Assessment 1 (Assignment)

Question 1 (Behaviour)

Answer 1: The inappropriate behaviour of the children is demonstrated, when they are very stubborn and always keeps crying. In addition, when the children’s always wants their parent’s attention and does not involves with other kids then it is treated as inappropriate behaviour. At the same time, when children’s shows positive concern towards the learning activity than it is considered as an effective way to enhance there learning. The behaviour is demonstrated through personal observation and by developing in-depth information about the lifestyles. The inappropriate behaviour can be easily corrected by the parents and teachers by involving them in the fun and sports activities.

Answer 2: The parenting style of western families will helps in developing open thinking among the children’s without any restrictions, whereas the parenting style of traditional family is opposite to the western family. It is because there are more restrictions and less freedom to the children’s for achieving their targets on time.

Answer 3: The childhood experiences influences the values of an individual about the disciple because in initial stage teaches the individual how to achieve the goals in future by considering the ethical framework. In initial stage the children’s learns different things from their parents and it cannot be changes in the upcoming stage of the lifecycle. The values are aligned to accept teaching of behaviour in early childhood education and care because the child learns the things form his/her natural environment and surrounding.

Answer 4: The challenging behaviour identified was related with the parents so much pampering attitude towards their kids. The parents are always ready to fulfill the demands of their children at first call only. This makes the children’s more stubborn, which creates negative impact on their future also.  Thus, the development expectations of the parents must be changed little bit for enhancing the lifestyle and learning of their kids.

Question 2 (Respectfully guiding behaviour)

Child 1: The child demonstrates stubborn behaviour and the behaviour shown by their antecedents are positive. The behaviour of child was assessed by his lifestyle and the respond towards the behaviour was corrected by involving the kid with other fellow members. The technique such as playing games with other children was implemented.

Child 2: The child demonstrates shy behaviour and the behaviour shown by their antecedents was positive. The behaviour of child was assessed by his daily routine and the respond towards the behaviour was corrected by frequently talking with the kid. The technique such as involving the child in different activities and sharing the personal experiences was implemented.

Child 3: The child demonstrates angry behaviour and the behaviour shown by their antecedents are negative. The behaviour of child is assessed with the help of personal observation and the respond towards the behaviour is corrected by satisfying the needs of the child on time. The technique such as fun activities, role play, etc. was implemented.

Question 3 (Collaborative Behaviour Guidance Plan)

Answer 1: The long term goal for Collaborative Behaviour Guidance Plan (CBGP) is to resolve conflicts and act responsibly.

Answer 2: The short term goal for Collaborative Behaviour Guidance Plan (CBGP) is ascertain the work under the legal framework by following civil duties.

Answer 3: The objective of Collaborative Behaviour Guidance Plan (CBGP) is to create strong relationship with the people in the society.

Answer 4: The baseline for the behaviour is achieved by evaluating the needs of the customers. It is attain by an individual from family, relatives and surroundings. It is compared with other individuals on the basis of their behaviour parameters.

Answer 5: The behaviour will be monitored and evaluated by supervising as well as through personal observation.

Answer 6: The alternative behaviour is related with psychology behaviour, passive aggressive behaviour, communication behaviour, deficit behavior, excess behavior, emotional behaviour etc. There are different strategies implemented in different types of behavior associated with individual for carrying out multiple activities. The behaviour of the individual is also documented during the process.

Answer 7: The communication with the children is created by developing friendly environment and involving them in different activities such as playing, studying or other group activities.

Answer 8: The supporting and communicating with colleagues with the help of various techniques such as group discussion, brain storming etc helps in implementing the plan, within the predetermined time framework.

Answer 9: The plan is revisited or reviewed, when there is any deviation or errors in the process. During the implementation process there are various problems related with allocation of resources stage and was corrected. The corrective steps were taken for reviewing the process for achieving better results.

Answer 10: The learning outcome from the Collaborative Behaviour Guidance Plan (CBGP) was related with the standard quality results by following legal rules and regulations. The early year learning framework helps in enhancing the skills and knowledge of the child in the initial stage only. The Collaborative Behaviour Guidance Plan aligns in supporting the outcome because standards results are achieved on time.

Answer 11: The children are involved in the development, implementation and evaluation process of the CBGP. It is done at the time of evaluating their behaviour and lifestyles for developing different plans as per their needs and requirements. It is done with the help of supervising technique for measuring the effectiveness of the plan.

