As a result, Sundar Pichai has demonstrated that he takes a proactive approach to workplace abuse, whether it occurs online or off (Sheehan et al. 2020). As a result, he focuses on building explicit regulations to safeguard employees from bullying, such as examples of acceptable and inappropriate conduct and ways for employees to report bullying instances.

Personal Skills Appraisal

SWOT

STRENGTH WEAKNESS
●      Creative mindset

●      Good communication skills

●      The capability to ask important questions

●      Anxiety

●      Inpatient

●      Cannot handle work pressure

OPPORTUNITIES THREATS
●      Development of skills and behaviours

●      Joining self-development class

●      Attend several marketing conferences

●      Excess work pressure

●      Competitive colleague

As of the strains, I have been witnessing that I have a strong and creative mindset which helps me to focus on developing new strategies and ideas for better performance. I have also noticed that I have good communication skills based on the presentation I portray to the clients. The strength of having good communication skills provides me with the benefit of managing a team sufficiently (Clement and Murugavel, 2018). It also helps me to increase the performance level of the team with better communication among the team members. As I have good communication skills, it has been noted that I am able to ask important questions in order to determine the best marketing strategies for future performance growth.

As mentioned above in the swot analysis chart, it has been seen that one of my major weaknesses is anxiety among new people. When I offer ideas to customers, I have noted that I became seriously anxious and my fear of public speaking starts frequently. Hence, it results in affecting my presentation and affects my confidence to present the files to the clients. Even, I have noticed that I have a strong and compulsive motivation to do projects quickly and check them off my “to do” list, and thus, the quality of my work suffers (Peltonen et al. 2020). As a result, I’ve seen that my tendency for being impatient in all situations has had an impact on my work life. I also have witnessed that I face anxiety and stress when there is a lot of work pressure on me which causes my performance to drop.

As with all the opportunities, it has been noted that I have focused on developing my skills and behaviours by joining several classes that are focused on self-development. Whereas, it will also provide me with the ability to overcome and surpass my anxiety issues while speaking around several people. I have also had the opportunity to attend several marketing conferences which would provide me with basic strategic options for networking as well as offer some training seminars. Whereas, by focusing on all these personal skill appraisals I have encountered several threats. These threats can affect my professional career and my self-confidence. A shortage of staff in our organizations can affect my performance as well as the quality of work as it will increase work pressure (Ugwu et al. 2020). Based on the above statements, it has been noticed that excessive work brings me anxiety. Thus, it will also bring down my motivational level to work effortlessly and stay competitive with my colleagues in the organization.

Ryff’s 6 Factor Model

The Ryff six-factor model is a theory that is based on the well-being of individuals’ psychology. The theory was developed by Carol Ryff which helps in highlighting the six factors of individual psychology based on their well-being, contentment, and happiness. Based on the studies of Costea-Bărluțiu et al (2018), it has been noted that the well-being of the individual psychology stage depends on the positive relationship with others. The six factors of this theory are referred to as autonomy, environmental mastery, positive relation, personal growth, purpose in life, and self-acceptance. Hence, each of these factors focuses on self-development as well as the psychological improvement of an individual in a regular lifestyle. Different individuals have different scores based on their professional and personal life in this model (Kouali et al. 2018).

Personal Effectiveness

Figure 2: Ryff’s 6 Factor Model

(Source: The minds journal, 2022)

Based on my personal psychological development, I will be adapting to this theory to showcase the six factors of my psychological agreements and disagreements based on the theory. As of the first factors of this theory, autonomy highlights an individual’s capability to handle social pressures based on his or her behaviours (Themindsjournal, 2022). It can be stated that I have a low score of autonomy which can be scored as 2 out of 6. The second factor of this theory highlights environmental mastery. This particular factor highlights an individual’s capability to use the opportunities effectively which includes managing everyday efforts and creating situations to benefit personal development (Themindsjournal, 2022). In this particular factor, I may be rated as 5 out of 6 as I am aware of driving opportunities and focus on developing my weaknesses into strengths. The third factor of this theory highlights the personal growth scenario of an individual, based on this criterion I may be ranked in higher numbers as 5 out of 6. I focus on my personal goals and try to pursue training and development programs for personal growth.

