out that such issues were prevalent for a long time and the tradition was carried on till today. It is not even a question to be pondered upon but to act quickly in order to solve such issues in any organisation as it render the potential of a female worker , making them feel less important and rendering their potential which could have benefited the organisation.Yes, there has been some approaches adopted by the organisation regarding moral ethics , values and standards to tackle gender inequality but those approaches remained a mere formality , as in reality nothing of such approaches changed anything and the practice went on and is still going on to this day.There must be a stern action , approach and practice to eradicate such issues not only by codes but by action, these comes down to the mentality of an individual .There are many approaches which can be used in order to eradicate such issues which are directly blended to moral and psychological.

professionals such as the law and health care have their codes of ethics which states what a person should do and should not do in certain situations. However, still there are many professionals of an organization who do not have these ethical values to control any tacky situations. It’s only up to an organizational will incase of any difficulties to handle any ethical issues. Some of the issues of ethical analysis in an organization are-

  1. Use of social media: use of social medias are an important business marketing tool whether an individual likes it nor not and it is also an integral part of the employees’ life. Since the use of social media is evolving over the years. It is also becoming hard to differentiate between personal and professional settings. In order to reduce any ethical issues of an organization, it is necessary that the leaders take part in clearing and setting policies for the employees to use the social media. Policies can be implemented to differentiate the workers use of social media at work and outside the work place.
  2. Technology and privacy concerns: Modern day technologies help an employer to easily monitor their workers use of technology such as the websites used and their history and emails. However, the owner of the business might face the ethical issue in relation to the employees privacy be it phone, tablet or computer. Therefore. The employees must be alerted in case of the company leader’s plan to read emails, or tracking their usage of the internet used.
  3. Ethics relating to business travels: some type of business requires both the leader and employees travel at the same time and in such cases, there can arise the ethical issue when someone takes advantage of travel policies. Examples relating to such maybe purchase of alcohol without knowledge, using a person’s credit card to make any types of payments, pocketing any cash given by the company etc. these actions may not be termed illegal but affects the ethical values of a person and questions their moral values as well.
  4. Perks of being a favorite employee: while there can be reasons that the owner of the organization likes to work with certain employees, maybe because of the skills they possess any other reasons, there may arise the issue of ethical values when there is clear favoritism given to an employee. However it may be noted that favoritism in form of sexual harassment is considered illegal and not an issue of ethics (Rességuier,2020).
  5. Bad leadership behavior: it is not always the fault of an employee who exhibits unethical behavior; it can also be the owner of the company or any leaders. Giving rules and procedures to the employees but they don’t follow it themselves are also an issue of ethical behavior and a bad example for the workplace. It is important to keep the employees motivated as well as providing job satisfaction in a workplace and a leader must always follow what they preaches and keep their own ethical behavior (Muaygil2018).

MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL ISSUES:

Management analysis is the process of appraising the growth of an organization, operations related to it, personal and work environment of an entity. In an organization, the undertaking of management analysis is important as it enables the management to identify the areas of weakness and also find ways to reduce and eliminate the problems. Some important aspects of management analysis include the assessment of external elements which may influence the performance of the organization. It also includes evaluating the organization strategically. In any issue of an organization it is important to do SWOT analysis to establish the goals and overall improvement of the organization. The strengths of an organization are an advantage that defines the success and helps in evaluation of management, work force, resources as well as marketing goals. The weakness is an aspect of an organization that can affect the organization in their performances and they include poor leadership, poor finance, old use of technology, inefficient performance that are hindering the management and making hard to manage costs. Opportunities generally include assessment of market trends and evaluation the impact of technology in respect to performance of an organization. An organization needs to understand the importance of use of technology as it creates an opportunity to set themselves apart from others and are capable of becoming leaders in the industry. Threats are those that affect the opportunity for an organization therefore leaders of an organization must be competitive and analyze the competition in the market to cope with the changes and make changes if necessary.

 MODELS OF MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS:

There are mainly four models that an organization commonly works with. The first is the rationale model where it states that there is only one way to perform task. Second is the natural model that believes that the goals of an organization are not only to achieve its goals but have a positive impact in the external environment. Third is the socio- technical model in which they state that business is evolving in a continuous basis and changes are made in time due to collaboration of few employees. Last is the cognitive model where greater emphasis is made on the task made by the business team and a lot of attention is given on the division and coordination of tasks among the employees (Char,2018).

Management analysis offers various benefits to an organization as it helps businesses to improve on their weakness and making them understand the business function by helping to shed light on the areas of weakness.   1. Identifying the issue: It is very important to identify any kinds of issues in an organization so that the leader’s working in the management can help to rectify any problems. While bringing out the issue, it is necessary that the problem is highlighted in such a way that it is clear to the leader and also remember that different people will have different thoughts on the issue etc.
  2. Understanding other’s interest: this might be a factor an individual might be missing while only trying to highlight his/her issues as often we tend to ignore others attachment to a particular solution. In such situation, it is necessary to satisfy everyone’s interest by making value decisions and putting down any personal issues or differences so that everyone come up with the solution and come together as one to achieve their target.

In conclusion, it can be stated that various differences in attitudes and behavior can affect the people of an organization as our values and personality and beliefs also influences on the preferences we are comfortable in. various organization use the personality test in the selection but it is termed as controversial as people who come for an interview process might be faking the good behavior in order to pass the test. Therefore identifying and resolving the issue of an organization is beneficial both to the organization as well the employees. It is important to resolve any issues of an organization to create healthy workforce and focusing on accomplishing and achievement. In any case of issue in an organization, decision making process proves to be the best option because it helps to implement the solutions from various alternatives. Both ethics and culture play a key role in decision making process and may complicate the process but proper application of guidelines can ensure people in the workplace that decisions are ethical and fair. Therefore awareness of various methods for decision making can help the employees to become effective decision makers in any situation of conflicts.