Answer 12: The family is involved throughout the development, implementation and evaluation process of the CBGP by involving them in the decision making process. The collaborative partnership with family in developing, implementing and evaluating the CBGP is very effective because it assist in collecting the ideas and thoughts in decision making process from others. In addition, the internal and external professional also helps in providing technical knowledge to the conceptual framework.

Question 4 (Children as effective communicators)

Answer 1: The relationship based strategy such as building trusting relationship with the children’s will be helpful in developing strong bonding. It is necessary for the parents to develop strong relationship with the child so that they can take vital decision about their future. There should not be any manipulation in the facts because it affects the coordination level among the parties involved. At the same time, relationship based strategy will support in learning about the behaviour of parents and children’s. The relationship is necessary for identifying the strengths and weakness of the individuals. Moreover, the effective relationship helps in improving the interaction level and increase the involvement rate of the individuals in the programs.

Question 5 (Involving children)

Answer 1:  The United Nations Conventions have set up various rights for the children’s in their best interest. The protection of rights involves assessing the social services, legal parameters, health and educational system for enhancing the learning capabilities of the children’s. The article 17 of UNCRC describes about the information and education system. It covers major points such as respect for human rights, freedom, parents, cultural identity, language, natural environment etc. The article helps in understanding the framework associated with the children’s in the environment.

Answer 2: The quality measures in the educational framework helps in providing effective study material to the children’s for fostering growth in future. The standards tools and techniques are used by professors to enhance the values in the children’s. The elements related with National Quality Standard are educational program and practices with the support of collaborative partnership with the families and communities. The professional staffing arrangements are done for maintaining quality in the specific standards for achieving the results on time.

Answer 3: The professional practice aligns with the regulation 155 i.e. interaction with children from the education and care services national regulations. It outlines the policies associated with code of conduct at the time of providing effective services to the children’s. In addition, the knowledge and competency framework for the child growth and learning is underlined for achieving the targets on time. Proper care is provided to the children’s for making their future bright and prospering.

Question 6 (Additional needs)

Answer 1: Behavioral or psychological disorders

The Behavioral or psychological disorders is determined in the stubborn children, who never listen to their parents and keeps on arguing on the specific statement. The additional need relevant to stubborn children is done by changing their mind set form one think to another or involving them into different practices. The increase the participation, within the early learning environment will be done by setting participation and group activities.

Answer 2: Children at risk of harm

The children at risk of harm require more attention level of the parents and teachers. The need relevant to these children’s will be done by keeping the child and engaging him/her in multiple activities with other kids. The standards tools and techniques will be helpful in protecting the children’s from hazardous things. In addition, increase in the participation, within the early learning environment will be achieved through frequently supervising the child under different scenario.

Answer 3: Family circumstances and needs

The family circumstance and needs will be analyzed through behaviour and lifestyle of an individual. Moreover, the supervising techniques also assist in analyzing the needs of the child under different situation. The need of children’s will be assessed at the time of group activities and there behaviour will be analyzed be developing interaction section.

Answer 4: Health

It is required to give due consideration on the health parameters of the children’s for keeping them protected from different diseases. The health framework will be analyzed with the support of medical examination and reports. The unhealthy child will required moiré precautions and safety measures as compared with the healthy child. The healthy environment should be developed for enhancing the learning abilities of the children’s.

Answer 5: Physical, sensory or developmental disability

The physical, sensory or developmental disability also requires attention level from the parents and teachers. It is because these types of children’s face more problems in carrying out day to day activities such as playing, talking, moving etc. The special care will be required for helping them to carry the routine activity. It will be assessed with the help of personal observation technique and requires voluntary participation from them to overcome the issue and enhance the skills and knowledge.

Question 7 (Special rights for access and participation)

Answer 1: This activity may look like a relationship building process in practice, when supporting the access and participation for a child that may have additional needs. The proper coordination and interaction is created with the children’s for evaluating and monitoring the performance of the kids.

Answer 2: This may look like a collaborative activity, when supporting the access and participation for a child that may have additional needs.

Answer 3: It will be supportive in an early childhood education and care service by creating no differentiation in the gender, sex, race, caste etc. The creation of equal opportunity will help in achieving the effective results.

Answer 4: It will be created with the help of specialized tools and techniques used for providing high quality services to the children’s under ethical and legal framework.

Question 8 (Developing a plan of inclusion to support participation)

Answer 1: The plan regarding the collaboration process will be build through active participation in the conversation. The proper communication with the children’s and their parents will help in developing strong relationship and implementing the plan, within the predetermined time framework.  In addition, proper consultation program will also support in sharing and listening the queries of the parties involved.