The fourth element emphasizes healthy interpersonal relationships. High scores indicate that the respondent is involved in significant interpersonal connections that include reciprocal empathy, tenderness, and affection (Chi et al. 2019). I am able to communicate effectively with other team members and employees because of my strong communication abilities. As a result, it gives me the capacity to create positive relationships with people, and I may receive a 4 out of 6 scores. The fifth component in the idea denotes an individual’s goal in life. Hence, high scores demonstrate the respondent’s strong goal orientation and belief in the purpose of life (Villarosa and Ganotice, 2018). As a result of my belief in self-development and attention to the future growth of my professional career, I have a high score in this aspect. I may receive a score of 4 out of 6 in this category. In terms of the sixth factor, Self-Acceptance, based on my existing skills I will earn a 3 out of 6 on this one.

Effect of your weaknesses on employability prospects

My personal flaws, such as lack of confidence in new individuals and impatience when working on a project, may have an impact on my professional prospects. Based on a variety of conditions in an organization, these flaws might be a detriment to my employability chances. Employees that are consistent and focused on team-building with a high degree of performance and devotion are in great demand in today’s market (Jaiswal et al. 2019). Because of my worry and stress at work, I will be seen as a weak candidate for the organization for which I may be interviewed. As a result, I may face several rivals and persons for the same position in the organization. Thus, I can conclude that, these flaws may be a liability in my working life.

Learning Methods Discussion

Strategies for personal development

As mentioned above, it has been seen that there are three vital weaknesses that have been faced by me in my personal development criteria such as anxiety, being impatient, and being unable to handle work pressure. I believe it is essential at this stage to adopt strategies which can help in minimizing the impact of my weaknesses in my career moving forward. The key aim of the strategies would be improving my overall employability skills and also ensure that I further strengthen my existing skills. There are several strategies that can help me to overcome these weaknesses. Thus, one of the major strategies to eliminate my anxiety disorders when meeting new people or presenting any project in front of several individuals. The strategy is to work on my communication skills and communicate with new individuals from different aspects of life (Van, 2018). This strategy would provide me the confidence to face new individuals and improve my self-awareness and anxiety issues among strangers. It will also help me to enhance my communication skills among the other team members of the organization this would turn my anxiety issue into our strength. As a result, the strategy will provide me with the ability to do better presentations for the organization and enhance my performance level. This strategy also includes participation in several programs and online courses which will help me to interact with strangers and focus on interaction. It will provide me with the ability to enhance my interaction skills among strangers and helps me to communicate without any fear or anxiety.

As the second weakness, I am quite impatient in several aspects which has had negative effects on my quality of work. The strategy behind developing self-control and eliminating any type of inpatient nature from my personal behavior is the main key to focusing on doing yoga and meditation (Hennecke and Bürgler, 2020). This strategy will help me to bring peace to my mind and mentality which will eliminate any type of inpatient behaviour in my workspace. As a result, I will be able to focus on my work on a more serious note and will be able to develop my work qualities while facing excessive pressure. It will also help me to bring up my self-esteem and motivation level among others and stay competitive in the team. My third weakness is my inability to handle work pressure which is a great disadvantage and drawback to my professional life. Unable to handle work pressure is the main problem behind getting demotivated as well as being unable to compete among the team members of the organization (Hughes et al. 2019). To eliminate this weakness, I have to adapt to the strategy of developing my capabilities to handle work pressure by practicing several tasks in a single period of time. The strategy of focusing on the different tasks in a single period of time will provide me with the ability to understand the work pressure and make me accustomed to the pressure.
