1.0 Introduction

 This assignment is then on the topic of ethical leadership and responsible leadership. Ethical and responsible leadership can be defined as ” leadership demonstrating and promoting normatively appropriate conduct through personal actions and interpersonal relations”.  and ethical leadership a leader who is promoting the example of ethical conduct and appropriate actions. as it is one of the essential topics in business that is why a leader has to be made very carefully. One can follow all the ethics and the rules of the organization. That is how he can develop leadership. The leader has to follow the morals which are set for the organization, and in this case, the leader has to set Examples of models in front of the whole organization. To do all this, professional and personal development is needed very much for growing responsible leadership. So in this assignment, it will be learnt how to develop personal and professional behaviour in an organization.

 2.0 Main Body

 If we categorize the responsible and ethical leadership, then we will find four categories nearly symmetrical-analytical, integrative, narrative-interpretive, action-advocacy. According to their Work, leadership can be categorized in four ways those are the inspirational leader, managerial leader, relational leader, transformational leader etc. This responsible and ethical detail should follow all of this quality of the leadership where the inspirational leader leads the team giving an example of motivation or inspiration by which the whole team will get some into to work well, similarly the relational leader these leaders helps to create a strong bond between employees while doing work because this bond is need it too much to finish a work in a successful manner and guide Their employees. The managerial leader is an essential category because this kind of leader physically manages how to do the work and how to finish that within time by making a strategy for the work. That is why managerial leaders are the pillar of organizational success. so all categories of leaders are essential to be held responsible and ethical. These all categories set an example of ethics and responsibility in the organizational environment so that their employees can follow the path of the leaders and make the organization successful. This is how strong, responsible and ethical leadership make the reputation of the organization and give it to the market.

The complexity of business is increasing day by day. That is why it becomes a necessity to introduce models or ethics in the organization so that Temple can follow them. There are various legal regulations which make the task of leading responsibility in a globalizing economy more difficult. The leadership positions of the forms should involve themselves in the ethical and responsible behaviour not only for the shareholders or the clients, but they need to show this responsible behaviour towards the environment also and the society. Because nowadays some businesses and earning in a way are harming the environment rapidly and this will lead to global warming and harm us, citizens. The consequences of this can lead to serious environmental problems (Kim and Thapa, 2018). That is the only reason that a responsible and ethical behaviour of a leader is too important to set an image of responsibility towards nature. Organizations have to keep a leader who can set the examples of being responsible and ethical towards nature as well as with the organizations also because there is some internal piracy even in organizations. There is a lot of confidential data stored in the organizations, and if there is no ethics and morals in the organization, then this data can be leaked.  That is why responsibility and ethics are essential to introduce in an organization to give their values and secure their files. And the leaders took an important role in setting this image In front of the whole organization so that the employees can also follow the leader.

If we start to evaluate responsible leadership, then we will find some characteristic which is too important to be an ethical leader (Arda et al., 2017). Are ten essential characteristics which indicate a responsible leader.

To achieve the growth of a successful leader, there is a significant influence on professional and personal development. There are different methods by which one can improve the existing personal and professional trait to help become a successful leader.

Feedbacks are an essential source of information that is gathered from others regarding their opinion of an individual’s performance. If the feedback is carried out on a specific person, the others might provide their relative evaluation results on the person, which that person can use to improve himself, which in this case is me.

  • Tracking personal progress on a piece of paper

It is important to continuously track one’s progress constantly to determine where we are currently and take the next step towards the attainment of any personal goal. By constantly jotting down the daily records of goals achieved in the day, month or week, one can determine if they are working sufficiently.

  • Indulging in tactics and activities that we are good at

It is essential for an individual to focus on the tactics and alternatives which were previously used in solving a given problem and then utilizing them to further solve other problems (Feng et al., 2019). It is often beneficial to use tactics and perform activities that we are familiarised with to make ourselves better.

  • Taking baby steps toward a learning process

It is an excellent way of advising relatively inexperienced individuals and people lacking in idealization. Mentoring is a way that can boost morale and allow for professional development to occur.

The idea to switch roles with consideration to a specific task for which a given individual is allotted can increase the set of skills and make the person more diverse situational problems not accustomed to priorly and make development in the profession.

  • Attending conferences and seminar

Attending seminars and conferences to widen the existing knowledge bases and learning from the past experience of others is an excellent way in acquiring professional development.

  • Self-study approach to hone a skill

It can also be defined as gathering relevant knowledge pertaining to a specific skill or problem from viable sources is a great option as well.

  • 360-degree performance review

360-degree review is the final approach wherein the review of the performance of the individual or the leader is gathered from the peers and team members that provide valuable information regarding the necessary changes that are needed to be incorporated for the betterment.

The different methods of personal and professional development were used by me, and not all of them were ideal for my self-development, and certain specific methods were more compatible for me in due course of me applying them (Engelbrecht et al., 2017). The necessity of tracking progress, gathering knowledge from books, seminars, gathering feedback from peers and job role exchange enabled me to further improve my skills as a responsible leader while I was working on projects with my friends or attending study groups where a specific problem was being analyzed. It was also observed while I worked for part-time jobs on how it improved my skills when I gathered knowledge about my work from outside sources as well as giving attention to feedback. It helped me a lot in understanding growth in terms of personal and professional development. I achieved this while using the aforementioned methods involving personal and professional development.

3.0 Conclusion

As per the requirement, the traits and techniques involving the characteristics of responsible and ethical leadership were evaluated in detail. Different traits and techniques conforming to the leadership characteristic were analyzed and discussed. The different methods that can help develop the personal and professional growth that can ultimately define one’s own leadership identity, and decision-making skills were identified and applied as well. Lastly, the reflection on the self-development and actualization achieved as a result of the application of the personal and professional methods was done for the assignment. In this way, it was possible to improvise the existing skills in terms of being an ethical and responsible leader was achieved by me to a small extent.