Answer 2: The investigation will be done by supervising the implemented strategies to address the individualized needs of the child and their family. The strategy such as personal observation will also be helpful in evaluating the needs of the individuals.

Answer 3: The reviewing of process will be done by examining each step in detail and taking corrective steps for eliminating the errors. In addition, the effective services will be delivered through proper technical and mechanical support of different components.

Answer 4: The identification and assessment process for children’s additional needs starts with the examination of social or behavioral needs, communication skills, cognitive or learning skills and physical or sensory skills.

Answer 5: The additional resources or sources of information to assist in the development and adaption of the curriculum to support access and participation will be obtained with the help of research. The needs will be evaluated by examining the behaviour, lifestyle and value of an individual.

Assessment 2

Question 1 (Collaborative partnerships)

Answer 1:

The communication with the family about the child learning, interest and development is effective for the observation and evaluating the child progress in early childhood education and care service. There is a high need to develop a strong and positive relationship between the family and care staff member so that family feels comfortable and satisfied. The way to communicate with family of child required is verbal communication, learning stories and communications records. For example: in concern of child behavior or symptoms of illness, makes the good quality of practice and communication system among the family and educator and this collaborative practices supports in determining about the child learning & development.

Answer 2:

The care strategies is developed efficiently by building a strong relationship with the family because care strategies help in collaborating and establishing a positive environment which help in gaining the parent trust and respect when we interact with their child. The caring strategy plays an important role in making the family comfortable while talking about their children in regards of issues and concern which they have about regarding the child and acceptance of professional opinion. There are some important factors which are to be remembered while using the care strategies in building positive partnership relation with the family. The factors involve that everyone should be treated equally and contribute in different segments, listen to each other and make effort for understanding each other point of views. At the same time, care strategy is used for turning the relationship into partnership relation with family by involving towards a share of common goal. By developing a partnership relation with family provide effective benefit to children, family and education & care staff. This partnership relation helps the children in learning different things like learning the importance of people in their life. While studying about care strategies, it is found that this strategy is used for targeting the family and achieving their trust towards their program. In addition, this partnership relation with family provides the benefit to family in terms of opportunity to get connected with the services. Through this service, family play significant role in development of their child in terms of learning and sharing the information with each other. Further, working together as a partner helps the family and care staff to develop trust on each other as well as communicate easily with each other in regards to the information related to their child.

Answer 3:

The Standard or element, which aligns to the work practices in association with the National Quality Standards are educational program and practices, children health and safety etc. It is important to focus on the children health and safety parameters, while providing the education and safeguarding their future. In addition, the quality area 6 in collaborative partnership with families and communities focuses on the admission and enrolment, arrangements for the delivery and collection of children’s etc. The admission and enrolment provides requirements in relation with the parents and guardians to complete the terms and conditions from prior to the starting care.

Answer 4:

The policy and procedure is required to be considered while sharing information about a child is information sharing policy. Under this policy, practitioner is required to understand the importance of information sharing related to the child performance in the education or care center. The practitioners are responsible to share the information as well as they are obliged to keep all child details confidential. In regards to my work practice, the selected policy and procedure is aligned properly as every  staff member is obliges to keep the child information confidential as well as share that information only with their parents at the time of evaluating the child learning and development.

Question 2 (Value of relationships)

Answer 1:

Humanistic theory is underpinned by intentional and active learning approaches under which personal teaching philosophy is used to develop a value and relationship between family and educator. This personal teaching philosophy encourages the people in a positive manner which transform into the high values and relationships.

Answer 2:

The Early Years Learning Framework (DEEWR, 2009) guides educator and family in developing a strong relationship on the basis of three concepts i.e., belonging, being and becoming. This Early Years Learning Framework (DEEWR, 2009) is an effective framework which provides the base for planning, contributing & evaluating the children learning and behavior.

Question 3 (Participation)

Answer 1:

The early learning environment helps in upgrading the educational level among the children at their initial stage only. For example, participation of families has been encouraged by providing personal experience in the schools, where children are able to learn and gain experience.

Answer 2:

The opportunities for the families have been provided with the help of group discussion, where each individual is free to provide feedback on the early childhood education service and program.

Answer 3:

The cross questioning and interactive section with the family helps in authentically listening to a family’s input on the educational component of the program and valued their input as an equal partner.
