Honey and Mumford’s learning style delivers four professional learning parameters such as activists, reflectors, theorists and pragmatists (Health.gov.au, 2022). Activists’ criteria measure performance by analysing involvement to collect new experiences by removing bias. Reflectors determine learning styles by analysing data and observing learning capabilities from different angles or perspectives (Krajcik, J.S. and Czerniak, 2018).

Theorists deliver suggestions of facts after completing the analysis and this process considers theories in it while completing this process. Pragmatists practice finding new ideas and skills to have an opportunity for development.

After completing this test, I achieved a score of 8 in theorist, 3 in activist, 5 in pragmatist and 7 in reflector (Mint-hr.com, 2022). Therefore, the above analysis, delivers that the self-learning analysis follows different statistics, theories, stories, quotes and information before conducting any development. Globalisation theory is one of the development theories that include the process of completion of events by following the development in social, economic and cultural aspects to achieve an international benchmark in any prospects (Clark, 2019).

Therefore, effective learning theories provide support to make any decision to achieve goals. I, therefore, follow this approach while considering any implementation to make any improvement. In addition, I follow remarkable person’s activities such as Mark Zuckerberg while setting development in my career. I collected 3 scores in activists as I practised a few activities such as problem-solving and role play and therefore, I gain information from this test to perform overall activities by counting other experiences.

I achieved a 5 score in pragmatics as I practice not enough activities to find skills and this score indicates I to cover more activities in my career. In addition, I achieved 7 scores in the reflector as I follow through with different types of statistical observation while considering any data analysis activities (Cheng et al. 2018). In this part, I also want to make development by considering more surveys and analysis of data. The overall score shows that needed development is required in many aspects to achieve quality and meet goals in a career.

Professional development follows different types of learning styles and out of those two learning styles, visual learning and kinesthetic learning style are effective learning styles to make developing in a professional career. Visual learning style includes any learning objectives by providing visual guidance and this can be both offline and online versions (Onyema et al. 2019).

For example, learning of a chapter in the education sector considers providing knowledge through a blackboard discussion. Therefore, learners can collect information from theories and handmade drawings at a time and can relate to both figures and theories to gain complete knowledge. Therefore, this good understanding will provide support to develop their career as this style delivers a depth of knowledge.

Online visual learning also provides support as this process delivers learning materials in audio-visual mode by using modern technologies in it (Chernikova et al. 2020). The present generation practices this learning mode to gain more information learning through it.

These all are the strength of visual learning styles. However, this learning process has some limitations as offline learning cannot be able t provide a real example of practical knowledge for any subjects and therefore, this provides a lack in the learning process (Karabulut‐Ilgu et al. 2018). Online learning also faces technical issues and this interrupts the learning process. This learning style has not enough opportunity to clear one’s doubt while completing learning materials.

The kinesthetic learning style is another learning model and this process delivers learning by showing practical knowledge. This style follows direct touch with objects to clear learning objectives (Sousa and Rocha, 2019). For example, anyone can have information regarding Facebook on google, however, this information will not provide enough real experience. Therefore, by using Facebook, one can collect more experience and can elaborate more clear information about Facebook.

This learning style, therefore, delivers effective support in the practical learning process to build clear ideas on the learning materials (Lam et al. 2018). This style considers visual and auditory techniques and therefore has a similarity with the visual learning process.

However, this learning style has a limitation as the learning process can be interrupted if real learning materials or practical resources will not available for some learning aspects (Darling-Hammond and Cook-Harvey, 2018). Therefore, the learner will face issue while learning if the unavailability of learning resources occurs.

Task 3 – Comparison of Strategies for Improving Skills

Methods to improve the skills

 The two basic methods to improve the skill are :

  1. i) Training

Training is one of the best ways of learning and practicing the skill as well as gaining knowledge. If the technology advances, the employees need to enhance their skills and align with the latest technology (Jaroenkitboworn, 2021). Trainings are used in different ways:

Technology-based training: If there is advancement in the technology in terms of the latest software to make the workflow easy and scalable. Technology is used to make particular tasks easy and short.

On-the-job training: It is one of the most commonly used training to focus on skills related to the job. This especially trains the newly hired and gives the knowledge of insights. It takes less time and is less expensive and employees are trained under supervision.

  1. ii) Job rotation

Job rotation is a practice where employees are shifted to different assignments to expose themselves in each vertical of the organization.

  • Job rotation is used for learning purposes so that employees get to learn about every field.

Theoretical training provides depth knowledge of any learning materials and this process discusses entire subjective parts (Almazova et al. 2020). In addition, this method completes the training process by providing suitable and needed time and therefore, people can learn depth and practical knowledge from this learning method.

Personal effectiveness is a success parameter to making a career by meeting goals and this follows a wide range of activities. However, not every people follow entire activities and the people who practice enough quality activities, get advantages over others. This study also includes the skill development method and shows that the training method is an important method to complete skill development activities for people in the education sector and the business sector also.
