Topic – The main aim of this research is to determine the significance of distance learning in higher education

Research Rationale

This topic of the research will be helpful for the students as well as for the educations institutes to get the clear understanding and the knowledge about the distance learning in the high education. There are different courses such as Mcom, MBA, Phd, MPhill, etc that are considered as a higher education. So, if there is a time issue or the distance issues then students approach to do the distance learning then helps the students to complete the higher education on time and effectively (López-Pérez et al., 2011).

But at the same time, despite of having lots of advantage of distance learning, there are different issues and the challenges that are also faced by the students and the educational institutes of distance learning. In this, lack of understanding of the subject, poor communication between the students and the tutor, low clearance of the different subjects, etc. Therefore, it can be determined that this research on the topic of distance learning in higher education will be helpful for the all including the students and the distance learning course providing institutes (Moore et al., 2011). It will also make clear the students about the advantage and the disadvantage of the distance learning and its role in the success of the students in their life.

Aims and the objectives

The main aim of this research is to identify the significance of the distance learning in higher education. In order to achieve the aim of this research, below are the some objectives that will be accomplished by the researcher.

• To determine the importance of the distance learning in higher education
• To identify the issues that are faced by the students and the higher education firms in distance learning
• To determine the ways that can be used to overcome the issues in distance learning

• What are the challenges that are occurred in the distance learning?
• What are the ways that can be used to overcome the issues in distance learning?

Deliverables

There are different results that can be take place in this research but at the same time, in the concern of this research, the output will be that distance learning plays a vital role in the successful education of the students as well as the outcomes of this research will be that this research will clear that what is the importance of the distance learning and what are the challenges that are faced by the students and the distance learning education providing institutes (Cheon et al., 2012).  Therefore, it can be determined that the outcomes of this research will be grateful for the students and the distance learning institutes as well. Apart from this, for better outcomes, some secondary data will also be used that will make clear the researcher to complete the research and to produce the valid research outcomes.
